COMPETENCE
In 2005 we started to import the first flatbed printing systems making us one of the pioneers of digital
direct printing. Our new company premises in Renchen allowed us to build on our existing specialisation
in this innovative field. Today we are considered THE specialist for digital printing and digital direct
printing in Europe.
We have sold more than 1,000 direct printing systems over the past ten years and differ from a lot of our
competitors – even those with a group structure – by offering our customers more than just the resale of
direct printers.
Our sales team is made up of specialists with many years of experience in pre-press, screen, pad and
offset printing – they are there to advise, inform and support you both during and after sale. Together with
our experts for colour and quality management as well as professionals trained in mechanical and electrical
engineering, mechatronics and data processing technology, we have put together a truly competent team

build a close long-term relationship with our valued customers. Consequently, we attach the utmost importance to the
high quality of our pre- and post-sale support.
During detailed consultation sessions we thoroughly discuss
the parameters of your application and its technical feasibility.
After extensive testing we present your individual printing
solution to you during a live demo in one of our showrooms.
In our demo area we have more than 20 printing systems permanently on show, including multiple identical printer models
equipped with different ink types. This means that even if
you’re only here for a couple of hours you can still experience
the complete range of digital direct printing solutions.
Our after sales service includes initial set-up of the machine,
technical training of your personnel in how to deal with the
new system as well as telephone support for any technical
questions. In addition, we can provide you with consumables,
spare parts and special equipment. For further details please
see chapter “Service & Support” from page 117.
Felix Müller, Technical Customer Service
DP Solutions GmbH & Co. KG
If and when your requirements change throughout the years,
we will be there to discuss potential areas of change and find
the best solution. From trade-in offers to printer exchanges
to the sourcing or creation of new inks and pre-treatments
as well as technical modifications on the printer itself – we
always find a solution.
WE RELY ON PRACTICAL
EXPERIENCE
We offer a great variety of different roll and flatbed
printers with printing widths between 330 and 2,500 mm
along with an extensive assortment of various special

AND PRINTING SYSTEM
INK TYPE
We are starting the chapter “Product Range“
in this catalogue looking at our specialty inks
instead of our direct printing systems (see from
page 39). Although this may not seem logical,
there is a very good reason for this - in digital
direct printing it is not the printer but rather the
inks that decide on the substrate’s printability.
The first step in our solution finding process is
always to consider the customer’s material and
their specific requirements in terms of the look
and feel of the print as well as the inks’ resilience
in certain environments (e.g. indoors, outdoors,
chemical strain etc.). Based on this information
the optimal ink type for the application can be
selected.
Not all of our inks can be unconditionally combined with any of the printing systems we offer.
Hence, the optimal ink type (as noted above),
along with the substrate’s measurements determine the choice of printer series or printer model.
Depending on the selected printing method
additional equipment might be needed, such
as a sealing tank for digital anodic printing
on aluminium or specialty pre-treatments to
improve adhesion of the inks on difficult
surfaces.
The combination of inks, printing system and
specialty equipment, if required, make for the
optimal direct printing solution for both your
product and individual application.
ADVANTAGE THROUGH SPECIALISATION
Many things have changed in digital direct printing over the past 10 years. You
could probably summarise the development through the phrase ”bigger and
better“. But not only technical and mechanical features of the printing systems
have evolved. The number of different specialty ink types has increased remarkably as well and allows you to process nearly any kind of material with the
utmost resilience today.
Ramon Willendorf, Sales Manager
DP Solutions GmbH & Co. KG
Digital direct printing was largely unknown in Germany back in 2005. However,
we quickly realised that this new digital printing method had great potential
which is why we worked so hard to establish this promising innovative area.
Today we are direct printing specialists supporting 1,500 active customers,
among others well-known German and international companies in industry, R&D
as well as in public services.
INVESTING IN ADVANCED
TECHNOLOGIES
In 2005 small-format flatbed printers were the first
of their kind in Europe. What started as a small
project with great potential soon became our
area of expertise.
Our staff members‘ wealth of experience and
know-how in various different areas is shared
and combined in order to be able to apply this
extensive knowledge base to our customers‘
respective projects. This expertise allows us to
continuously take digital direct printing to the
next level.
10 years ago, digital direct printing involved many
variables. New colours, many – from today’s point
of view - interesting mechanical approaches and a
completely new kind of processing. We were understandably looking at great technology but, as with
most new projects at the beginning, it needed
improvements. So, we rolled our sleeves up and got
to work.
Our success to date proves that the time was right
to expand the pilot project “direct printing” and
then relentlessly promote this innovative technology.
From experience we know that it is worth investing in
advanced technologies as do our many customers.
It’s a great pleasure to find so many companies operating across various different fields using our direct
printing solutions for their development and success.

DIRECT PRINTING KNOW-HOW
WHAT IS DIGITAL DIRECT PRINTING?
Digital direct printing is a non-contact inkjet printing method
which produces high resolution print images in photo realistic
quality and can be used for the processing of a variety of materials. The digital printing data is edited in a standard graphics
programme and sent by mouse click from the PC to the
printing system. Pre- or post-treatment of substrates is usually
not necessary.

Many companies attach great importance to green printing.
One of the most obvious reasons is the change in consumer
attitude because today’s buyer decision process is no longer
only influenced by the price but also by environmental aspects.
Manufacturers of digital printing systems have adapted their
machinery in many different ways in order to make the printing
process more environmentally friendly. The use of low-odour
eco inks, various kinds of refill systems, low ink mileage due
to the creation of efficient, highly accurate printheads as well
as the conversion from energy-wasting UV-lamps to UV-LEDs
are just some of the many measures printer producers have
adopted so far. Furthermore software companies also provide
various solutions to make digital printing greener (please find
more details from page 105).
One major advantage compared to classical printing
methods is that digital printing creates little to no waste.
For example, the printing data is created digitally. I.e. there
is no need for time-consuming and waste-creating production of screens or plates needed for screen or offset
printing processes. In addition, instead of using individual
colours for each print job and disposing of the left-overs,
the colours in digitally printed images are mixed using the
inks that remain in the printing system and are used until the
ink tanks are empty and need refilling. Also, digital printing
allows for need-based production, usually without spoilage.
quality images and logos with classical screen printing machines was only possible with a lot of effort.
Producing small batches was practically unaffordable.
The latest digital printing systems have made it possible to process even individual items most efficiently
and in high quality. From images as small as a stamp
to poster-sizes – there are no limits. Soon we realised that this high-technology printing method was
the ideal solution for the processing of our high-value
industrial cases and had potential to become our
USP. Consequently, we purchased two Mimaki digital
printing systems making Faisst one of the few producers of all-over digitally printed cases.

Digital direct printing is a highly professional yet easily learnt method to process a nearly unlimited number of different
materials and products. The following pages provide basic background information about this innovative printing technology in which we specialise.

