Preparing for use
1. To switch the unit on and off
Firstly connect the power pack
to the Label Maxx (1), then
connect to the mains.
Important
When switching off the unit, first
take the plug out of the socket.
This will protect the unit.

Loosen fixing screws (4).
Adjust the 3 components of the
material reel until the material
roll is held fast (3).
3. Insert material
3.1 Push the top edge of the
material brake (8) back until it
goes no further.
3.2 Remove the first 40mm of
labels on the reel, insert
material into paper tray (6) and
pull through to front edge of the
housing.
3.3 Adjust the material guide
(5)
on the right hand side to the
material width.
3.4 Adjust the material sensor
(9) sideways so that the
position mark (10) is in line with
the material centre.
3.5 Pull the material brake (8)
forward (returning it to its
original position) and the label
will be dispensed.
3.6 Guide the backing paper
(14) under the unit and connect
it to the rewinder (13).
4. Remove material
4.1 Push the material brake (8)
half way back, the automatic
feed will stop and the last
dispensed label can be taken.
4.2 Then push the material
brake back(8) as far as it will
go, cut the backing paper
between the rewinder and unit,
and remove the material by
pulling it back up through the unit.
Remove the backing paper regularly from the rewinder (13).

Operating

The sensor must be positioned exactly for all labels with a non-rectangular
shape (round, oval, triangular...).
3. Labels with
non-rectangular
shape
The highest point of the label must be between the small rolls of the sensor.
To switch the unit on or off simply connect it to, or disconnect it from, the
mains socket. It is not essential to switch the unit off when not in use.
Socket must be freely accessible.
The device is to be operated only with power supplies which comply with
the requirements of safety extra low voltage (SELV) according to DIN, VDE
0805.
The cable can be fixed by a clamp at the housing.

Options: High speed / counter
The unit has two feeding speeds,
2" or 3" per second
and a feature for counting the amount of labels dispensed.
Adjustment of speed

Press PROGRAMM key and hold it down,
press UP key and release both.
Recommended for long labels.

Press PROGRAMM key and hold it down,
press DOWN key and release both.
Recommended for short labels or labels with high weight
or adhesive with high release value.
Counter
When a stop signal comes from the label sensor, the display counts one digit
up. By pressing the START/STOP key the value is reset to "0".
Operation
• Insert material as described.
• Reset counter to "0" by pressing START/STOP.
• Pull the material brake forward.
Troubleshooting
1. Fix material roll tightly at material reel (2).
2. Adjust material guide (5) exactly to material width.
3. Align the position mark to the centre of the material.
Paper is drawn in

Push the material brake (8) half way back, remove paper and even out
any creases in the material.

rubber rolls under the transport shaft for dust and dirt, clean them if

Automatic feed
does not work, or works
continuously
When using ”high speed“:
Select lower speed (2)
Depending on the thickness of the material used, a readjustment of the label
sensor (9) may be necessary.
Turn the adjustment screw (11) on the sensor cover gradually, when the
material brake is half turned and check function accordingly:
If automatic feed is not working, twist clockwise.
It automatic feed is working continuously, twist anticlockwise.
Check that the backing paper is not in contact with the material roll or the
unit, remove if necessary.

or backing paper is not
winded
Release the automatic feed manually by pushing the material brake half way
back. Push the label sensor right, away from the material. Replace the
material brake and run the machine until the splice has passed. Then push
the material brake again, replace the sensor over the material centre and pull
the material brake forward. The next label will be dispensed correctly
automatically.

Maintenance and care
Check and clean the following parts from dust and adhesive residue.
1. Label sensor (9)
The two small rolls on the label sensor should turn easily.
2. Transport shaft (7)
Important:
Before starting any cleaning work, disconnect the unit.
Push transport shaft upwards (see illustration below);
both rubber rollers can be turned by rolling them with your fingers.
3. Material brake (8)
Move the material brake by pushing its top edge (see illustration below);
return to its initial position after cleaning.
Cleaners
Light benzene and fluff-free, soft cloth.
Do not clean the rollers with sharp objects.

Material tray with CE version
Mount material tray with two screws on to the unit.
Adjust the material guide on the left hand side laterally so it is in line with the
unit’s material guide.
Set the material guide on the left hand side to the material’s width.
Note:
The material guides are easier to move when gripped at the bottom.

the adhesive, so that the label is always correctly dispensed.

