So, why can't you get a job? Why do you go to pieces when you walk into the audition?
Why are my legs all wobbly, why can't I calm down. Can't they see that I am perfect for this
part? I only have 1 day before the casting. How am I supposed to get my head around that.
AAAHHHGGHH.
This is the tricky part. There are ways and means to tackle all of these problems. Whether it
is for TV, theatre, film or the latest tinned soup commercial the real world of acting can be
treacherous road.
I can't guarantee you will get every job. But you will feel more confident and secure
and know that you did the best you could.“
Paul Miller has taught acting at Drama Centre London, Methodstudio and City Lit.
Although he works mainly as an actor in England and is normally type cast as a deranged
psychopath or an odd looking comic bloke with large eyebrows.
He is also an accomplished film maker. "A short Film About Shopping" which he wrote and
directed premiered at the 55th London Film Festival and has gone on to screen at festivals
across Europe and America.
