An exciting young cast stars in Franco Zeffirelli’s production of “La Bohème”, featuring
a cast of hundreds, an onstage snow scene, and a detailed reconstruction of the Latin
Quarter in Paris. Vittorio Grigolo stars as the poet Rodolfo, and Kristine Opolais as his lover,
Mimì. Susanna Phillips sings the flirtatious Musetta and Massimo Cavalletti is the painter
Marcello in this performance, led by Stefano Ranzani.

Tanz und Bewegung ausgedrückt. Die Herausforderungen,
mit denen sich die junge Königin konfrontiert sieht, sind

“Being Kristina” is a visual dance explosion with classical ingredients and a modern touch
about the Young Swedish Queen Kristina. Emotions, misdeeds, love and success, all scenes
are expressed in dance, filmed at the original locations. The choreographies, lead by renowned Hans Marklund, combine classical pointe shoes with flat sneakers in an entrancing

Unter dem Dirigat von Maestro Gatti wurde „Le Concert de Paris“ am Tag der
Bastille, dem französischen Nationalfeiertag, am Fuße des Eiffelturms veranstaltet. Das Französische Nationalorchester, der Radio France Chor und die
Crème de la Crème der weltweit renommiertesten Solistinnen und Solisten –
wie Sonya Yoncheva, Lang Lang, Bryn Terfel, Ray Chen und Joyce DiDonato
– widmen ihre Kunst dem Thema „Willkommen in Paris“. Auf dem Programm
stehen entsprechend ausgewählte Stücke von Gershwin bis Puccini, von Verdi
bis Bernstein oder Morricone. Abschließender Höhepunkt ist die gemeinsam
gesungene Marseillaise.
“Le Concert de Paris” is an exceptional event held each year on Bastille Day at the foot of
the Eiffel Tower, as a prelude to the July 14th fireworks display. The Orchestre National and
the Radio France Chorus, conducted by Daniele Gatti, present a top-quality programme
around the theme of “Welcome to Paris”, from Gershwin to Puccini, from Verdi to Bernstein
or Morricone. It brings together some of the world’s greatest soloists, including Sonya
Yoncheva, Lang Lang, Bryn Terfel, Ray Chen, and Joyce DiDonato. The concert finishes
with the Marseillaise sung by the choir, the soloists, and the public.

April 2013 tourte Carla Bruni rund um den Globus.
Beim Konzert in der legendären französischen
Konzerthalle L’Olympia präsentiert die Musikerin ihr
bekanntes Repertoire, bringt aber auch einige
Überraschungen. Die Qualität der Aufnahmen ist
makellos und steht der Intimität ihres Auftritts nicht
im Wege. Bekannt für Ihre Fähigkeit mit dem
Publikum zu kommunizieren, braucht sie kein
oberflächliches Bühnengeplänkel: sie lässt ihre
Songs sprechen.
In 2013, “Little French Songs” marked the return of Carla Bruni to her vocation as a singer
and songwriter. Recorded during that album’s tour at the famous french music hall L’Olympia,
this show is an excellent 19-song document that covers most of her recording career and
contains a couple of true surprises. The recording quality is pristine yet doesn’t get in the way
of her intimate performance. Bruni’s ability to communicate with audiences is legendary, and
she doesn’t need a lot of stage banter in order to do so; the songs do the talking.

„Genesis“ ist ein originäres Projekt, erdacht und geleitet vom schwedischen
Starklarinettisten Martin Fröst und entstanden als Teil der Zusammenarbeit mit
dem Königlichen Philharmonischen Orchester Stockholm. Fröst tritt als Dirigent
sowie als Solist auf und schöpft sein Programm aus einem Jahrtausend
Musikgeschichte. Mit Kompositionen von Hildegard von Bingen, Telemann,
Brahms, Messiaen, Lutosławski und Hillborg erforscht er die Quellen und die
Entwicklung von klassischer Musik – und sucht damit zugleich nach innovativen Wegen, klassische Musik zu präsentieren.
“Genesis” is a strikingly original project conceived and led by Martin Fröst as part of the
Swedish clarinettist’s collaboration with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Fröst
will conduct the orchestra and perform as soloist in a seamless programme of works freely
drawn from a millennium of music history, embracing everything from music by Hildegard
of Bingen and Telemann to compositions by Brahms, Messiaen, Lutosławski and Hillborg.
Fröst explores the source and development of classical music by featuring major traditional
repertoire, also looking at new ways of presenting classical music.

