and pitch stability even with heavy duty playing
• less air-loss due to fine-cut reedplates – absolute flatness and extremely small tolerances
between reed and reedplate
• full and loud, overtone-rich sound and extremely fast tone-response
• Coverplates with rounded edges without any cuts at the mouthpiece.
• Covers made of extra strong chrome plated sheet (0.4mm), opened wide at the back and crimped –
the overtone-rich sound can spread out undamped – rounded edges and good stability

Die Solist Pro 12 ist klein genug um von den Händen des Spielers
umschlossen zu werden. Trotz der zwei Kanäle mehr kann man

The Solist Pro 12 is small enough to fit into the player's

CONCERTO
Diatonische Mundharmonikas in Octav-Stimmung haben einen geteilten Kanzellenkörper aus Kunststoff
Beim Ziehen oder Blasen werden jeweils 2 Tonzungen zum Schwingen gebracht, die im Abstand
von einer Oktave gestimmt sind. Um den Luftverbrauch herabzusetzen und die Lautstärke zu
vergrößern sind zusätzlich Ventile eingebaut.
Als Ergebnis erhält man einen vollen, sehr kräftigen Klang.
Als typisches Akkord-Instrument ist diese Mundharmonika zusätzlich in drei
verschiedenen Wenderausführungen zu haben, mit denen eine breite
Palette von Akkordstrukturen zu erreichen ist.

Die Fanfare ist eine professionelle Tremolo Mundharmonika, die auf Luftdichtigkeit optimiert wurde und
die sich daher mit für Tremolo Mundharmonikas ungewöhnlicher Klangfülle und Leichtigkeit spielen lässt.
Im Gegensatz zu anderen Tremolo-Modellen kommt der Spieler ohne großen Spieldruck und Luftverbrauch

easy and with the sonority that is unusual for a Tremolo harmonica. In contrast to other Tremolo-models
the player can play really soft and without much air – embouchure is just like that on a chromatic harmonica.
Those who know our harmonicas will see a Chromatic DeLux as the basis of the Fanfare - the Fanfare is a
professional harmonica, that is especially suited to be loud enough when playing together with other instruments!
As an option one can apply a megaphone (not included), that
not only looks nice, but enhances also volume and allows
special effects (dampening, hand-vibrato, wah-wah).

Diatonische Mundharmonikas mit Tremolostimmung sind mit einem geteilten Kanzellenkörper versehen.
Mittelsteg bildet dabei den Kanzellenboden für die obere und mittlere Kanzelle. Auf diese Weise
werden 2 Stimmzungen zur gleiche Zeit angespielt, wobei eine dieser Stimmzungen im
Verhältnis zum Grundton etwas höher gestimmt ist. Dadurch entsteht ein heller, voll
klingender Ton – das Tremolo. Diese Mundharmonikas sind als Akkordinstrumente

divided comb. This makes it possible to blow

one reed is tuned a little bit higher than the
corresponding note in the upper channel.
This causes a bright and smooth sounding tone –

Das tonale Konzept dieser Mundharmonika ist bei Seydel bereits 1920 eingebaut worden und ist diatonisch.
Das heißt wir haben beim Blasen G und beim Ziehen D, also die Dominante.
Lange haben wir darüber nachgedacht in welche Kategorie wir dieses Modell überhaupt
einordnen sollen. Denn eigentlich ist das hier weder eine Oktav Mundharmonika,
noch eine Tremolo, obwohl die Stimmzungenanordnung so ist.
Das Instrument ist nämlich in Intervallen gestimmt.

The note concept has been built by Seydel since 1920.
On blow you have a G and on draw you get a D-chord, the Dominant.
We needed a long time to decide, whether this is an Octave (it's not because it's not tuned in octaves)
or it's a Tremolo harmonica (it's not because we don't have the same note in the same channel).
However, it’s more a Tremolo, because the intervals are tuned a little apart, so that we have the typical sound.
The instrument can be played intuitively and does very beautiful chord variations.

C.A.Seydel Söhne baut dauerhafte und werthaltige Instrumente von hohem Gebrauchswert.
Trotzdem wird durch normale Materialermüdung eine der Stimmzungen irgendwann in der Funktion
nachlassen. Mit dem Seydel 3Track Service System gibt es außerhalb der Gewährleistungspflichten mehrere
einfache Lösungsmöglichkeiten:
Track 1 — Für den Einsteiger:
Kaufe eine Mundharmonika und wirf sie weg, wenn sie defekt sein sollte.
Track 2 — Für den Semiprofi:
Kaufe eine Seydel Mundharmonika und tausche die kompletten Stimmplatten, wenn sie defekt sein sollten.
Track 3 — Für den Profi:
Kaufe eine Seydel Mundharmonika. Wenn sie nach längerem Gebrauch defekt sein sollte, kaufe einen Satz
Stimmzungen. Lerne, wie man eine Stimmzunge austauscht, wie man eine Mundharmonika stimmt und wie man
sie wartet. Nach einer gewissen Zeit wirst Du die Funktionen des Instrumentes und dessen Reaktionen kennen.
Die Veränderungen in der Einstellung passend zu Deinem persönlichen Stil werden Dich zu einem besseren
Spieler machen. C.A.Seydel Söhne stellt das Know How, die benötigten Ersatzteile und Werkzeuge zur Verfügung.
MAINTENANCE
At Seydel we make exceptionally reliable and valuable instruments.
Because our harmonicas are too good to throw away if a fault appears it will be worthwhile to consider
maintaining and repairing them. With the Seydel 3Track Service System we offer 3 different ways to achieve this:
Track 1 — For beginners:
Purchase a harmonica. If it becomes faulty after a long period of playing (which is normal), you buy a new one.
Track 2 — For the more experienced:
You buy a harmonica. If it becomes faulty after a longer period of playing you buy a new set of reedplates and
exchange it
Track 3 — For the expert:
You buy a harmonica. If it becomes faulty after a longer period of playing you buy a new set of SINGLE REEDS.
You learn how to exchange the broken reed and how to tune and maintain your harmonica. After a while you will
understand the function and reactions of the instrument to your personal playing style and changing the adjustments will improve your playing. C.A.Seydel Söhne provides the knowledge, tools and replacement parts.
