Benighted, Powerwolf).
• Alle Drums wurden gemäß den zuvor programmierten Drumspuren von Solar Fragment-Schlagzeuger Sascha Schiller eingespielt.
• Mit Dan Swanö (Edge of Sanity), Karsten „Jagger“ Jäger (Disbelief) und Arno Menses (Sieges Even) konnten bekannte Stimmen
für Gastauftritte gewonnen werden, die je nach Song sorgfältig
ausgewählt wurden.
• Another Perfect Day ist ein reines Studioprojekt.

ANOTHER PERFECT DAY was founded back in 1993 with a classic band line-up, and
the band was quite active within the German Death Metal underground at that time.
Even at that time, the band classified its sound as a mix between melodic Gothenburg
death metal and melancholic British doom death metal. Plans were made to record
the debut album in 1997. But the band split up right before the recordings. The only
audio clips left from this time are three songs which eventually were to be used as
bonus tracks for future albums.
After the split, songwriter, guitar player and vocalist Kristian “Kohle” Kohlmannslehner
concentrated on his work as studio and live musician – but above all, on his work as
producer which resulted in opening the Kohlekeller Studios. After numerous productions (for bands like Sieges Even, Crematory, Flowing Tears, Benighted, Powerwolf) the
idea came up to transfer the music of ANOTHER PERFECT DAY to the new millenium by
making use of the new technical possibilities with a decent degree of sophistication in
forms of a solo project. In 2005, the two songs were composed spontaneously (“the
lullaby”, “the ghost, she slept beside me”) which marked the new beginning of ANOTHER PERFECT DAY. The first euophoric reactions and finally the contact to Supreme
Chaos Records were the reason for the band‘s decision to work out a detailed album.
Because SCR focused on sophisticated music of remarkable artists, preparations for
the release of the debut album “The Gothenburg Post Scriptum” were made shortly
after. However, it should take 2 more years before all recordings were finished and all
guests could be invited to contribute an individual part for this albulm. In any case:
the result exceeds all expectations. Now, ANOTHER PERFECT DAY‘s debut album will
be released in 2010. 13 years later but way stronger, more mature and more profound
than once planned.
ANOTHER PERFECT DAY wurde 1993 als klassische Band gegründet und war zunächst
einige Zeit im deutschen Death Metal-Underground aktiv. Bereits damals befand man
sich stilistisch irgendwo zwischen melodischem Göteburg Death Metal und melancholischem, englischen Doom Death. Ursprünglich sollte bereits 1997 ein Debüt-Album
erscheinen, jedoch zerfiel die Band kurz vor den Aufnahmen. Einziges Ton-Dokument
aus dieser Zeit sind drei Songs – einer davon sollte Jahre später bei „The Gothenburg
Post Scriptum“ als Bonus-Track Verwendung finden.
Nach der Auflösung wandte sich Songwriter, Gitarrist und Sänger Kristian „Kohle“
Kohlmannslehner der Arbeit als Studio- und Live-Musiker, aber vor allem als Produzent
zu, woraus 1999 die Gründung der Kohlekeller Studios folgte. Nach unzähligen
Produktionen (u.a. für Bands wie Sieges Even, Crematory, Flowing Tears, Benighted,
Powerwolf) kam ohne ernsthaften Hintergrund der Gedanke auf, die Musik, die damals
nicht fortgesetzt werden konnte, mit neuen technischen Möglichkeiten, entsprechender Reife und als Soloprojekt ins neue Jahrtausend zu führen. 2005 entstanden zwei
spontane Songs („the lullaby”, „the ghost, she slept beside me”). Erst die euphorischen Reaktionen in verschiedenen Internetforen und schließlich der Kontakt zu
Supreme Chaos Records ließen aus einer fixen Idee ein bis ins Detail ausgearbeitetes
Album entstehen. Da das Label sich auf anspruchsvolle Musik besonders ungewöhnlicher Künstler spezialisiert hat, traf man bald letzte Vorbereitungen zur Veröffentlichung des Debüt-Albums „The Gothenburg Post Scriptum“. Es sollte dann noch fast
2 Jahre dauern, bis alle Aufnahmen abgeschlossen waren und alle Gäste für das
Beisteuern eines individuellen Parts eingeladen werden konnten. Dennoch gelang es
dem endgültigen Resultat, alle Erwartungen zu übertreffen. Somit erscheint nun das
Debüt-Album von ANOTHER PERFECT DAY im Jahre 2010. 13 Jahre später – jedoch viel
stärker, reifer und tiefsinniger als geplant.
