Things by Deborah Moggach was hugely successful and is delightfully funny and sweet.

Based on a short story by William Locke, this film tells the story of two sisters, Ursula
and Janet (played by Judi Dench and Maggie Smith), who discover a handsome stranger
on the beach. They nurse him back to health but the presence of the musically talented
man disrupts their peaceful lives and that of the community in which they live.

Picnic at Hanging Rock (dir. Peter Weir, 1975)
This classic Australian drama and mystery film adapted from Joan Lindsay’s novel. The