DIREC T PRINTING KNOW- HOW
SIMPLY PROFESSIONAL PRINTING
Using a desktop printer has long been second nature: Just create a text or image file on a PC, insert
paper, enter print command and immediately the illustration on the screen is reproduced by the
printer. That is digital printing in its simplest form using a paper medium.
The operation of a digital direct printing system is just as easy. The print data is created in a standard graphics program, the print material is positioned on the flatbed table of the machine and the
printing process is started with a mouse click on the PC. A few additional technical details about the
handling of the device are provided during a brief training session on the day of installation. Apart
from that, no print-based knowledge is needed to start digital direct printing.
But don’t be fooled by the simple handling and relatively low cost of the equipment!
In the case of both small and large format digital direct printing systems and their software, highly
complex technical procedures have been made so user-friendly by the developers over the years
that most of the work is literally pre-programmed and runs silently in the background unnoticed by
the user. This allows even newcomers to produce prints of the highest quality right from the outset.

DIREC T PRINTING KNOW- HOW
DIRECT PRINTING COLOURS: THE BASICS
Digital printing is a comparatively easy-to-learn process. This part of the catalogue is to provide you
with basic information about direct printing inks and inkjet printheads. Should you have questions or
would like to learn more about digital printing and digital direct printing please contact us or visit our
blog www.insight-D.club.
CMYK – THE PRINTING COLOURS
The body colours CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black/Key) are used in printing. Instead of being
luminescent they reflect or absorb white light components. Unlike the light colours RGB (red, green
and blue) that are used to display images on monitors (e.g. PC, TV, digital camera) body colours are
not transparent but translucent. As the combination of Cyan, Magenta and Yellow does not create
a deep black, Key is added as the fourth colour. Printing data always must be created in the CMYKcolour space.
SPECIAL COLOURS IN DIRECT PRINTING
Special colours, such as RAL, Pantone or HKS-tones, are individually produced. While the printing
system usually creates the required colours during the printing process by blending the body colours
CMYK, special colours are used as individual tones. They are often used in packaging production or
for logo printing.
As a general rule, specialist colours can only be approximately reproduced in digital direct printing.
It might be necessary to create particular colour profiles for varying material or ink types which we will
gladly assist you with, if required. (Please find details about colour profiling on page 35.)
Brand new and unique: The close contact to our ink manufacturers allows us to offer custom-made direct printing
special colours according to your individual application.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE INKS
PRINTING ON TRANSPARENT & COLOURED SURFACES
Direct printing inks are translucent. As a result they are affected by the surface colour they are printed on and can therefore differ
from their original colour if the substrate is not pure white. In order to get accurate colours and optimal opacity on transparent
materials or coloured surfaces, the required white background is simulated using a white ink layer over or under the colour.
Digital UV direct printing allows this and thereby creates new opportunities, not only for the processing of promotional items but
also for industrial applications, such as plastic or metal processing. (Please find corresponding machinery from page 48.)

VARIABLE DROP SIZE
RELEVANT TOPICS
In the past inkjet printers, particularly older generation models, could only print
ink droplets of equal size. In order to create light colours, the distance between
the individual ink drops in the picture grid had to be enlarged, leaving tiny
uncovered gaps which made the colour tone in those areas seem lighter.
Un fortunately, this method caused visual impurities.
As of the mid-1990s, 6-colour printers using the additional inks Light-Cyan and
Light-Magenta enabled the printing of light coloured passages with high density
while also satisfying the required quality.
Since then, much has changed. Thanks to variable dot size technology it is now
possible to achieve outstanding print results in high-resolution photo quality,
even with 4-colour printers, due to the close arrangement of variably sized ink
droplets. Using this technology, high contour accuracy, smooth gradients and
quarter-tones as well as crisp colours in the mid tones and incredible density in
shadows and areas of solid colour are guaranteed.
PIEZO TECHNOLOGY
You can rely on excellent picture quality for your graphics, photos, art pieces,
drawings etc. when they are printed on a digital direct printing system. This
high image quality results from the use of Piezo inkjet printheads.
This particular printhead technology, developed by EPSON, uses ceramic piezo
elements firing ink from the printhead when voltage is applied. As this is a
mechanical process, you can precisely control the amount of ink fired.
At only 5 microseconds, the so-called impulse duration is extremely short.
One printhead nozzle (out of up to 3,600 nozzles in total – depending on the
printer model) can fire between 20,000 and 30,000 times per second. Hence,
the printhead controls several million processes per second when printing, for
example, a multi-coloured image.
Piezo inkjet printheads are able to create ink droplets of just a few picolitres
(1 pl = 1 trillionth of a litre). As a result, the dot size is so small that it is invisible
to the human eye from a normal distance. This ensures maximum precision
and smooth colour gradation. Furthermore, they are extremely durable. So
they are particularly suitable for the tough conditions found in the industrial
printing world.

DIREC T PRINTING KNOW- HOW
Variable Data printing (VDP)
Contrary to conventional printing methods, with digital printing you can print varying
data sets in real time without slowing down the printing process. As a result, digital
inkjet printing systems are ideal for proto-typing, processing individual items and
for serialisation, such as the production of multi-coloured type plates with a uniform
layout and consecutive numbers or varying product information. High flexibility and
efficiency are guaranteed with variable data printing, no matter if used in the gift and
merchandising sector or in industrial fields.
There are 3 ways to prepare individual information for the variable
data printing process:

360° PRINTING
The market has been waiting a long time for the opportunity to create all-over
prints on cylindrical products. The Japanese printer producer Mimaki reacted to
this gap in the market and introduced a rotary tool as an accessory item for their
UJF UV-flatbed printer series.
This handy rotary tool is easily and quickly connected to the printing system.
It allows processing cylindrical substrates with a diameter between 10 and 110 mm,
330 mm total length and 3 kg maximum weight.
The usual advantages of UV-LED flatbed direct printing apply to their full extent.
Please find details of corresponding printer models on pages 48/49.
Digital 360° printing, using the rotary tool developed by Mimaki, is ideal for producing prototypes, proof or approval samples, small series, sample series or trade
show editions, for example. It can be used for personalising and individualising
in the gift and merchandising sector as well as in the cosmetics, packaging and
medical industries.

Digital printing technologies guarantee flexible, easy and quick production of individual items. In the past, the advantages of using them
were mainly for processing gifts and merchandising items. Today, digital
printing is becoming more and more interesting for industrial companies
who require as continuous output in as little time as possible with the
least manual intervention.
Industrial requirements with this type of high workflow efficiency can currently be met in different ways. One method, for example, is workflow
optimisation by automated print data editing. So-called hotfolders
that, for instance, are part of ColorGATE’s Productionserver allow crossplatform editing and fully automated printing of print jobs according to
predefined settings. Automated workflows of almost unlimited complexity
can be created. The process can be modified at any time and the number
of active hotfolders, which can be added on, is unlimited.
At present we have ongoing projects relating to the automated substrate’s
placement on and removal from the printer’s flatbed table. Each production area has its own specific requirements which need to be evaluated
individually.
Please contact us, if you are interested in an automated printing solution.
We'll gladly tell you about the available options.

