Nach dem Abitur habe ich mit 19 Jahren auf einem französischen Katamaran angeheuert, den Atlantik überquert und als Matrose auf den karibischen Inseln gearbeitet. In den USA gestrandet bin ich nur, weil ich mir in den Kopf gesetzt hatte, ein Pferd im wilden Westen zu reiten. Ein halbes Jahr später hatte ich 700 Kälber kastriert, in Planwägen geschlafen, am Lagerfeuer meine Bohnen gegessen, Cattle Drives und Rodeos geritten. Endlich hatte ich mein eigenes Quarter Horse unterm Arsch und ritt mit meinem Lasso am Sattel und meiner Knarre am Gürtel durch Oklahoma und Texas. Meine Reise endete in L.A., ich wollte unbedingt Hollywood sehen. Schnurstracks marschierte ich direkt in die Universal Studios und stand an irgendeinem Set, wo gerade Richard Thomas, der berühmte „JOHN-BOY“ aus den WALTONS mit seinem Muttermal auf der linken Wange vor der Kamera stand. Toll, dachte, hier sind die also alle! Und? Wie soll es auch anders sein? Seitdem stecke ich im Film fest.... Ein paar Jahre später habe ich mit meinem Regiestudium an der Deutschen Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin begonnen – und beende dieses mit meinem ersten Langspielfilm GLUTNESTER. Geboren am 11.11.1975 in Berlin Biography I am a Berliner, born and raised in Kreuzberg. After graduating from school at the age of nineteen, I signed on a French catamaran, crossed the Atlantic and worked as a sailor in the Caribbean. I finally landed in the USA because I got hooked on the idea to ride a horse in the wild west. Half a year later, I had castrated 700 calves, spent my nights in wagons, eaten my beans at a campfire and performed cattle drives and rodeos. Finally, I had got my own quarter horse and crossed Oklahoma and Texas with my lasso and my colt on my belt. My journey ended in L.A. I badly wanted to see Hollywood. I went straight up to Universal Studios and suddenly found myself standing next to Richard Thomas, the famous „JOHN-BOY“ from the WALTONS, with his birthmark on his left cheek. And? How could it be any different? Ever since then, I remained in the film industry.... A few years later I started my directing course at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin – I'm currently completing my thesis film, a feature film of 90 minutes called GLUTNESTER / EMBER GLOW. Born on the 11.11.1975 in Berlin.
