The German Limes Road REMARKABLE RELICS OF EARTHWORKS AND OTHER MONUMENTS, RECONSTRUCTIONS AND MUSEUMS VEREIN DEUTSCHE LIMES-STRASSE E.V. www.limesstrasse.de The German Limes Road runs along the Upper GermanicRhaetian Limes from Rheinbrohl/Bad Hönningen on the Rhine to Regensburg on the Danube as a tourist route. Bad Hönningen 1 There are numerous historically interesting stations of Roman history in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, BadenWuerttemberg and Bavaria en route. They include rebuilt towers and forts, or parts thereof, preserved fort and fort baths foundation walls, as well as sections of the border fortifications themselves, which can still be identified and, last but not least, these finds can be seen in smaller and larger museums. These stations are stringed to each other like a row of pearls on a necklace, each one a Roman highlight in itself.
