International comparison of winter wheat and winter rape
cultivation (VA20/VA21)
Dry sites and heavy soils: a new challenge for participants in the
wheat and oilseed rape comparison trials! Teams from Denmark,
France, Poland, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, the Czech Republic
and Germany are competing again for the highest yields, best
quality and of course, highest direct-cost-free output. To find the
winner, we will be harvesting both trial crops, evaluating them
and then publishing the results. Visitors are invited to stand
alongside the crops and discuss cultivation practices, nitrogen
balances and crop protection with the participants and then
apply their newfound knowledge on their own farms.
