We have a constant requirement for professional Engineers at all levels within the following
disciplines:
Aircraft Loads & Dynamics
Encompasses adaptation/validation of mechanical and aero elastic mathematical models for subsequent
overall aircraft loads calculation and analysis.
Requirements: Experience working in flight physics / knowledge of EASA Certification Specifications /
awareness of relevant Airworthiness requirements and procedures / knowledge of engineering analysis tools
such as MATLAB, NASTRAN and Unix is also required.
Design Structures
Responsible for designing and improving existing design principles / Support on-going continuous
improvement, working in a fully 3D digital environment.
Requirements: Understanding of aircraft primary structures / Design engineering background with experience
of Catia V5.
Finite Element Analysis
Developing and disseminating methods, tools and processes to support the prediction of actual structural
strength by means of static non-linear finite element analysis at all structural scales.
Requirements: An excellent understanding of structural analysis and engineering mechanics principles / be
able to demonstrate technical expertise in the use of non-linear analysis methods, preferably using the
ABAQUS solver / excellent knowledge of non-linear finite element theory and practical experience in the use
of Abaqus CAE, Hypermesh and Catia V5 / a good working knowledge of FORTRAN and/or Python
programming.
Avionics Systems
Exciting positions to work across the Airbus fleet of aircraft on fuel systems. C
Requirements: Demonstrate Systems Engineering experience and ideally have a background in Aerospace.
Stress Engineering
Carrying out static stress calculations to assess design solutions for a range of tasks, ranging from
modifications to manufacturing concessions against the Aircraft Design requirements.
Requirements: Experience working in stress engineering, involved in the analysis of composite and metallic
structures using a broad range of standard hand and computer methods.
Materials and Processes
Standardisation of parts, materials and processes for all Airbus programmes.
Requirements: Proven experience in Mechanical / Materials Engineering / Project Management / six sigma
type competences and experience in the design and manufacture of composite materials / demonstrate a
basic fundamental knowledge of stress analysis.

GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN AND AERONAUTICAL INDUSTRY
OPERATIONS
4th Edition. 2012-2013
The master of Engineering in “Global Supply Chain and Industry Operations” is a degree of the Sevilla
University and is sponsored by EADS Spain. It has been designed for recent Engineering graduates who
want to increase their knowledge (academic and practical) on global supply chain management,
engineering operations, manufacturing, assembly, quality and lean. During the master period (1 year),
students will be interns in Spanish Airbus sites.
Fluency in English and in Spanish are required (most of the courses are given in Spanish).

practical aspects of design, development and industrialisation of structures in composite materials.

• To enter students must register as a team of three to five members at www.airbus-fyi.com
• Registration is now open until 30th of November; the competition opens on 3rd of September and
ends on 7th of December
• Students can use the Fly Your Ideas Facebook application to find team mates with similar interests.
• The final takes place in June 2013 when the top selected teams will present their ideas to a panel of
Airbus and industry experts.

AIRBUS PRESENTS AN ILLUMINATING VISION OF THE FUTURE OF FLIGHT
Ahead of the ILA Berlin Air Show, Airbus will transform
the city’s iconic Humboldt Box structure into a giant
canvas with a spectacular 4D projection light show to
launch The Future by Airbus, a vision of Smarter Skies
in 2050 and beyond.
Join us on a journey to the future of flight!
When: Saturday 8th September 2012
Time: Every 15 minutes from 8:45pm – 10:45pm
Where: Humboldt-Box, Schlossplatz 5, 10178 Berlin
This unique light show is the first of its kind on the Humboldt Box. Dramatic graphics will envelope the
building as the Airbus Concept Plane appears to take to the skies and fly in formation above Berlin,
highlighting the benefits of smarter aircraft, smarter technology, and smarter skies in 2050. In stunning
schematics, the Smarter Skies light show will illustrate the benefits of smarter aircraft operations that could
cut travel time, reduce emissions and ease delays.
The light show will be beamed onto the Humboldt Box at 15 minute intervals from 8:45pm – 10:45pm on
Saturday 8th September. The Humboldt Box is in the centre of Berlin on Museum Island.
