General Maintenance
• Make sure all nuts and bolts are secure before each use.
• Replace any worn or damaged parts with components from Lone Wolf.
• All bolts for this product are Grade 8.
POLYURETHANE TRACTION BELT
APPLICABLE TO: Alpha™ Sit & Climb and Alpha™ Hand Climber
1.) With a permanent marker write date of 1st use on each belt.
2.) Inspect belt before each use
3.) Replace every 5 years or when you observe any of the following:
a.) belt has external cracks or tears visible
b.) any internal cables are broken
c.) any teeth are offset from normal pitch or are torn or cut

Shown is the proper use of the traction
belt for the Lone Wolf Climbers (dia 1). The
polyurethane belts are designed to be used
on the Lone Wolf products only. Always use
your traction in the position that it is shown in
dia 1. Never use the belt in this position (dia. 2).
Use in this position can cause damage to the
traction belt. WARNING: Point of arrow marks
the end of the belt (dia. 2a). No part of the
arrow should be showing after the cams are
engaged (dia. 1a). Any failure to follow the
instructions may cause belt to disengage
and cam to open.

Step 1: Place harness over your
shoulders.
Step 2: Take your waist belt threading it
through the buckle making sure that it is
snug against your waist.
Step 3: Take your leg strap from the front to the back making sure to make adjustments so that the buckle is even with your waist belt. You will then take your hook
underneath your waist belt bringing it down securely against the waist strap.

Step 4: Repeat the same process on the other side adjusting the tension making
sure the hook is even with your waist belt coming up underneath and hooking down
on your waist belt. This should allow your tether to be clear and free in the back.

Step 1: Place rope tether’s large loop
under the waist belt as shown.
Step 2: Thread the remainder of the
rope and carabineer through the large
loop and pull tight.
Step 3: Wrap the rope and carabineer around the tree.
Step 4: Hook the carabineer through the waist belt sliding
the Prusik knot for adjusting the length of the rope.

There is a large and small loop on the rope assembly. Always make sure that the
small loop is always attached to the carabineer.
Step 1: Wrap the rope around the tree and then thread the carabineer and the Prusik
knot through the large loop making sure you go through the large loop two times.

Step 2: Pull the rope assembly tight
against the tree as shown.
Step 3: Slide the Prusik knot up against
the tree tightly.
Step 4: Attach the tether from the
harness onto the carabineer.

Step 1: Place the Climbing Stick v-bracket against the center of the tree. Wrap the
belt around the tree and then place the open loop over the versa button. You then
pull the belt tight.
Step 2: While holding the top 2 steps
with both hands, pull down until the
climbing stick is firmly attached to the
tree.
Step 3: Slide the rope assembly up the
tree before you proceed to install your
next stick.
Step 4: Continue this process until you are at your desired hunting height.

against the tree. With the buckle in hand, wrap the belt around the tree and place

Step 2: Lift the platform up and pull the belt tight again to take up any additional
slack in the belt. Pushing down on the rear of the seat at this time will help to ensure
a solid set.
Step 3: Lower the platform. Your additional strap can be added at this time.

SYSTEM 2: EZ Hang Hook continued
(NOT to be used with Offset Bracket)
Step 3: Wrap the main belt around the
tree. Place the sewn loop over the top
versa button and pull tight. You must use
the belt on the top versa button when
using the easy hang hook. Center the
platform against the tree and lower the
platform.
Step 2: Hang the stand onto the hook.
Please NOTE: make sure to visually
check that the hook is in the receiver.
Step 4: Hold the seat and tree with
your hands while stepping downward
into the center of the platform. PLEASE
NOTE: Your treestand should always be
positioned so that you are always stepping
downward from your climbing sticks into
the center of your platform.

SYSTEM 3: Platform Leveler
Shown is the platform leveling device. In
order to level your platform, loosen both
knobs. Next, place the bar in the selected
slot for a level platform. Once that position
is selected, re-tighten the knobs.
SYSTEM 3: Seat Leveler
The seat leveler can be adjusted by
slightly screwing the leveling bolt in or
out for your desired position.

Step 7: Thread the strap through the
metal D-rings and pull tight.
Step 8: Repeat this for the opposite
leg, again, coming from the back to the
front threading through the D-ring loops
pulling tightly.

Now you are ready to apply the tree strap.
Step 2: Take the end of the strap and
thread it through the cinch buckle going

tree with the platform in an upright position. Center the offset bracket against
the tree.
Step 2: With the buckle in hand, wrap
the belt around the tree and place the
belt loop over the versa button and pull
the belt tight.

Step 3: Push down on the front of the
platform. Wedge the platform tightly
against the tree.
Step 4: To level the platform, turn the
leveling bolt at the base of the Assassin™
post to adjust the platform angle.
Step 5: Now that you are on your platform
at your desired height, the tree strap should
be placed in a position somewhere between

per section in the appropriate marked
holes. Run the clevis pins from the
inside of the ladder rail to the outside.
Lock the clevis pins in place.

been pulled apart and secured in place
with the clevis pins, remove the strap
from the feet levelers and secure the
clevis pins back in place.
Step 9: Next, you will install the platform support bars. Lift the rear of the
platform up to a level position.

This will allow you to properly install the
back pack straps to the Alpha™ platform.
If you will NOTE there are four smooth
ribs on the casting of the Alpha™ hang
on. This is where you will attach the
back pack straps.
Step 1: Take your back pack straps
and find the fist smooth rib.
Step 2: Go over the top of the bar and
keep the stitching face up.

Padded Straps
The third application is our accessory padded back pack straps.
Step 1: Find the smooth rib on the
casting.
Step 2: Go under the rib and through
the three bar buckle and through the
other side.
Step 3: On the bottom, place over the bar, back up to the buckle and through the
lower bar of the buckle. Then, go through the top bar of the buckle and cinch tightly.

( Attaching the Climbing Sticks to the Alpha™ Hang On)
Step 1: To start with, you have two
versa buttons with straps. Start with the
lower strap and actually run it around the
base of the stand two times. Run your
loop back over the versa button. Lower
your stand and cinch it tightly.
Step 2: NOTE: There are two foot pads
molded into the platform. Make sure
these foot pads are clear from the
straps. We’re going to attach the
v-bracket from the sticks there at
a later time.
Step 3: Take the Lone Wolf Climbing
Stick (keep in mind that on every set of
sticks you will see some webbing with a
buckle- always make sure this stick is on
the bottom of your stack).
Step 4: Take the gray webbing and
wrap it around the base of the stick.

Step 5: Run the loop back up to the
versa button and cinch it tightly. This will
keep everything neat and compact.
Step 6: Take the remaining two sticks
(NOTE- the hole on the back of every
stick- the hole will line up with the allen
head found on the versa button).
Step 7: Line the allen head up with that
hole. You should get a nice, snug fit.
Step 8: Then, take the black webbing
on the bottom stick and wrap it around
the other two sticks, buckle it, and cinch
it tightly.

Step 9: Then place the top v-bracket in the two impressions on the seat pad. The
two foot pads that were mentioned earlier will accommodate the bottom v-bracket.
With slight pressure, the two v-brackets should stay in place.
Step 10: Take your second versa button
and figure eight it around the stand down Step 11: Loop the loop over the adjustment knob and cinch tightly.
