Ford Zephyr Zodiac that requires restoration. It is believed the mileage may be correct but
unfortunately there is no proof. Comes with some old MOTs and some new parts inside the
car. Sold as a non runner.

FORD FIESTA - 1118cc ~ 1992
Mileage: 40,470 miles Warranted MOT: 17/02/2017
This Ford Fiesta Sea Spray edition was purchased from us by the vendor in 2013 for his
daughter who has unfortunately decided she would like a newer car! Prior to the vendor's
ownership it was one family owned from new. It has been garaged ever since only being
used occasionally. The car had an oil and filter change in 2015. Comes with a Haynes
service and repair manual, the original owner's handbook and some old MOTS.

AUSTIN A40 - 1098cc ~ 1963
Mileage: 71,147 miles Not Warranted MOT: 23/02/2017
The Austin A40 Farina is a small family car that was introduced by Austin in 1958. Although
usually referred to as the A40 Farina, to distinguish it from previous A40 models, it was
badged simply as the Austin A40.
This Austin A40 Farina has just had a recent MOT and respray back to its original colour.
Comes with a few old MOTs.

JENSEN INTERCEPTOR III AUTO - 7212cc ~ 1972
Vendor has owned this Jensen Interceptor lll Auto since 2010 and he purchased it as a
rolling restoration project. Floor panels and inner and outer sills have been replaced in 2011.
All work on the car was carried out by a local fabricator. Many parts have been replaced
during the vendor's ownership: Power steering rack refurbished and pump replaced, radiator
pressure tested, new coolant, hoses replaced, new alternator, new carburettor, new wiper
motor, mota lita steering wheel, brake pipes replaced, carpets replaced in 2011 new battery
and fuel pump. This Jensen's bodywork needs attention and it requires a full respray. Being
sold as a running project.

Lot 6
AUSTIN A40 - 948cc ~ 1960
This 1960 A40 was garaged for 30 years before being recommissioned in 2011. It then went
back into a garage and was eventually put back onto the road in 2015. The mileage is
reading 27,848 and the history file includes old MOTs that go back to 1974 when the
mileage was 16,870. Due to the fact the car was in storage for so long it is believed the
mileage could be correct. A usable solid classic that needs some cosmetic attention.

MG MGF - 1796cc ~ 1998
MGF 1.8i finished in Old English White with black trim. This car has only covered 57,062
miles from new. Service history includes 13 service stamps including a cambelt change at
41,125 miles in 2010. Also included is a folder with old MOTs and service invoices, a book
pack with security card emergency key code, 2x keys and remote fobs and a Tonneau
cover. The number plate G200MGF is included with the car along with the original MG radio.
Current MOT with no advisories.

FORD MONDEO GHIA X AUTO - 2544cc ~ 1996
One lady owner and only 22,000 miles from new. Supplied and serviced by English Ford this
Mondeo has 14 stamps in the book. The vendor states this car is in outstanding condition.
Finished in blue with full black leather trim, alloys, sunroof, air con, 3 keys and a spare
wheel that has never been used. Powered by a 2.5 V6 engine this car is quick.

MORRIS MINOR - 1098cc ~ 1968
This Morris Minor 1000 Convertible has not been used or taxed since 2004 and is currently
sorned. This car forms part of the estate of the late Mr Ward. Recent work carried out in the
past 6 months includes brakes stripped and cleaned and parts replaced as needed, new
Borg and Beck clutch, tank flushed, pump rebuilt, starter changed, carb stripped and rebuilt
and gearbox changed. All electric systems checked, new hood cover and front bumper trim.
Large history file dating back to the first day of registration which includes loads of invoices
and bills. "Algie" is a running project that requires restoration.

RELIANT RIALTO SALOON - 848cc ~ 1987
Last owner since 1999. Lots of history and new MOT. A good looking car which is
unfortunately let down by its tatty interior.

AUSTIN A35 - 950cc ~ 1957
Purchased by the vendor in 2005. Gearbox replaced with Morris 1000 ribbed box. Engine
has been re-bored with new pistons, big ends and main bearings (pictures included). New
clutch and stainless steel exhaust fitted. Brake fluid reservoir has been moved to engine bay
and a remote servo fitted to the brakes. MG Midget hardened halfshafts also fitted. A very
sound usable car.

GBS ZERO SPORTS - 1998cc ~ 1990
Powered by a 2.0 Pinto engine with twin webers and 5 speed box this well built 'Lotus 7'
style sports is correctly registered as a GBS Zero. It is freshly MOTd (with just one advisory
for an exhaust leak). An Ideal weekend road or track car, this is fast, basic, and noisy. Great
fun!