FLEXIBLE MEDIA AND THERMOFORMING
Processing rigid media has become a standard application, with the odd exception. On the
other hand flexible substrates such as touch pads, magnetic vinyl or thermoformable sheets,
are nearly always special applications that need to be processed using specific inks.
In this case the focus is primarily on the substrate’s deformability and tensibility. The print
shouldn‘t flake or lacerate. Nor should it extend or burst when the printed object is creased.
We offer multiple solutions for processing flexible media. You can send us your products for
a free and non-binding test or visit us at our premises in Renchen for an individual presentation of our extensive product range. We look forward to hearing from you!

ALL-OVER DECORATION AND LABELING
Aside from 360° printing of small-format cylindrical substrates, digital direct printing systems are
currently unfortunately not able to decorate or label all sides of a product in just one go. However,
demand for this application is noticeably increasing within industrial sectors, most notably in the
plastics industry.
Using a newly advanced thermal transfer method, we have now been able to close this gap in
the market. Instead of directly printing onto the substrate as usual, the image is printed onto a
specially coated transfer film using an inkjet printer equipped with thermally reactive inks. The film
is then put on the specially coated substrate and heated up to 140°C. Vacuum suction inside the
oven ensures that the film and the respective inks cover every part of the product.
This innovative digital transfer method is suitable for processing heat-resistant plastics of any
shape. Multiple standard applications, such as smartphone and tablet cases, are already digitally
processed as described above. Several industrial companies, including those in the automotive
sector, have discovered just how beneficial this digital decoration and labeling process can be.
Do you need to process a nearly unlimited variety of different plastic components? We will gladly
advise you about technical details and processing options. Just get in touch with us!

SURFACE ACTIVATION
As inks, unlike plastics, have very high surface energy the plastic’s surface must be activated in order to equalise the
two different energy levels. There are multiple ways to achieve this. With corona and plasma activation, for example,
the substrate’s surface energy is increased using high-voltage discharge. High-voltage discharge in the air or in vacuo
are currently the most advanced and successful surface activation methods available.

REACHING NEW MARKETS
Digital direct printing provides superior image quality
on an extensive variety of materials allowing users
to establish their businesses to a very high standard
within their market. But visual quality is not the only
element of importance.
In order to meet stringent industrial requirements,
reliable adhesion between the inks and the many
different substrates has to be ensured. So-called
adhesion agents can improve the inks’ bonding
properties. In order to achieve a positive effect with
these agents a basic requirement is good wettability
of the substrate’s surface, i.e. the substrate’s surface
energy must at least be equal to or exceed the inks’
energy level. For that to happen, the media’s surface
Industrial sectors set high benchmarks in relation to the durability and dependability of certain products or processes.
Plasma activation is nearly free of potential energy and therefore particularly suitable for processing complex moulded
profiles which cannot be pre-treated using the corona system. Plasma pre-treatment increases the surface energy and
thereby ensures extended ink adhesion on the media.

and processing solutions for our customers, such as

The low surface energy of plastics, including polyethylene and polypropylene, often has a negative impact on their
printability. A non-soluble connection between inks and the plastic surface can only be achieved if both components
have the same surface energy.

DIGITAL ANODIC PRINTING ON
ALUMINIUM
In 2009 digital direct printing using solvent-based Direct-One all-purposeinks on open-pored aluminium
revolutionised anodic printing. The comparatively low acquisition and maintenance costs as well as the small
consumption costs of digital direct printing systems, such as the Freejet or the Motionjet, make digital anodic
printing ideal for fast and cost-effective production of multi-colour, high resolution industrial, type and
promotional signs.
Anodic printing is a process of surface finishing for specially treated aluminium. The initially open-pored
anodized shield layer of the a
luminium plate is printed on directly and sealed in a hot-water-bath at about 97°C.
The temperature in this so-called sealing tank induces the voluminous extension of the plate’s surface and thus
the sealing of the open-pored layer. As a result of this process the embeddedprint is extremely resistant to
chemical, mechanical and thermal stress. Even graffiti can be removed without harming the print.

TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGES
IN ANODIC PRINTING
Anodic printing is a world-wide known processing
method for aluminium. Until just a few years ago,
single items and small batches were processed using
photo-realistic xerography. Large jobs were produced using anodic screen printing.
Today, multi-coloured anodic plates can be processed quickly, easily and cost-effectively due to
the technology changes in the printing industry and
especially to the digitalisation in this field.
The competitiveness of high-quality industrial and
commercial aluminium signs has improved remarkably thanks to digital printing which clearly shows
in the increased demand for scratch-, weather- and
solvent-resistant anodic plates.
Furthermore, the variable height adjustment of digital
direct printing systems does not only allow the processing of aluminium sheets but also enables
printing on casings etc.

FUNCTION. PERFECTION. AESTHETIC.
With no pre-treatment required and unrivalled in terms of both price and
quality across the market: using digital direct printing you can multi-colour
inscribe and label steel, aluminium and other metals in just one print run.
The printing data is created or processed using a standard graphicsprogramme or a RIP-software. With up to 14 m2/h single or multi-colour motifs
are printed on the metal’s surface. Despite the high print speed, you will definitely be impressed with the resulting clear contours and the vibrant colours
especially for filigree motifs, fine lines or the smallest type size. Within minutes
the water-based specialist inks are cured on the material at min. 120°C. This
process guarantees optimal resistance of the print against UV rays, weather
conditions, alcohol, oil and acetone. The printed items are suitable for use in
external and industrial internal areas.
We have been manufacturing customised signs, front
plates, meter scales and casings since 1949 and
currently employ 58 staff.
Our service range covers mechanics, electroplating,
finishing and labelling processes. Many materials, such
as steel and stainless steel, metals containing none or
less than 50% iron as well as plastics are processed
in three shifts. We offer different kinds of labelling:
engraving, laser engraving, screen printing and anodic printing. The next logical step for us was to adopt
digital direct printing, taking our screen and anodic
printing production up to another level.
The removal of individual costs as well as increased
performance resulting in reduced delivery periods –
especially relating to production of small batches or
multi-coloured products – were the main reason for
this fundamental decision.
We have chosen DP Solutions as our partner because
we believe they offer high-quality products and excellent service at competitive prices.

