Sustainability
MACO Germany has been a member of the German
Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) since January 2013.
Founded in 2007, the Council is a non-profit, non-governmental
organisation that, today, is the central platform for sustainable
building in Germany.
MACO defined and firmly anchored the term "sustainability" in
its corporate strategy several years ago. A strategy that strikes

MACO solutions
Examples of product solutions are the Fiber-Therm threshold
made of glass-fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) and the
manufacture of a variety of PVC hardware components in black
with added recycling material.

systems, not everybody is willing and able to pay for this
comparatively expensive solution. Particularly when there are
other ways to obtain comfortable, individual and inexpensive
solutions. Our ventilation versions for timber and PVC

As part of the obligation to provide a CE marking every window
manufacturer must provide practical verification that the
constructional units are airtight, water-tight and resistant to
wind (impermeability and water-tightness). The required test
must be carried out by an accredited and certified testing
agency.
Accredited MACO Test Centre
MACO is as an external partner agency of gbd-lab GmbH.
Window manufacturers receive an internationally valid test
certificate for impermeability and water-tightness directly from
MACO. In addition, MACO can also carry out tests for burglary
resistance in the accredited field.
