The latest and greatest design Beneteau recently released is the Lagoon 450 catamaran. This is the latest creation by Van Peteghem Lauriot Prévost designers, and features an open air cockpit design,
with easy to operate controls and state of the art sailing, needing only
two people to completely handle this luxury sailing catamaran. Having
the cockpit well above the water line allows for a superb visual range,
with improved handling in tight harbors or marinas. The aft area has a
hard top covering, to protect you from the sun, and light rain.
The Lagoon 450’s main challenge consists in replacing the legendary Lagoon 440 (400 units built to date!). Of course, the irreplaceable
qualities of the Lagoon 440 have been retained as a starting point:
a steering station on the fly bridge accessible from both sides of the
cockpit, a forward cockpit, performance under sail … and an incomparable comfort in the saloon and the cabins. Larger and with a bigger
sail area, the Lagoon 450 benefits from important improvements in
terms of safety, performance and cruising comfort.
Lagoon 450 saloon: a warm and spacious living room, bathed in natural light. The interior space is home to the ample galley main dining
and central eating area. Then you have another large seating and
entertainment area aft, as well as forward. Galley is on the same
level as the cockpit.