COLOUR MANAGEMENT
35
Colour management describes a standardised colour conversion process which ensures the conformity of image data
through both the input and output device. For example, colour management is used to synchronise specific inks with
varying materials or to ensure identical print results if several printers are used for the same production run. So-called ICC
profiles, that are embedded in the RIP software, cater for the colour accuracy in these cases.
The acronym ICC is short for Internation Colour Consortium. This organization has dedicated their work to the standardization of colour management and determines the guidelines for the creation of colour profiles. ICC colour profiles contain
information for the colour management programme included in the RIP software. This information allows conversion of the
colour values of the output device in order for them to match the input data.
In order to create an ICC profile, a reference element in form of a colour chart must be printed on the individual product.
Simply put, a colour measurement system, a so-called spectro photometer, reads the printed data and analyses it with
corresponding software. Based on this analysis a colour profile is generated. Multiple different colour profiles can be
included in the RIP software and selected by mouse click according to each individual production.
PROCESS CONTROL IN DIGITAL PRINTING
The linearisation and profiling of printing systems provide the basis for the
colour accuracy of your prints. But what about the colour accuracy of your
prints, for example, in the case of subsequent orders, a new product batch,
after repair work on the printing system or upon change of temperature or
humidity level?
To be on the safe side, you could linearise and profile once again but, unfortunately, this is both material- and time-consuming and thereby not realistic.
This is why Barbieri electronic, a well-known software developer and manufacturer of measurement systems, has created a process control method for
digital printing processes.
Process control means, that the print is compared to a predefined reference
(e.g. Fogra). Within seconds the process control device informs the user
about whether the printed colour values comply with the reference or not.
This very short process saves material, ink and especially time which makes
it an absolutely invaluable investment.
Stefan Barbieri, CEO
BARBIERI electronic snc/OHG
Colour management
in signage, flatbed and
industrial printing
These markets can encompass any kind of materials,
printing processes, requests and opportunities for
ever more brilliant and resistant colours or advanced
coatings for industrial surfaces. In addition to this, as
generally expected in the printing business, attractive,
almost true-colour pictures or prints should be possible.
The human eye can instantly recognize discrepancies.
The term “colour space” conjures up a totally new and
dynamic dimension.
Being able to print the same colours and the same
picture using digital image processing is a straightforward process on the computer if you happen to have
the right tools available. The key to success is the individual and exact measurement of the material, printer
and RIP configuration using a Spectro photometer.
This measurement technology must be able to continually and flexibly adjust to the requirements of visual
characteristics (types of lighting, measurement apertures, filters), automation and materials as well as to
intelligent and user friendly software technology.

WORKFLOW OPTIMISATION FOR SCREEN, FLEXO AND OFFSET PRINTING
The digital film is produced on demand in chemical-free daylight production on customary Epson inkjet printers with
original Epson inks. In addition to short response times and low production costs, digital film production removes the
need for acquisition and disposal of chemicals, the use of exposure units and the loss of time due to outsourcing.
As well as the above mentioned advantages, the use of original Epson inks allows processing of special applications, such
as digital film production, as well as standard jobs like fineart and photo prints.
THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:
ADVANTAGES:
1. Data editing
• Completely chemical-free
2.Loading and automatic processing of the print job
via a hotfolder
• Low consumption costs
3. Printing on special screen film using an Epson inkjet printer
• Short response times
4. Post-printing processing after a short drying period
• High flexibility
• Nearly immediate post-printing processing
The accuracy of the print results is based on the correct choice of printer model. Not every Epson printer creates
the same results on your films. We will gladly point out the optimal solution for your specific application and are
happy to provide you with sample prints upon request.
RELEVANT TOPICS
Digital printing can certainly not fully replace conventional printing methods. However, it can optimise them in specific
production areas. For example, digital film production with the leading ColorGATE RIP software, Filmgate, is the most
user-friendly in-house solution for screen, pad, flexo and offset printing businesses.

UNCONVENTIONAL APPLICATIONS
Digital printing is the future. Many of our customers have already recognised this and have since expanded their previous analogue
production with one or, in some cases, several different digital direct printing systems.
We can help you to decide whether digital direct printing could also be a worthwhile investment for you, using appropriate printing
tests. After prior consultation, simply send us your unprinted products including printing data and information about the required
look, feel and durability the print. The sampling or printing tests will be performed free of charge and without obligation.
Feel free to challenge us with unconventional applications, too! No request is too impossible or crazy for us to at least simulate
internally and test various potential approaches. Our ultimate goal is always to ensure that the customer doesn’t go away without
a solution.
We look forward to your inquiry!

Fits easily into any work environment
Suitable for the processing of gifts, merchandising
items and industrial products
Over the past 25 years we have evolved from a digital print
shop for business solutions focusing on technical documentation
into a graphic service centre. After purchasing our first Freejet
in 2009 we took our first steps into the gift and merchandising
market. Today we own 6 Freejets and 2 UV direct printers. At
times, e.g. during the Christmas season, our direct printing systems run 24/7 (3 shifts per day) for several weeks. All of our Freejets have proven to be very resilient and reliable. We are very
happy.
Easily refillable bulk ink tanks
High-resolution picture quality of up to 5,760 dpi
Easy to operate
Manual cleaning unit for cleaning individual ink lines

RELIABLE AND REASONABLY PRICED
In 2005 we introduced the first Freejet 290 digital flatbed
printer. Since then the models Freejet 320, Freejet 320+,
Freejet 330, Freejet 300HS, Freejet 500HS, the corresponding direct-to-garment models and lastly this summer the

in many different fields and is today used for processing
gifts, merchandising items and industrial products.
All Freejet models easily fit into even the smallest work
environments. They are easy to operate and create highresolution images on a great variety of substrates. Thanks
to the variable height adjustment of the printing table
which extends to 110 mm, even high or very thick items
can be directly printed on.
The Freejet is recognized as a reliable, reasonably priced
entry-level printer. Combined with our diverse ink assort- The Freejet’s refillable bulk ink tanks are located at the

they can be refilled without spilling. Together with the
clips on the ink lines leading into the printhead, the manual cleaning unit which is also attached to the bridge has
proven to be the ideal tool for cleaning individual ink lines.
In order to be able to deliver multiple Freejets immediately
to our European resellers, we permanently stock about

Up to 150 mm height adjustment
We specialise in sign making, large format and textile printing.
In October 2013 we extended our machine park of digital roll
printers and cutting plotters with a Mimaki UJF-6042 UV-LED
flatbed printer. In July 2014 we added the UJF rotary tool for
cylindrical items. Our decision was based on the variety of

DP-UV SERIES
With 300 mm variable height adjustment our special DP-UV printer series is way ahead
of the conventional UV-LED flatbed printers. Innovative UV-LED technology can now
finally be used for processing media that is higher than 150 mm.
The integrated ionisation unit neutralises static charges which sometimes occur on the
media’s surface. This charge balancing prevents the risk of cloud formation around the
motif and instead guarantees accurate and sharp contours. Once set up, the ionisation unit automatically adjusts to the charge strength of every print run.
DP-UV printer models can be equipped with different UV ink types and thereby allow
processing of rigid and flexible substrates. LF-140 inks are up to 140% stretchable and
can therefore be printed on all kinds of flexible materials such as key pads or thermoformable plastic sheets.
The integrated white-circulation-system prevents the settling of white pigments in
the ink lines. This avoids time-consuming and cost-intensive cleaning procedures and
production failures.
Both the LH-100 inks for rigid media and the LF-140 inks for flexible substrates are
available in 220 ml cartridges or in 600 ml eco cases with refill bags. Using eco cases
saves 35 % ink costs compared to standard cartridges.