VOLKSWAGEN GOLF CLIPPER CABRIO - 1781cc ~ 1991
VW Golf Convertible presented as originally built finished in Blue. Mot until November 2016.
Recently serviced by Autobahn in Bournemouth. Unmolested specimen with partial history.
All MOT history bears out the mileage currently standing at just shy of 83,000. Interior is
standard grey check, grey carpet with black dash and modern radio/CD player. Factory fitted
electric hood and windows. New battery jan 2016. Used daily until quite recently, garaged
and used for high days and holidays latterly.
Ownership history- 3 previous owners, husband and wife (3 owners before vendor) and the
vendor has owned the car for just over 2 years. As a family they have enjoyed the freedom
of a convertible and the car has been camping with them as well as down to Cornwall and
more local jaunts.

This one litre Ford Fiesta Bonus is in truly remarkable condition having travelled just 22,444
miles from new. Supplied and serviced from new by Ford main agent Castle Garage
Axminster. It has been well cared for in all departments with new tyres, exhaust, original
radio/cassette and wheel trims. Comes with a service book containing 16 service stamps
and handbooks. Finished in wedgewood blue with complimentary shadow interior.

PORSCHE 944 - 2479cc ~ 1986
Recently resprayed to a good standard. Fitted with 17 inch Porsche alloys with recent tyres.
MOT until October with no advisories. Recently completed a 200 mile drive from
Birmingham and the vendor states there were no overheating issues and the oil pressure
showed as a steady 4 bar. The vendor also drove the car to the auction from Devon with no
issues. Vendor was told the two owners prior to him were professional mechanics. Spec
includes electric windows, sunroof and the rare option of full leather seats.
History folder includes a service book containing 6 stamps and some old MOTs.

MG MIDGET 1500 - 1491cc ~ 1975
This MG Midget had a professional body restoration some years ago and has been dry
stored since. Has since been recommissioned with a new MOT. All panel gaps are very
good as is the paintwork. Comes with hard top, hood frame, new hood, parts catalogue and
lots of bills. Finished in purple with tan trim, ready for the summer.

JAGUAR SOVEREIGN 3.2 - 3239cc ~ 1993
This lovely XJ40 has just been recommissioned after being in dry storage since 2007 and
comes with 12 months MOT. The mileage of just 61,500 is correct and comes with the
original service book containing 9 stamps. Purchased new from Henlys London by a famous
PR company in New Bond Street. These XJ40s are going up in value so this one represents
a good investment opportunity.

This MG B GT was purchased by the vendor 9 years ago and rebuilt, it has been garaged
throughout that time. Comes with MOT certificates from 1995 along with lots of bills and
parts receipts. Finished in red with black interior.

RILEY ELF - 998cc ~ 1969
This lovely little Riley Elf was restored a few years ago. The car has had a few upgrades
over the years including disc brakes and dry suspension. A very nice usable classic.

BMW 840 CI AUTO - 4398cc ~ 1997
This 3 owner BMW 840 V8 is in superb condition. History file includes 14 service stamps,
last serviced at 151,000, lots of bills, old MOTs and handbooks. Also has spare keys.
Finished in metallic maroon with grey leather interior. These 840 coupes, the flagship of the
time, are getting very rare and this one even has an 840 reg number. These cars are fun to
drive.

MERCEDES 230 E AUTO - 2299cc ~ 1983
This Mercedes 230E Auto is very rare indeed. This car has had only 3 owners from new and
is a local Bournemouth car. Comes with factory sunroof, PAS, some old MOTS and bills and
service items. Finished in Fern Green with beige trim.

AUSTIN MINI MAYFAIR - 998cc ~ 1983
It was a delight to meet the vendor and his wife who own this very original Mini. It is not mint,
but a very nice car. They have owned the car since 1986 when it was 1500 miles old (2
owners in total). It has been in store for a number of years and has only covered 180 miles
since 2006. At 59,211 miles the car had a major overhaul total cost of £1118.85 which
included a replacement sub frame, radius arms and bearings etc. All the bills, including one
for a new clutch, are in the history file. The day to day servicing was carried out by the
vendor who is a retired engineer. Comes with the original handbook and old V5. Has just
passed the MOT and had a comprehensive service. The reason for the sale is that the
vendor's wife has now decided to give up driving. In our opinion this is one to view.

