Intended for particularly talented young artists from the international arena, the Arosa Music Academy is an extension of the Arosa Music Course Weeks. Each student will participate in masterclasses held by internationally renowned teachers, receiving guidance in technique and interpretation. Chamber music and house concerts further enrich the musical experience. Prof. Christiane Oelze Voice Prof. Claudio Bohórquez Violoncello established a worldwide reputation as a singer, whether on the international opera stage or on the concert platform and is particularly well known for her Mozart roles. She has also built an extensive and varied Lied repertoire. One of her recent recordings is Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen under Paavo Järvi. From 2003 until 2008 she was Professor of singing at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. studied with Boris Pergamenschikow. First prize at the Geneva International Music Competition. Appeares regularly with the world's leading orchestras and conductors. He is equally in demand playing chamber music with eminent partners worldwide. He teaches at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin. Eric Schneider Piano/Correpetition after winning first prize in various competitions he decided to take an advanced course in Lied accompaniment taught by Hartmut Höll. For many years now he has enjoyed an intense artistic collaboration with eminent singers like Christiane Oelze, Christine Schäfer and Matthias Goerne. Eric Schneider teaches Lied repertoire at the Hochschule der Künste, Berlin. Prof. Konstantin Lifshitz Piano performs with all major orchestras in the world, from Berliner Philharmoniker to New York Philharmonic, works with conductors like Bernard Haitink or Christopher Hogwood, plays chamber music with musicians like Gidon Kremer, Misha Maisky, & Sol Gabetta. But also his Bach-interpretations ranks among the finest. Since 2008 Lifshitz is teaching at the Musikhochschule Luzern. Prof. Ingolf Turban Violin has appeared as a soloist in the world's greatest concert halls, from the Philharmonie in Berlin to the Avery Fisher Hall in New York. Working with conductors like Sergiu Celibidache, Charles Dutoit and Zubin Mehta, he commands an impressive repertoire including many rarely performed works. His recordings of Paganini concertos are legendary. After years at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, Ingolf Turban is now Professor at the Musikhochschule München. casalQuartet Daria Zappa // Violin Rachel Rosina Späth // Violin Markus Fleck // Viola Andreas Fleck // Violoncello The ECHO-prize winning quartet (2010) was established in 1996 and studied with the Amadeus-, Carmina- & Alban Berg Quartet as well as Walter Levin. More than one thousand concerts worldwide with musicians like Martha Argerich, Sol Gabetta, Nikolaj Tokarew, Christiane Oelze and many others have consolidated the cQ's reputation. Its repertoire ranges from pieces from the 17th/18th century on original instruments to the Avantgarde, Pop and Jazz. Massimiliano Matesic Composition/Conducting Florentine composer, studied composition with G.G.Luporini and S. Sciarrino. He is conductor of the Youth Symphony Orchestra, Zurich Conservatorium as well as guest conductor of many other orchestras in Germany, Switzerland and Japan. He teaches conducting at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg i.Br. The Arosa Music Academy is organised by the Arosa Cultural Circle, in collaboration with metropolis music publisher (Belgium), together with the support of the Hans Schaeuble Stiftung and the Kulturförderung Graubünden.