SURFACE TREATMENT
Corona treatment optimises the wettability
of polymers. Their low surface energy has
negative impact on the adhesion of inks,
glue and other coatings on the substrate’s
surface which, by nature, have very high
surface energy. In order to ensure optimal
wettability, the substrate’s energy level
must be activated by applying high-voltage
discharge in order for it to be equal or
exceed the inks’ energy.
We offer corona surface treatment systems
individually adapted to your direct printing
solution.
Plasma
Surface activation with plasma treatment
improves the wettability of electrically conductive and non-conductive substrates and
ensures improved adhesion of inks and
other coatings. Plasma activation is almost
free of potential energy and therefore particularly suitable for processing complex
moulded profiles which cannot be pretreated using the corona system. Plasma
pre-treatment increases the surface energy
and thereby ensures extended ink adhesion
on the media.
FLAME TREATMENT
Flame treatment activates the surface energy of glass and plastics and therefore
improves the adhesion of liquids on the
media’s surface. A gas flame, in our case a
fuel gas blend with silane additive components, is used to increase the substrate’s
energy level. Used on metals the ultra-thin
silicate layer created by the silane components, protects the surface from diffusion
of oxygen or humidity and as a result from
corrosion.
IONISATION
Ionisation neutralises static charges which
sometimes occur on the media’s surface.
This charge balancing prevents the risk of
cloud formation around the motif and instead guarantees accurate and sharp contours. The ionization unit is, for example,
integrated in our DP-UV flatbed printer
models. Once set up, it automatically adjusts
to the charge strength of every print run.

After printing, our specialty TH!NK-2 direct printing inks need
to be cured for several minutes at minimum 120° Celsius. This
curing process ensures utmost adhesion on a variety of coated
and non-coated metals and guarantees optimal resistance of
the print against UV rays, weather conditions, alcohol, oil and
acetone. The printed items are suitable for use in external and
industrial internal areas.
65 years of permanent development work, as well as numerous amounts of feedback from practical experience, are
embodied in each of memmert’s heating ovens. The fittings of the heating and drying ovens are practically-oriented,
their programme functions are designed for a wide variety of applications and, even when used intensively, the allrounders made of stainless steel lose nothing in shine or in reliability. From 32 models, expandable with convenient,
approved and tested accessories, you will easily find the heating oven ideally suited to your needs. According to
your application the two model versions SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY meet all requirements of thermal safety,
precision and quality assurance. Please find a list of all available models online on dp-shop.eu.

ENSURING COLOUR ACCURACY
Printing with different ink types on varying materials has an
impact on the inkjet printer’s colour reproduction accuracy.
In addition, printing speed, print resolution, ink droplet
size, banding minimizing algorithms and bi-directional
printing can have an influence on the print result. Today,
digital printing without colour adaption, through colour
management with ICC profiles, is unimaginable.
Precise measuring equipment, such as the spectral photometers developed and produced by companies like
Barbieri electronic and X-Rite, allows creation of precise
ICC colour profiles thereby enabling highly accurate
special colour reproduction or reliable colour stability
controlling during production. These reasonably priced,
professional high-end devices can be combined with profiling and quality control tools included in several of the
RIP software solutions we offer.
If you are interested in creating individual colour profiles
yourself and in-house, we can provide you with the necessary specialty equipment and software as well as corresponding training.
Please contact our colour management experts to arrange
an appointment for a colour management workshop at
your premises.

WORKFLOW OPTIMISATION
INCREASE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY
Increase your productivity by optimising your work processes and multiply your printed media offering. We provide various inexpensiveretrofit options to help you.
The new ionisation unit (IU) neutralises the occasionally
occurring static charges of materials during the printing
process. This chargebalancing prevents the risk of cloud
formation around the motifand guarantees instead accurate and sharp contours. The IU is self-adjusting. Once set
up it automatically adjusts to the charge strength of every
print run. The ionisation unit is available in variouswidths
and can be retrofitted to all solid-matter direct printers
without problem. As it is model contingent or is fitted to
the print bridge housing, substrate neutralisation can take
place during the printing process.
As part of our further accessories for vacuum tables, as
of now you can also get a useful foot-operated switch.
Using the foot pedal the vacuum can be switched on and
off leaving your hands free to changeover media on the
print table when you need to.
ACR is short for Automated Chip Reset and is a helpful
upgrade for solid material and textile direct printers which
are based on Epson 4800 and 4880. By pressing a button
all 4 cartridges in the drive can be simultaneously reset
without having to extract them from the machine. In addition, the ACR reduces the failure risk through the potential
damage of the chips that has existed until now with the
manual reset process. This guarantees easy, quick and
clean resettingof the cartridge chips.
A new high performance vacuum table for Mimaki’s UJF
models immediately simplifies the printing of films and small
objects for small format UV direct printing. The 360 x 460 mm
vacuum plate enables the fixing and positioning of media on
the printer table. The vacuumplate, with a set containing a
by-channel vacuum pump, a foot-operated switch as well as
all of the necessary hoses and connections, is available from
stock.

Trouble-free communication between printer and
RIP software
Minimises risk of failure
MINIMIsING RISK OF FAILURE
Our DP-RIP-STATION is a reliable high-performance hardware platform with standardised default settings specifically
adapted to your individual direct printing solution. It ensures trouble-free communication between the printer and
the pre-installed individually configured RIP software.
The idea behind our RIP-STATION is to control each printer
within the production site from a computer that is specifically adapted to the requirements of the production on that
particular printing system. Controlling several printing
systems from just one PC carries a high level of risk which
could ultimately stop the entire production line. Hence,
if each printing system is controlled by an individual RIPSTATION, the overall system’s availability cannot be compromised. Hotfolders within the RIP software allow the data
transfer from existing workflow environments.

BEST TECHNOLOGIES
i-Group Technologies was one of the first companies in
the Direct to Garment printing business that helped DTG
printers get the best results they could when pretreating
shirts. We continue to strive to bring the best technologies
and methods to our customers to make the DTG process
more efficient and cost effective. This is why we developed the Viper line of pretreatment machines. And now, our
sister company Image Armor is helping change the face of
pretreating solutions. Image Armor LIGHT is changing the
way people print white and light colored garments with
increased vibrancy, detail and image durability. Image
Armor DARK and ULTRA are changing the way dark shirts
are printed with better durability and image quality of
the finished prints. Combining the experience of i-Group
Technologies Viper pre treaters and Image Armor pretreatment solutions is one of the best ways to help take your
DTG printing business to the next level - letting you focus
more on building your business.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