traveling salesman Doctor Dulcamara. Conductor Maurizio Benini leads the performance,

The New York Times describes Gregory Porter as a powerful baritone who writes his own
songs. His music comes from a 70s or early 80s-oriented place in the African-American
jazz tradition and is strong and sometimes experimental yet serenely unacademic. In this
concert live at Baloise Session, Grammy Award winner Gregory Porter or the vocal heir to

zugunsten seines Projekts „Sinfonía por el Perú“ in einer glanzvollen BenefizGala in der Wiener Staatsoper auf. Unterstützt werden benachteiligte Kinder
in Peru mit Musikprojekten als Mittel für Entwicklung und soziale Integration.
Es sangen Luca Pisaroni, Ildar Abdrazakov, Valentina Nafornita, Aida Garifullina
und Vittorio Grigolo, begleitet vom Harmonia Symphony Orchestra, geleitet
von Andriy Yurkevych. Das Ensemble – junge Musiker aus Peru, Kolumbien,
der Türkei und Südafrika – spielte zusammen mit Musikern der Wiener Philharmoniker.
Juan Diego Flórez joins some of his most renowned colleagues to raise awareness and
funds for his charity “Sinfonia por el Perú”, which helps children in need in Perú through
music, in a wonderful Gala at the Wiener Staatsoper, featuring singers Vittorio Grigolo,
Valentina Nafornita, Luca Pisaroni, Ildar Abdrazakov and many others. Harmonia Symphony
Orchestra, created with young musicians coming from Peru, Colombia,Turkey, South Africa
and other countries joins the musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic, conducted by Andriy

After the two famous Mahler festivals in 1920 and 1995, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam is now presenting a special two-season Mahler series, which includes ten
large-scale symphonies plus “Das Lied von der Erde”, performed in chronological order by
the world’s greatest orchestra under the direction of none other than Pierre Boulez — all
brought to life in the wonderful acoustics of the Main Hall of the Concertgebouw. The Vienna

There are pianists who also conduct and concertmasters who lead their orchestra from the
violin chair. But a star soprano who coordinates a large instrumental ensemble while at the
same time negotiating the trickiest coloratura singing is something entirely new. That is,
until Barbara Hannigan came along to reval this remarkable skill. “It’s like walking on virgin
snow,” says the Canadian “artiste étoile” who teamed up at Lucerne Festival with the

Die Gründung der Berliner Philharmoniker am 1. Mai 1882 wird alljährlich in
einer kulturell signifikanten europäischen Stadt gefeiert. 2015 fand das EUROPAKONZERT zum zweiten Mal nach 2004 in Athen statt. Dieses Jahr begleitet
Leonidas Kavakos die Berliner Philharmoniker für Sibelius Violinkonzert und
Bachs Largo aus der Sonate Nr. 3 . Das Konzert war ein Riesenerfolg und ließ
die anwesenden Athener durchwegs staunen. Im Jahr 2013 gewann Leonidas
Kavakos den ECHO Klassik Award für die Kategorie „Instrumentalist of the
Year“.

“Romeo and Juliet” becomes “Juliet and Romeo” when world-renowned choreographer
Mats Ek presents his full-length work to Tchaikovsky’s music, with its first performance of
the Royal Swedish Ballet at the Royal Opera House. “It’s time to turn things around”, says
Ek. One of Shakespeare’s originals was in fact named “Juliet and Romeo”, so this is a
return to the story’s source. And to use the music of Tchaikovsky, and not Prokofiev’s, is
also a signal. But the drama’s bearing conflict with the young unprotected love versus the
established violence, is still there — a tragedy in which love triumphs by going under.

then it is not only because of his more than 800 records and CDs, but also because of the
many hours of video recordings which he produced over the course of many years, many
of them with Unitel. His “Carmen” is based on his 1966 production for the Salzburg Festival
with Grace Bumbry — one of the greatest interpreters of the title role in our time — Jon

career and contains a couple of true surprises. The recording quality is pristine yet doesn’t
get in the way of her intimate performance. Bruni’s ability to communicate with audiences
is legendary, and she doesn’t need a lot of stage banter in order to do so; the songs do the
talking.
