Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl
Filigree structures made of steel profiles and
energy efficient steel sheet systems for roofs
and facades are widely used for industrial and
multi-storey buildings, for traffic and public buildings. The decisive advantages are quick and easy
mounting, the high degree of pre-fabrication, low
maintenance and excellent recycling properties.
The combination with other materials creates
synergies for particularly economical buildings
with outstanding architecture.
Renowned architects and engineers from Europe
and the United States will present international
projects and innovative solutions with steel structure and elements, which were realized in perfect
combination with complementary building systems
made of textile, wood, glass, concrete or other
metallic materials. The focus, however, is laid
on the advantages of steel for construction,
architecture, cost effectiveness and sustainability.
In addition to space-enclosing facades and widespan steel structures, constructive solutions and
details combined with complementary materials
will be shown as well as visionary designs which
were not yet realized.

The congress takes place at
Congress Center West of the Essen
Fair, Norbertstrasse, 45131 Essen/
Germany, on 13 January 2016.
Admission at 8:00 a.m.
The participation fee is 48 Euro
(24 Euro for students). Cancellation and
refund of the fee are permitted until
18 December 2015.
Replacement is possible.
Registations can be made at
www.stahl-online.de (Veranstaltungen) and
will be confirmed by mail, the invoices will
be attached. Upon receipt of payment the
participants will obtain the final confirmation.

after the congress. Some Chambers of
Architects and Chambers of Civil Engineers

After the congress, free entrance tickets
for the trade fair DEUBAUKOM 2016 will

density to be taken into account). Parking
available in the fair car parks.