Coromandel, Leipzig, www.coromandelfashion.com
For white and coloured garments
We have been producing sustainable designer clothing in our
fashion studio in Leipzig since summer 2012. All of our unique
designs are specially created for Coromandel by national and
international designers. In June 2014, after switching suppliers,
DP Solutions delivered and installed our new Epson SureColor
SC-F2000. We are very pleased with the printer’s easy handling
and the fantastic print quality it provides. The Epson SC-F2000
runs smoothly and we feel we are in good hands with the team at
DP Solutions despite the physical distance.
Cost-effective production of single items
Short response-times
Low production costs
Low ink consumption
Environmentally friendly inks
Suitable for small work environments
PRINT AND GO
Individual or unusual motifs and high-definition photo
printing onto cotton or blended garments is very popular.
The only real printing option in this market, however, is
digital direct-to-garment printing. The comparatively low
production and maintenance costs of the machines and
the low ink consumption allow you to achieve the highest
quality yet still at an attractive price. In addition to that you
can realize extremely interesting profit margins. Furthermore, fast production of single items on demand and the
ability to produce multi-colour motifs without extra costs
per colour, ensure you maximise customer satisfaction.
As with all our direct printing systems, the Freejet 330
Plus TX and the Epson SureColor SC-F2000 impress with
their comparatively low purchasing, maintenance and consumption costs. They print high-resolution photographs,
superfine details, smooth colour gradation and soft skin
tones. Operating the machines as well as the corresponding RIP software included in delivery is very simple. Both
printers work with CMYK and White and are therefore
suitable for processing white and coloured garments. Integrated circulation systems prevent the white ink lines
from clogging and causing costly cleaning. The Epson SCF2000 can alternatively be equipped with double-CMYK.
In this case it processes white and light-coloured garments
in less than 30 seconds. With respect to ink systems, the
Freejet 330TX is equipped with easily refillable bulk ink
tanks and the Epsons SC-F2000 works with original Epson
cartridges.
While on the one side the Freejet 330TX has a particularly
attractive price and performance ratio, the numerous special functions offered by the RIP-software of the SureColor
SC-F2000 make it a just as competitive proposition. Using
a fast and reliable cost calculation for production contracts, the amount and cost of the inks required for each
print contract can be calculated in order that the projected
financial outlay can be accurately estimated. The design
software enables you to easily create your own, attractive
designs for T-shirts, hats and bags with a thickness of up
to 25 mm.

UPGRADE-KIT FOR DIRECT-TO-GARMENT PRINTERS
ADVANTAGES
Simple upgrade-tool
Suitable for all textile printers
No ink-loss during circulation
Minimizes production losses
Reduces maintenance
TAKE THE STRAIN OUT OF PRODUCTION BREAKS
If you retrofit your direct-to-garment printer with a WCS, you can save time-consuming and cost-intensive cleaning
procedures or production failures following dormant periods of use.
WCS is short for White Circulation System – an efficient, high-quality circulation pump system that delivers the white
textile ink in specifiedintervals for a few minutes through a closed circuit system. This processprevents the settling of
white pigments in the ink lines withoutwasting one drop of ink. The WCS switches on and off automatically and, even
after multi-day periods like weekends or holidays, enables trouble-free production to resume.
In 2010, we designed the WCS for flexible use in Epson-based direct-to-garment printing systems. It can be retrofitted
to your printer by us at any time, even if that particular machine or printer model is not part of our own product range.

Easy to clean
SIMPLE, NEAT AND FAST
”VIPER“ is the perfect solution for those who don’t want
to spend time on manual pre-treatment of coloured or
black fabrics. Exactly right if you don’t want to leave the
consistency of primer application and the associated wash
resistance of your printing to chance.
Both the smaller and lighter VIPER ONE as well as the larger VIPERXPT-6000 are unbelievably easy and comfortable to use. Both machines guarantee consistent, uniform
primer application from the first to the last shirt – all without spray formation.
The VIPER XPT-6000 functions are controlled using the
multilingual touchscreen. The position and size of the
spray area and the required amount of primer can be set
by fingertip. By simply pressing a button the spraying
process is performed within seconds. The cleaning of the
lines is an automatic process. An excellent and professional solutionfor both small and large jobs.
With it’s compact format and weighing no more than
22 kg, the new and inexpensive VIPER ONE can easily be
integrated into small spaces and therefore is particularly
relevant for smaller print and copy shops with a limited
amount of available space. The spraying process of this
compressed air operated pre-treatment system is started
using an analogue press button. Within seconds the spray
nozzle, fixed in the middle of the machine, delivers the
specified amount of primer onto the garment.

Stylus Pro 9900 with Spectroproofer since 2012. Combined with the
efi Colorproof XF RIP software, the EPSON printing technology provides the colour accuracy required by the fashion industry.
Optional Inline-SpectroProofer
Printing speed of up to 40m²/h
Low operating costs
Automated nozzle detection function
Roll exchange in less than 45 seconds
Media thickness of up to 1.5 mm
Low energy costs, environmentally friendly
PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY, FINE ART AND PROOFING
Designed with the print requirements of the commercial
photography and fine art markets in mind, and also representing a sound choice for the proofing market, the Epson
Stylus Pro series combines accurate colour with high productivity at speeds of up to 40m² per hour. It achieves one
of the highest colour gamuts available with consistently
smooth gradations.
Tap into enhanced dot quality and crisp, clear images for
better-than-lab-quality prints with Epson’s PrecisionCore
TFP printheads. The UltraChrome K3 inkset with Vivid
Magenta guarantees a superior range of natural-looking
grey tones. Three densities of black - standard photo
or matte black (selected automatically depending on the
media) plus light black and light light black - create striking
black and white output with a high contrast ratio, perfect
tonal range and improved grey balance without colour
casting. This combination of black inks means prints are free
from bronzing, with a uniform surface appearance across
both light and dark areas. Metamerism is also reduced,
ensuring grey tones are consistent no matter what light
source they are viewed under.
Epson’s Automatic Droplet Detection System fixes blocked
nozzles without intervention. The printer also carries photo
and matte black inks simultaneously, a built-in rotary knife
cuts prints quickly and cleanly while paper rolls are changed
effortlessly in seconds.
The optional inline SpectroProofer ensures consistent,
repeatable colour accuracy when using different media,
rapidly measuring control strips and colour charts when
creating ICC profiles and print verification results.

Highest print quality
Easy roll exchange
We are a media company catering for a variety of different
business sectors with high profile small and large format digitally
printed products. Since our company was set up in 2002, we have
been using digital printing systems. In autumn 2013 we decided to
implement the new EPSON SureColor SC-S70600, equipped with
silver and white inks. We’re thrilled with the brilliant picture quality
and the fast printing speed. Printing silver and metallic effects has
become a unique selling proposition for us and has generated
significant new business.
Short set-up times
Automated adjustment of media tension
Automated media feed correction
Print speed over 50 m2/h
Highly resistant inks (over 3 years without lamination)
No special ventilation needed, if operated in office areas
ENERGY STAR-certified
UNRIVALLED
The brand new Epson SureColor series prints everything
from posters, signs, banners, backlit display cases and
POS materials to car labels, interior decoration and trade
fair displays. Thanks to its wide spectrum of supporting
roll media, users are able to print both reliably and costeffectively on vinyl, canvas, transparent films, photographic
paper as well as a variety of current banner media with a
width of up to 64 inches (162.6 cm).
A lifting device fitted at the back of the machine allows a
new roll to be loaded single handedly. The media fixture
can be adjusted from the front to the back of the printer
ensuring both time saving and optimal productivity. Large
printing volumes can be easily dealt with due to Epson’s
characteristic performance, reliability and ergonomic
equipment.
The Epson SureColor model’s maximum printing speed of
51.8 m2/h leaves the competition in the shade. The new
Ultra-Chrome GS2 ink, which is now also available with a
new yellow ink formula,is light-resistant for 3 years in
external areas without lamination. It is odour- and nickelfree and doesn’t need any special ventilation, meaning
that the Epson SureColor can also be used in office areas.
The machines are ENERGY STAR-certified , save money
and are environmentally friendly.

