Status of EBSCO AZ and LinkSource
GALILEO has been working with EBSCO on basic configuration of AZ and LinkSource for all
GALILEO institutions, with the exception of those that already have EBSCO AZ accounts and
those libraries that will be migrating from another AZ solution.

New AZ (to be FullText Finder) Accounts: The timeline on this effort has been pushed
back to from July to October due EBSCO’s plan to release a new platform for these
services called “FullText Finder. Originally planned for sometime in late August – early
September, as of October the general release of this product and specific release to
GALILEO has been delayed.
This product will replace the (1) AZ (in first release) and (2) LinkSource (in second
release, tentative January 2014) products and it seems to offer an enhanced
administrative experience for more granular, title-level management. Their roll-out plan
has at least two phases, including initial release to new customers only, followed by
migration for existing AZ customers later. This is based on part on the fact that the
linking piece (2) will not be available until January 2014. Based on the amount of
configuration that is needed to set up almost 400 accounts, GALILEO and EBSCO
agreed to set up all of the new accounts in the new platform beginning in October. A
schedule will be shared when available. Baseline account configuration will be followed
by an elective training process for libraries for hands-on management capabilities of
EBSCO Discovery Service and FullText Finder.

Migrating Serials Solutions Accounts: Six of seven sites have been migrated into the
legacy EBSCO AZ environment due to subscription end dates in early to mid-September.
Georgia College and State University will migrate in 2014.