TOYOTA CELICA GT-4 - 2000cc ~ 1990
New cambelt and oil change in January 16. Brake service in December 15. Invoices for gear
oils, plugs, new shock absorbers, springs and suspension rubbers in 2014. New clutch kit
parts invoice 12-3-14. Mileage believed to be correct as there are lots of old MOTs and
service history from Japan. NB these cars are quick, they have 4x4 drive train and turbo
charged engines.

JAGUAR XJS V12 AUTO - 5343cc ~ 1980
The vendor has owned this car since 2006 and all of its history is on a disc, as from that
date he purchased the car as a non runner. It is believed the previous owners who
purchased the car in 1986 died and the car was disposed of through a third party to the
vendor. The car had been laid up for some time prior to his ownership and the vendor has
supplied a signed letter stating as far as he is aware the mileage is correct but cannot be
warranted. The chassis number is from 1978 and it is believed it could be a left over model
from the fuel crisis which was registered late. The car is believed to be 1 of 357 (info
supplied by Jaguar). The disc shows the rebuild including engine etc. This car is not
concours but is a very nice example and the vendor states it drove to the auction very well.

JAGUAR 4.2 XJ6 AUTO - 4235cc ~ 1986
Jaguar XJ6 4.2 Series 3. This is a very sought after classic with excellent body work and
interior. History file includes lots of recent bills totalling over £1000 for new brakes,
suspension bushes, shockers, oil seals etc. Also included is the original handbook, pepper
pot alloys, full tan leather trim, PAS, electric windows etc.

MERCEDES 280 SL AUTO - 2746cc ~ 1983
Mercedes 280SL Auto with only 3 owners. This car has only covered 61,000 miles from
new. Full service history which includes 10 service stamps, old MOTS and invoices. The
vendor states this car is in good unrestored condition and has never been painted and is all
original with lovely interior. Fitted with a hard top and has a navy blue hood, alloy wheels,
electric windows, central locking and PAS. A rare opportunity to buy an original unrestored
and low mileage Mercedes SL.

WOLSELEY 1500 - 1489cc ~ 1958
1958 registered Wolseley 1500 with a believed to be correct 26,910 miles from new.
Unfortunately there is not quite enough history to warrant the mileage. This car is in lovely
condition inside and out. Comes with many invoices and the original service book and
manual. The car underwent a light restoration in the late 1980's but retains its original
interior which is in good order. Many old MOTs dating back to 1981 and records of work
carried out. Only 5 registered keepers from new. A great chance to own an excellent piece
of British motoring history. MOT and tax exempt.

PORSCHE 944 - 2479cc ~ 1983
The vendor and 4th owner purchased this Porsche 944 in 1999 from a Mr Jefferies who had
owned the car since 1993. After he purchased it, the vendor drove the car locally for a short
while before work commitments took over his life! The car was consequently put into
storage, occasionally coming out to go onto a lorry to go for an MOT. Soon the vendor didn't
even have the time to MOT the car so it stayed in permanent storage. The car has recently
come out of storage and has had an MOT and service along with a good clean. A full check
was carried out by Silvertune Porsche Specialists in Christchurch at a total of £940 which
included replacement water pumps, engine mountings, exhaust silencer, fuel filter, brake
and clutch fluid, engine oil and filter and more. Comes with old MOTS, a service book
containing 5 stamps and book pack.

WOLSELEY 1500 - 1489cc ~ 1960
This Wolseley 1500 was registered in October 1960, vendor states the car is in very nice
condition. Comes with lots of bills and old MOTs and new carpets. Finished in two tone
green with matching trim.

ROVER MINI MAYFAIR AUTO - 1275cc ~ 1993
Rover Mini Mayfair Auto with 25,000 miles from new. Full service history, 10 service stamps
and lots of invoices and MOTs. Also comes with a bookpack and drivers manual. New
transmission fitted in 2015 and the car has done barely any miles since then. Was used in a
TV advert for the 2012 olympics and for Monster energy drink.

TRIUMPH VITESSE - 1998cc ~ 1970
Triumph Vitesse Mk2 2.0 Litre saloon, manual with overdrive. Lady owned for the last 14
years, used regularly, and only 4 former keepers. It's an older body off restoration (with
photos) and the chassis is still in excellent condition. The impressive history file includes
most old MOTs, many invoices for upkeep, and even the original 1970 sales invoice (to a Mr
Halstead for £1064,19s, 8d, with a part exchange allowance of £310 for his old Viva!) Also
with the car are the original Triumph Manufacturer's Guarantee, Vitesse owners handbook,
service schedule, and Stanpart accessories booklet.