Feel the Digital Future

We’d like to leave you with the following thought: At the
beginning of the 21st century, we cannot continue to strive
for “more of the same“. “Global Challenges” call for a new
understanding of how the retail and printing markets work
and how we can achieve more in less time. The extensive
range of Mimaki printers available offers a new answer to
the global challenge.
Speed and quality are attributes that need to go hand in
hand. We need to achieve more than ever before.
The introduction of extra enhancements to our currently
available products is just one example of how we have
been able to offer more for less. The best example is the
Kebab Option for our small format UV-Curing UJF series
printers; this extra option allows customers to print on
cylindrical objects even if they have already bought a small
format flatbed printer. We have enhanced the creative
minds of our customers just by offering something new to
an existing product.

HIGH EFFICIENCY GUARANTEED
ADVANTAGES
The JV400 SUV series sets new industry standards by combining the flexibility
of solvent printing with the durability of UV cured inks, resulting in smooth,
glossy prints. These characteristics, coupled with a high resistance to scratching
and weathering are designed to satisfy even the most demanding of customers.
Solvent UV ink contains a solvent component and a UV ink component. First,
the solvent component attacks the acceptance layer of the media, fixing the
pigment; the subsequent UV curing assures very high robustness. When using
Mimaki Solvent UV Inks, fixation and curing is immediate. Therefore, drying
times are eliminated. Immediately after printing, secondary processing, such as
lamination, can be performed, dramatically increasing efficiency. A robust UV
component remains on the media after UV curing, which provides a surprisingly
strong scratch resistance (rub-fastness). Moreover, Solvent UV is equal to or
better than solvent ink in weatherability and alcohol resistance. In cases such as
banner materials, where lamination is difficult and often omitted, considerable
durability can be expected.
The 3 Way Intelligent Heater improves the colour reproduction and fixability of
ink by heating the media to the proper temperature before, during and after
printing. In combination with the 3 Way Intelligent Heater, the UV curing unit
immediately fixes the ink.

The latest Solutions
Today companies strive to find new strategies and ways to
operate in their markets. With the rapidly changing technological areas, companies are faced with many ways in
which to conduct their business. This also means that enterprises that have been around for a long time need to change
to accommodate these new advancements and improve
their own workflows and printing techniques.
With such significant changes in the business environment,
it is unsurprising that a large number of new Mimaki printers
have been introduced to the market over the last few years.
The new challenges of speed and the continued demand
for high quality, have made it necessary to upgrade to the
newest technologies.
Mimaki JV300 and CJV300 printers are the latest solutions
in response to this global challenge. The focus of many
years of the Mimaki R&D teams to get the best of the best
in Printing and Print & Cut devices has resulted in solutions

ON DEMAND – DIGITAL LABEL PRINTING
Labels are needed wherever you want to transfer information in a promotionally effective way. With numerous different shapes, formats, characteristics and
their adhesive backs, they can flexibly be attached to
nearly any surface. Print self-adhesive operating manuals with your company logo or a product image, multicoloured name plates with barcodes or consecutive
numbering, product and warning signs or servicing
information and promotional labels quickly and easily
in-house just on demand.
Without set-up costs and with hardly any set-up time
and in only three steps, you can profitably create
single labels as well as large numbers of badges in
high-resolution photo-quality. The printing data is
designed in a standard graphics programme, sent to
the printing system by mouse click and printed directly
onto the media.
With the Freelabel you no longer need to store a vast
number of different pre-printed labels. Just print them

Specially designed for Epson F2000
dtg printers
We have been using the Epson SureColor SC-F2000 since March
2014. After a short testing phase, we decided to keep working
with the new Digital Factory Apparel Epson Edition as opposed to
the standard RIP that had been included in delivery. Digital Factory
RIP software not only remarkably increases printing speed but also
improves print results, e.g. higher density of white ink layers on
coloured garments compared to results achieved with standard
RIP software. In addition, production time is reduced due to various
hotfolder options allowing to process multiple jobs even while
printing.

LEADING-EDGE FEATURES
Unlike the multitude of RIP software packages that were solely designed for wide format printing, Digital Factory RIP
software includes features that support seamless print and cut workflows. Not only does Digital Factory provide complete job management and preparation tools, vibrant color, unmatched RIP speeds for hundreds of printers, post-print
cutting support on hundreds of separate cutters or hybrid print/cut devices… It combines all of these features in an
interface that is quick and easy to use.
Digital Factory Apparel Epson Edition was specifically designed for the Epson SureColor SC-F2000 direct-togarment printing system. This specialty software will have you printing vibrant designs on fabrics of all colours in
minutes. Multiple, pre-set, color-managed queues come standard within the software and ensure that illustrated
images literally "pop" with color and photographic images are printed with unmatched accuracy. The automated
underbase feature ensures that images printed on dark fabrics are printed beautifully and in the least amount of time.

BRING-IN-WARRANTY
We grant a one-year bring-in-warranty for new and used printing
systems. I.e. that electronic and mechanical parts as well as
non-ink-leading parts will be replaced free of charge on our
premises within the first year after purchase. Please note that print
head, dampers and tubes are excluded from the warranty.
Alexander Schaller, Technical Customer Service
DP Solutions GmbH & Co. KG
The bring-in-warranty covers all costs arising for repair work and
spare parts (if not explicitly excluded from the warranty). Bring-In,
in particular, means that the defective machine needs to be returned to our premises for servicing purposes. Please note that any
transportation and transportation-related costs are excluded from
this warranty and need to be paid by the customer. Upon request,
we arrange for shipment through our forwarding agent. In any
case you will be provided with a shipping check list referring to
appropriate packaging etc.
TECHNICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE
Our current team of eight technicians consists of
two screen printers, a direct printing pro, one media
business administrator, two mechatronics engineers, a
data processing engineer and a mechanical engineer.
The diversity of professional backgrounds means we
complement each other perfectly.
ON-SITE SERVICE
Upon request, we service and repair your printing systems
on your premises throughout Europe. The costs arising for
this on-site service are based on the extent of the repair
work as well as on the physical distance. If the service can
be planned in advance we can include your appointment
into our installation and servicing schedule. By combining
several appointments into one service tour, the call-out
fee for each individual client can be reduced remarkably.
In addition to that, we are located nearby the four airports
Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Stuttgart, Basel and Strasbourg.
If needed, this allows us to be with you at short notice, no
matter if your business is located in Germany or abroad.
Every one of us is assigned a specific area of expertise.
Basic knowledge about a particular printer or method is, initially, achieved in technical and operational
training with the suppliers. Our showrooms are usually equipped with at least one model of the many
roll and flatbed printer series we offer. This means,
that after we have finished our initial training with
the suppliers, we are able to test the printing system
extensively and go over the finer details ourselves in
our own workshop.
Because we are handling these printing systems daily
we know them inside and out and use internal, interdivisional workshops to pass on our knowledge and
experience to our colleagues. As a result, every one
of our technical customer service staff is in a position
to advise our clients with respect to technical and
operational questions concerning our entire printer
portfolio.

SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS
Tightly controlled maintenance intervals help to maintain the
value and prolong the life of your digital printing system. That’s
why many machine manufacturers make provisions regarding
the frequency of maintenance and testing of devices.
The conclusion of a service and maintenance contract provides security, transparency and calculable costs. Regular equipment inspections carried out over the year by our specialised
personnel support the smooth flow of production and minimise
wear and tear as well as signs of aging that may be caused by
inaccurate or insufficient care in daily operation.
Consulting
Customer-specific appointments for workflow optimisation
in your production environment come under the heading
of “Consulting”. These training courses are conducted by
our specialists for printing and colour management and can
either be undertaken as individual or group training.
An on-site consulting appointment offers several advantages. The training contents are strongly practice-oriented
and based on the individual requirements of your production environment. The content and scope of training is
based on the level of knowledge and skills of the partici-
pants. The imparted knowledge can be applied directly and
therefore reinforced using practical exercises on your own
devices. Workflows can be checked and optimised if necessary on request in the course of production support.
In addition to the reinforcement and repetition of training
content on the day of installation, our preliminary on-site
workshops can be used for training, for example, on efficiency by means of in-house colour management, surface
activation or the use of software for process control.
Juliane Neis, Service Coordinator
DP Solutions GmbH & Co. KG
WE KEEP AN EYE ON
THINGS FOR YOU
Experience has shown us that regular maintenance
of a printing system ensures that the print quality is
maintained in the long run and prevents potential
production downtime and unnecessary costs.
Especially when solvent-based inks are involved,
for example, spare parts like the printer’s capping
station need to be replaced at specific intervals.
With our so-called “Capping Subscription” we offer
you a service which monitors these intervals for you
and we then contact you in due time to inform you
about the necessary replacement of the capping
station.
As a subscriber of the above-mentioned service, you
receive the capping station at a reduced price. Furthermore, delivery within Germany is free of charge,
whether you only need the capping station or additional spare parts and consumables shipped as well.
In addition to this we also remind you of the yearly
maintenance of your printing system by putting
an inspection sticker on your machine that recommends when the next service is due. This allows
you to arrange an appointment in time and avoids
standby times.
Service & Support
Part of our free service is to remind you of these dates and to
schedule a maintenance appointment with you upon request.
Alternatively, we offer various optional service and maintenance contracts tailored to your individual needs. The selected
type of contract regulates such areas as the frequency and
scope of on-site checks, the supply of spare parts, response
times by our service team and extended warranty, such as
extended runtimes or similar.
120
Service & Support
SAMPLING
We offer a wide range of machines and special ink and provide ready-made print samples for you for standard applications, such as printed foot rules,
rulers etc. In order that we can also put together a suitable printing solution for individual requirements, we carry out detailed printing tests on the
substrates provided by you in advance.
In order for the tests to be as comprehensive as possible, we ask you to provide a sufficient quantity of product samples (at least 5 identical parts).
For meaningful results, we also require high resolution CMYK print data with at least 300 dpi or 600 dpi for line drawings in a print-ready PDF file.
Alternatively, vector data can also be used in an open graphic file. Fonts must be converted to curves or paths.
QUITE SOMETHING
A direct printing system is not something you buy off the shelf. The contents of our website, our print media as well as the freely available manufacturer’s
instructions are only intended to provide non-binding information and are no substitute for the application advice by our staff. We'd like to invite you
to visit us for a personal consultation with subsequent product presentation at our premises in Renchen. Our demo rooms are permanently equipped
with over 20 latest-generation digital roll and flat bed printers. This offers you several advantages: 1. You will get to know the wide performance range
of digital printing and digital direct printing in a very short time. 2. If no product tests were undertaken in advance of your visit, various printing options
(if necessary also with various pre-and post-treatment options) can be tried out during your demo appointment. 3. Our team knows these devices inside
and out – no matter whether they are flatbed or roll, solid or textile, original or modified printers. Take advantage of the wide range of possibilities offered
by our machines and let us help you find the right printing solution for your application.
ACCOMMODATION BLACK FOREST STYLE
Our customers and contacts who may have travelled a long way for a demo in Renchen can take advantage of local
accommodation in a modern Black Forest style in the new 3-star hotel “die alm” in neighbouring Oberkirch.
Please contact us if you are interested in staying and would like to arrange accommodation. As a partner of the hotel we

WELL ADVISED ...
Our product portfolio is incredibly extensive. In fact,
with the nine different direct printing ink types that
we offer, we are already way ahead of the competition. The same is also true for our machines which
serve a diverse range of printing areas, for which we
continuously keep a correspondingly large range of
spare parts and accessories.
PRODUCT SAFETY
Almost all products that we stock can be ordered
conveniently and securely online in our DP shop.
We strive to make the product information on the
articles as detailed as possible. Please email us or
give us a call with any questions about equipment,
colours, software or accessories that may arise when
shopping online.
If you would like a personal consultation on a specific subject, we will be happy to do this for you.
You can rest assured that you’ll be looked after by
trained professionals from various areas of the printing industry, meaning that you will always get the
best advice.

in our assortment comply with the RoHS guideline for the restriction of usage of specific hazardous substances.
All our inks comply with the requirements of the REACH regulation (EG) No. 1907/2006. In general, our products
are free from substances listed in the SVHC-list (Substances of Very High Concern). They are regularly monitored
in accordance with Art. 59 paragraph 1 and 10 as well as Art. 33. Our well-trained product safety specialists cater
for the compliance with the various different guidelines and regulations and let you know immediately in the case
of alterations or updates (alteration of material or components).

SHORT RESPONSE AND DELIVERY TIMES
As sales and service partner of the machine manufacturers Epson
and Mimaki, we are authorised to perform repair and maintenance
work on original equipment. Our extensive ink and spare parts
warehouse guarantees short response and delivery times. Thanks
to our service team of 8 employees and a correspondingly large
number of response vehicles, help can be provided on site at short
notice, if necessary.
We have all standard roll and flat bed printers on stock. The production of our custom machines can, depending on order volume,
take a few weeks. As a European general, we permanently hold
large numbers of Freejet flatbed direct printers. The rapid delivery
of even more devices to our German customers, as well as our
resellers in Europe, is therefore ensured at all times.

INK DIRECTLY FROM THE
MANUFACTURER
We get most of our inks directly from the manufacturer. Due to continuously
high stock turnover and short supply chains, you will always receive a guaranteed supply of fresh inks.
Thanks to our close relationship with both users and ink manufacturers we can
adapt to the specific requirements of the market and participate in the development of new direct printing ink types or colours.
Ink waste must be disposed of properly with proof of disposal. As our customer you can
request a 5-litre empty container for the storage of this waste. We will collect the full
container and empty cartridges during your next service appointment and dispose of them
properly. You will receive a new container in exchange. This service is performed free of
charge and without obligation.
