Bearing grease with TGOA®
CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100 GREASE with TGOA® was designed for normal service and can be used as multipurpose
(NLGI-2) grease, especially for fast moving bearings. Work-Shear-Stability matches the anticipated service life of
antifriction bearings.
TGOA® is an additive package designed to reduce friction while providing surface protection and improvement. TGOA®
additive package out-performs most other EP and antiwear additives because of its unique action on frictional surfaces.
In consideration of possible adverse effects on the environment, none of the following materials of expressed concern (i.e.
lead, barium, zinc) are used in manufacturing of CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100.
CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100 GREASE with TGOA® offers outstanding shear stability and controlled mobility under
shear; this results from a selection of a most stable lithium thickener and special manufacturing techniques.
Corrosion and oxidation inhibitors maximize effective rust protection and long life of the grease.
The TGOA® ' additive package is activated by high specific loads and corresponding temperatures causing a
chemical-physical reaction. This results is an equalization of surface roughness without creating abrasion.
The results of the TGOA® additive can be compared with a rolling process in the micro-range. The surface roughnesses
are gradually leveled and smoothed.
Through smoothing of the working surfaces, the loads are distributed over increasing areas and the actual load-bearing
areas are enlarged.
During the running-in process, the TGOA® additive package creates an optimum of smooth contact surf aces.
If, because of shock loads or stop-and-go operation, surfaces roughness peaks redevelop, the TGOA® additive package
is automatically reactivated. Surface roughness is again equalized and lubrication optimized.

CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100 GREASE with TGOA® is an excellent multiservice grease for all types of antifriction
bearings. Due to the base-oil viscosity of 100 mm2/s CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100 may also be used in fast moving
bearings.
In dusty operations the good sealing effect of CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100 prevents dirt from entering the bearing.
The outstanding physical and chemical stability of CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100 allows to extend relubrication intervals
of bearings in inaccessible places.
CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100 can be applied by automatic dispensing system designed for NLGI No. 2 grease
consistency.

Excellent sealing from hazardous environments including dust, water and water vapor.
Reduced friction due to the effect of the TGOA® additives is most evident under boundary and mixed lubrication
conditions.
Lower operating temperatures in "full packed" bearings prolong the service life of both grease and bearings.
Overall savings are derived from the above and result from less labor and downtime, smoother, more efficient operation
with longer parts life, and extended lubrication cycles.
NOTES FOR USE

CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030/100 GREASE with TGOA®, should not be mixed with grease using a different thickener.
Lubrication intervals should be increased gradually to ensure complete removal of previous lubricant, and to use the
TGOA® additives to their full advantage. CASTROL TRIBOL® 3030 is a "KP 2 K-30" grease (DIN 51502).
