Vor über 80 Jahren gründete die Familie Schön in
Seck/ Westerwald einen Schreiner-Meisterbetrieb,
der heute in dritter Generation als HolztreppenUnternehmen fortgeführt wird.
Mit modernsten computergesteuerten Anlagen entstehen Treppen für europäische Märkte. Der Erweiterungsbau in Rennerod trägt den gestiegenen
Anforderungen und Nachfragen des Marktes Rechnung. Etwa 100 Mitarbeiter produzieren hier über
3000 Anlagen p.a.
More than 80 years ago the Schön family founded a
master joinery in Seck/ Westerwald that continues
today in its third generation as a company specialising in wooden staircases.
State-of-the-art computer-controlled machine lines
aid in production of staircases for the European
markets. The company expansion in Rennerod took
into account the increased requirements and demands of the market. About 100 employees produce
over 3000 staircase systems here annually.

Der sichere Weg nach oben
Wangentreppen
Die ersten historischen Treppen aus Holz waren Wangentreppen.
Diese gibt es auch heute noch in unterschiedlichen Formen. Es gibt
die eingestemmte Wangen- und die aufgesattelte Wangentreppe,
sowie eine Mischung beider Varianten. Der Unterschied besteht darin,
dass bei der eingestemmten Form die Stufen seitlich in die Wangen
eingelassen sind – bei der aufgesattelten Form liegen die Stufen auf
den Wangen auf.
The Sure Way to the Top
Stringer Stairs
The first historical stairs made of wood were stringer stairs. These are
still available today in various forms. There is the mortised stringer
staircase and the saddled stringer staircase, as well as a combination
of the two. The main difference is that the mortised stringer design
has treads that are inset into the stringer – whereas in the saddled
design, the treads lay on top of the stringer.

Freitragende Treppen
Eine moderne, filigrane Art der Treppengestaltung durch den Entfall
der Holzwangen. Es ist bei dieser Treppenform zu beachten, dass die
umfassenden Treppenhauswände für die Erstellung des Treppensystems geeignet sind. Im Geländerbereich ist eine Vielfalt von unterschiedlichen Formen und Materialien möglich, meist wird das
Geländer mit einer Glasfüllung oder als Railinggeländer ausgeführt.

A modern and contemporary staircase, a truly open and airy design
due to the elimination of wooden strings. Load bearing walls are
necessary for this staircase however it is also possible to erect this
stair without having walls. A huge choice of banister and handrails

Wie die freitragende Treppe ist die Handlauftragende Treppe ebenfalls eine sehr transparente Lösung. Durch den tragenden Handlauf ist
man allerdings in der Gestaltungsvielfalt des Geländers eingeschränkt.
Handlauftragende Bolzentreppen können sowohl mit als auch ohne
Außenwange ausgeführt werden.

Like the self-supporting or cantilever staircase, the handrail supporting staircase is also a very transparent solution. Due to the supporting handrail, however, one is limited as to the variety of balustrade

Spindeltreppen werden häufig bei beengten Platzverhältnissen verwandt. Eine Besonderheit ist der gebogene nach oben aufsteigende