ROVER 3500 AUTO - 3528cc ~ 1976
Rover P6 3500 VIP. This is one of the 77 VIP models made by Rover in 1976 as P6
production came to an end. At that time Rover had 77 main dealerships throughout the UK
and thus it was one car per dealership. These cars were not for sale to the public, they were
intended for the manager of each branch and were the only P6 cars to feature air
conditioning and the later SD1 interior. They only came in two colours; platinum silver or
Brasillia brown (44 silver, 33 brown). Of the 77 produced only seven are known to have
survived; 6 platinum models and this car… the only former Brasillia brown example. For
better or worse depending on your opinion of the brown the previous owner of this car
decided to have the colour changed to this pretty metallic blue colour when the car
underwent a £40,000 professional restoration. Photos of the car in its original condition are
in the cars history folder and aside from the originality issue i think everyone would agree
that the blue is a far more attractive colour. The professional rebuild took over two years to
complete and was totally comprehensive insomuch every panel was removed and assessed
and many were replaced. Even the roof was removed (something that is possible on a P6)
during the rebuild. A comprehensive history file of invoices and photographs documents all
this. The engine was fully rebuilt and uprated to fast road spec and converted to run on
unleaded fuel. All the ancilliaries including the air con were rebuilt. The automatic
transmission, drivetrain and real axle were all rebuilt. The VIP model was only ever
produced in automatic form there was no manual option. A list of the work carried out is
included in the history folder, the work was done by James Watt Automotive based in
Staffordshire. The underside of the car is as good as the day it left the factory, they left no
stone unturned during this restoration as money was not an issue. If you want the very best
Rover P6 VIP then this is it! Elegance personified.
Lot 35
MG B - 1798cc ~ 1974
This very genuine and original teal blue MGB has a substantial history file with MOTs and
bills going back to 1979 when the mileage was reading 30,656. This leads us to believe that
the current recorded mileage of 70,119 is almost certainly correct but unfortunately cannot
be warranted. Has overdrive and a stainless system. It comes with a soft top, hard top, roll
bar, and chrome boot rack.

TRIUMPH TR7 CONVERTIBLE - 1998cc ~ 1981
The previous keeper owned the car since 1988. Has uprated brakes with vented discs,
uprated spax suspension with 200LB springs, uprated rubber bushes. Full stainless steel
large bore exhaust with 4 branch manifold. Thermostatic electric fan with override switch,
Rover seats, padded roll bar. Comes with old MOTs. The car has had a speedo change but
it was not documented. Had a full restoration and respray in 2002.

HUMBER SCEPTRE - 1725cc ~ 1966
This Humber Sceptre has had only 3 registered keepers from new. The previous keeper, a
Mr Bailey owned the vehicle from 1986 until 2015. Because of this it is believed that the
mileage of 36,052 could be correct, but due to the car having no service history, it cannot be
warranted. The car was purchased by the vendor in 2015 and since then has had a
considerable amount of work done including all necessary welding including new inner &
outer seals, front out riggers, new brake pads & new brake hose, new water pump, new
clutch plate, all new chrome retaining clips, new carpets, stainless steel exhaust. The car
has been completely resprayed and the vendor states the paintwork is good, but not perfect.
Comes with an MOT until March 2017 with no advisories. Finished in red with black interior.

AUSTIN RUBY - 747cc ~ 1937
This lovely old lady is sold as a non runner. Has been stored for the past 5 years, does turn
over but there is no spark. The car was running when it went into store. Comes with lots of
old MOTs, handbooks and most importantly there is a logbook which has a lot of interesting
notes, it appears that engine has been reconditioned etc. This is a very solid car with good
interior and trim and chrome work but has been hand painted. Don't be put off, this has all
the makings of a good car.

DAIMLER V8 250 - 2548cc ~ 1964
This lovely old Daimler is a local car. Original black with lovely red leather. Has some early
MOTs and 1 previous owner. Because of this it is believed to be genuine mileage but we
cannot warrant it due to lack of history. The car has been stored for 30 years in a dry warm
building. Recommissioned in 2016 and now ready to enjoy. Original tool kit and jack
included, the car also has power steering.

RILEY KESTREL 1100 1098cc ~ 1966
Mileage: 728 miles Warranted
1966 Riley Kestrel with a warranted 728 miles from new. Featured in newspaper articles and
online, this a totally unique car. This Riley was purchased new by an owner in Yorkshire who
hardly used the car before he passed away. Upon his death, his family left the car
untouched for years before eventually selling it to Thornfalcon Classics in Somerset who set
about recommissioning the car. The Riley was then sold to a collector of low mileage British
cars and formed part of a private collection being scarcely used, covering an average of just
14.5 miles per year. This is a very rare, unique opportunity to own a Riley with amazingly
low mileage and history to back it up. This car would be a true credit to any collection or a
wonderful 50 year old 'as new' car for someone to use and enjoy.