Bei allen Etikettenformen ohne gerade Endkante (z.B. rund, oval, dreieckig
usw.) muß die Sensorposition (10) sehr exakt eingestellt werden.
3. Etiketten mit
nicht rechteckiger
Form
Der höchste Punkt des Etiketts muß sich zwischen den kleinen Rollen des
Sensors befinden.
Gerät ein-/ausschalten
Ein-/Ausschalten des Geräts erfolgt durch An-/Abstecken der Stromversorgung von der Netzsteckerdose. Ausschalten ist nicht zwingend erforderlich,
das Gerät kann angesteckt bleiben. Steckdose frei zugänglich halten!
Dieses Gerät darf nur mit Netzteilen betrieben werden, die die
Anforderungen an Sicherheitskleinspannung (SELV) nach DIN, VDE 0805
erfüllen.
Zur besseren Führung des Kabels kann seitlich am Gehäuse ein mitgelieferter Halter angeklebt werden.
Option High Speed / Counter
Diese Option ermöglicht den Wechsel zwischen Spendegeschwindigkeit:
2" oder 3" pro Sekunde
sowie Zählen der gespendeten Etiketten in aufsteigender Reihenfolge.
Geschwindigkeit einstellen

Zählvorgang
Bei jedem Stopsignal des Etikettensensor zählt die Anzeige eine Nummer
vorwärts. Mit der START/STOP-Taste wird der Zähler auf “0“ zurückgesetzt.
Vorgehensweise
• Etikettenmaterial laut Beschreibung einlegen.
• Mit START/STOP-Taste Zähler auf “0“ zurücksetzen.
• Materialbremse ganz nach unten drücken.
Fehlerhandling
1. Rolle sicher auf Materialhalter (2) fixieren
2. Materialführung (5) korrekt auf Bahnbreite einstellen
3. Positionsanzeige/Etikettensensor (10) auf Bahnmitte orientieren

Abhängig von der Dicke des Etikettenmaterials kann Nachstellen des
Etikettensensors (9) erforderlich werden.
Dazu mit Innensechskantschlüssel 1.5 mm die im Sensorgehäuse befindliche
Schraube (11) bei halb gekippter Materialbremse (8) schrittweise nachdrehen
und jeweils die Funktion prüfen:
Kein bzw. unregelmäßiger Vorschub:
Permanenter Vorschub:
Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn
Gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen
Prüfen, ob aufgerolltes Abdeckpapier an Materialrolle oder Gerät streift,
ggf. entfernen.

Vorschubsignal von Hand auslösen, d. h. Materialbremse (8) halb nach hinten kippen und mit Finger leicht auf linke Rolle des Etikettensensors (10)

unten drücken – das nächste Etikett wird gespendet.

War tung und Pfleg e
Kontrollieren und reinigen Sie folgende Stellen
in regelmäßigen Abständen von Staub und Kleberesten:
1. Etikettensensor (9)
Die Rollen des Sensors müssen frei drehen können.
2. Transportschwinge (7)
Achtung: Vor Beginn der Reinigungsarbeiten den Stromanschluß (1)
vom Gerät trennen!
Transportschwinge nach oben drücken (siehe Bild unten), beide
Gummiwalzen können durch Abrollen mit dem Finger gedreht werden.
3. Materialbremse (8)
Durch Andrücken an der oberen Kante drehen (siehe Bild unten), nach
Reinigung der Bremskante wieder in Ausgangsstellung zurückdrehen.
Reinigungsmittel:
Leichtbenzin und flusenfreies, weiches Tuch.
Die Walzen nicht mit scharfen Gegenständen reinigen!

Abrollwanne am Modell Ce
Abrollwanne mit 2 Schrauben ans Gerät anschrauben
(Innensechskantschlüssel 4mm liegt bei).
Linke, seitliche Materialführung der Abrollwanne an die des Spendegeräts
anpassen.
Rechte Materialführung an Materialbreite anpassen.
Hinweis:
Die Materialführungen lassen sich leichtgängig verschieben, wenn Sie diese
nicht am oberen sondern am unteren Rand anfassen.
