Schweizer Einzelhändler gestaltet neuen Großmarkt mit farbigem Aluminium
Neunkirchen/Hannover, 21. Oktober 2014. SCHÄFER Lochbleche hat rund 3700 Laufmeter
Aluminiumbleche für die Fassade des neuen Migros-Großmarktes „Porte de Nyon“ in der
westschweizerischen Stadt Nyon geliefert. Unter der Koordination der Firma Tecmetall.ch
lieferte SCHÄFER Lochbleche über 60 verschiedene Positionen Bleche mit vier verschiedenen
Lochbildern. Diese weisen unterschiedliche Lochweiten von 3 bis 15 Millimeter auf, um
verschiedene Transparenzeffekte zu ermöglichen. Die von SCHÄFER gelieferten Lochbleche
wurden anschließend vom Metallbauer Sottas SA konfektioniert und in verschiedenen
Farbtönen beschichtet. Die Farbtöne greifen die Corporate-Identity-Farben der Migros auf. Der
Entwurf der Architekten Glatz & Delachaux SA aus Nyon, die den Großmarkt mit über 8000
Quadratmeter Verkaufsfläche im Auftrag der Migros Schweiz Region Genf zusammen mit dem
Genfer Büro Tekhne planten, verleiht der Fassade somit eine weithin sichtbare Signalwirkung.
Die farbigen Fassadenkassetten aus transluzenten Lochblechelementen von SCHÄFER, die
teilweise hinterleuchtet sind, ermöglichen bei Tag und Nacht die entscheidenden
architektonischen Akzente.
Die kundenspezifische Lochung von Blechen unterschiedlichster Güten, ergänzt um einen
umfangreichen Anarbeitungsservice, ist eine der Kernkompetenzen von SCHÄFER Lochbleche. Eine
besondere Herausforderung bei der Herstellung der Bleche für den Migros-Markt „Porte de Nyon“ war
das spannungsarme Lochen von 3 Millimeter starken Aluminiumplatten Al 99,5 hh mit Längen bis zu
5900 Millimeter und mehr als 30.000 Löchern pro Quadratmeter.
Für Projekte mit kleineren Losgrößen bietet SCHÄFER Lochbleche seit September 2014 auch die
Lieferung von Lochblechformaten direkt ab Lager an. Über diese und andere Dienstleistungen
informiert der Siegerländer Hersteller auch auf der EUROBLECH in Hannover vom 21. bis 25. Oktober
(Halle 16, Stand A42).
Beim Bau der „Porte de Nyon“ investierte die Migros, das größte Einzelhandelsunternehmen der
Schweiz, insgesamt 52 Millionen Schweizer Franken. Um ein hohes Maß an Nachhaltigkeit und
Energieeffizienz zu erreichen, ist das Gebäude mit energiesparenden Beleuchtungs- und
Kühlinstallationen versehen und wird geothermisch beheizt. Die Aluminiumfassaden und Fenster sind
wärmeisoliert und stützen damit das Niedrigenergiekonzept des Gebäudes. Die langlebigen
Aluminiumbleche der Fassade leisten ihrerseits einen Beitrag zu langjähriger, wartungsfreier
Werthaltigkeit.

Swiss retailer designs new shopping centre in coloured aluminium
Neunkirchen/Hanover, 21st October 2014. SCHÄFER Perforated Metal has supplied around 3700
metres of aluminium sheets for the facade of the new Migros “Porte de Nyon“ shopping centre
in the town of Nyon in Western Switzerland. For this project, coordinated by Tecmetall.ch,
SCHÄFER Perforated Metal delivered over 60 different sheet types in 4 different perforation
patterns, with holes ranging from 3 to 15 mm to create various effects of transparency. The
sheets supplied by SCHÄFER were then processed by the metalworking company Sottas SA
and coated in a range of colour tones, reflecting Migros’ corporate identity and providing a
widely visible signal effect. This design was created by the Nyon architects Glatz & Delachaux
SA, who were commissioned by Migros Schweiz Region Genf to plan the centre with its 8,000
m² of shop space together with the architects from Tekhne Büro in Geneva. The coloured
facade cassettes made of translucent perforated sheet elements from SCHÄFER, some with
backlighting, provide the decisive architectural features both by day and at night.
The customised perforation of sheets of a great variety of grades, complemented by a comprehensive
machining service, is a core competence at SCHÄFER Perforated Metal. A particular challenge in
manufacturing the sheets for the Migros “Porte de Nyon” market was the low-tension perforation of 3
mm Al 99.5 hh aluminium sheets of up to 5900 mm in length and with over 30,000 perforations per
square metre.
Since September 2014, SCHÄFER has also been offering delivery of perforated sheet formats straight
from stock for projects with smaller lot sizes. The Siegerland manufacturer will be providing

Migros, Switzerland’s largest retailer, invested a total of 52 million Swiss Francs in the construction of
“Porte de Nyon“. To ensure a high level of sustainability and energy efficiency, the building is fitted
with energy-saving lighting and cooling systems and is heated by geothermal energy. The aluminium
facades and windows are heat-insulated, supporting the building’s overall low-energy concept. The
long-lasting aluminium sheets making up the facade also contribute significantly to maintaining the
property’s value in the long-term, with no maintenance requirement.

service range, now offering perforated sheets in thicknesses of 0.75 to 3.0 millimetres with
round and square holes straight from stock. Orders placed before 2 p.m. will be shipped on the
same day. This service is aimed at industrial customers in sound protection, shop fitting,
climate control and ventilation and will also enable customers with a low order volume to
benefit from the grade range and sophisticated logistics that SCHÄFER has perfected in

EMW Stahl-Service-Center nimmt Rondenstanze in Betrieb
Neunkirchen/Hannover, 21. Oktober 2014. Das Stahl-Service-Center EMW erweitert sein
Leistungsspektrum und bietet ab sofort auch Ronden an. Mit einer neuen ServoRondenstanzanlage fertigt das Stahl-Service-Center die runden Werkstücke aus allen gängigen
Blechsorten. Die Rondenstanzanlage der EMW kann Bleche mit einer Stärke von 0,75 bis 4
Millimeter stanzen. Im Angebot sind Ronden mit Durchmessern bis 730 Millimeter. Gelocht wird
direkt vom Coil, es ist also kein Vorspalten erforderlich. Das bei EMW praktizierte mechanische
Stanzen mit einer Presskraft von 250 Tonnen ist dem Laserstanzen in Sachen Geschwindigkeit
und Wirtschaftlichkeit überlegen, da Laseranlagen sehr viel länger bräuchten, um dieselbe Zahl
an Ronden auszuschneiden.
Verpackt und versendet werden die Ronden in individuellen Formaten und Losgrößen, ganz nach
Kundenwunsch. Die kreisrunden Scheiben aus Stahl, Edelstahl oder Aluminium kommen bei der
Fertigung unterschiedlichster Produkte zum Einsatz, etwa für Radkappen, Satellitenantennen,
Bierfässer, Gehäuse für Bremskraftverstärker, Bratpfannen oder Verkehrsschilder.
Voraussetzung für hochwertige Endprodukte sind Ronden, die höchsten Ansprüchen an Planheit,
Material- und Oberflächenqualität genügen. Dies ist bei dem Fertigungsverfahren der EMW
gewährleistet, weil das Material durch den Wegfall des Vorspaltens nicht unnötig strapaziert wird.

EMW Steel Service Centre puts circular blanking line into operation
Neunkirchen/Hanover, 21st October 2014. The EMW Steel Service Centre is extending its
product range and will also be supplying circular blanks as of now. With its new Servo circle
blanking line, the Steel Service centre can manufacture these blanks from all usual metal types
in thicknesses of 0.75 to 4 millimetres. The range will cover blanks in diameters of up to 730
mm, cut straight from the coil, thus eliminating the need for pre-slitting. The mechanical
punching practiced at EMW with a pressing force of 250 tons is superior to laser punching in
terms of speed and economic efficiency, because laser lines take so much longer to cut out the
same number of blanks.
The circular blanks are packaged and shipped in individual formats and lot sizes, depending on the
customers’ individual requirements. These discs of steel, stainless steel or aluminium are used for
manufacturing an enormous variety of products, ranging from hub caps, satellite discs and beer
barrels to power-brake housings, frying pans and traffic signs.
The pre-condition for high-quality end products is, of course, perfectly smooth blanks that meet the
highest demands of material and surface quality. This is guaranteed at EMW thanks to the
manufacturing process, in which the omission of pre-slitting reduces unnecessary stress on the
material. In addition, EMW’s staggered, multiple-row perforation improves cutting efficiency and leads
to a very favourable price/performance ratio, as well as to environmentally friendly and sustainable
production.