TRIUMPH 2000 - 1998cc ~ 1967
A rare MK1 Triumph 2000, manual with overdrive. This car has been used and enjoyed for
all of its life and was owned by the previous keeper for 22 years. Comes with wads of
service history including the last 33 MOT certificates. Restored 7 years ago and the engine
was rebuild 4 years ago and the car is still in good condition. This head turning classic is a
daily user and is ready to drive away and enjoy.

BMW 320I CONVERTIBLE AUTO - 1990cc ~ 1988
This BMW has been looked after and garaged by the vendor for the past 4 years. It has also
been serviced annually and MOT'd every autumn then garaged for the winter. It has had 4
recent tyres, battery and water pump. New hood and timing belt were fitted around 10,000
miles ago. The car has toured extensively during the vendors ownership including to the Isle
of Wight, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Guernsey, Wales and Cornwall and he states the car
has proved reliable. Comes with a tool kit, windbreak and cover, two spare wheels and front
suspension turret brace. Power steering, electric windows and mirrors. The history file
indicates that the mileage could be correct however there is not quite enough history to
warrant it. Finished in black with cream leather interior and walnut dash.

JAGUAR MK2 - 3442cc ~ 1963
Mileage: 142,255 miles Warranted
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a remarkably original and unspoilt Jaguar MK2 3.4. The
car is unique in having only had 1 family owner plus the vendor from new. It was purchased
new by Mr CJ Baxter who sold it on to his brother. Upon his death ownership was passed to
his wife Mrs Baxter registered it in her name. The vendor acquired the car on 31st Jan 15 to
add to his collection but lack of space forces sale. Like so many of these cars which have
been in one family, the paperwork and all important service records etc have been lost in the
midst of time however we do have correspondence dated in 1992 which shows the total
mileage from new is approx 142,000. We do have 12 old MOTS and 18 old tax discs from
1971 (duty payable £25). The books include maintenance chart, Jaguar sales and service
facilities, original drivers manual, Haynes workshop manual, SORN documents that show
that the vehicle was laid up from approx 2004 to present and the original buff logbook. The
MOT's also suggest that the car was laid up or hardly used between 1984 and 1991. The
vendor has asked us to bring to your attention that brakes will need a possible overhaul and
there are new discs included in the sale. Also the clutch pedal is high but he is not aware
that is slips however there is a new clutch also included (to be fitted by the purchaser). We
seriously suggest that this car is seen. It has a lovely patina and wood work is in good order
as is the red leather. The ownership is proven by all of the logbooks which are included in
the sale. This car is also fitted with a Harvey Bailey Engineering Handling Kit consisting of
front road springs and front and rear anti roll bars. Also included is an automec copper and
brass brake pipe kit, brake hoses, new spark plugs, oil and air filters etc.

VOLVO P1800 ES - 1986cc ~ 1973
This is a very honest example of a popular sports coupe. It made its mark on the public
through the TV series "The Saint". The last registered keeper has had her for two years and
the V5 shows only 3 previous owners. The history file has old MOTs and lots of invoices,
finished in dark red with black leather. Has the original radio and working overdrive. The
vendor says it has plenty of go and drives well. He also says that oil temperature gauge
plays up sometimes however the oil pressure gauge is perfect and holds the correct
pressure. Please note only 2000 of this model were ever made.

AUSTIN MINI - 1275cc ~ 1967

This Mini Cooper S replica has been painted inside and out to a very high standard. It has a
1293cc engine, short swan neck inlet 40 webber carb, full stainless steel Fletcher exhaust

AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MK3 - 3000cc ~ 1965
Introduced in late 1963 and built through December 1967, the 3000 Mark III, series BJ8,
was the final version of the beloved “big Healey” and represents the highest refinement of
the marque.
With twin two-inch SU carburettors, the well-developed 3.0 six-cylinder engine of the 3000
Mark III produced 150 horsepower, the most of any model of the Austin-Healey line.
Acceleration from 0–60 mph took just 9.8 seconds, and top speed was around 120 mph.
Other improvements of the 3000 Mark III included a revised exhaust system, a brake servo
as standard, and in the case of this Phase 2, a revised rear suspension to increase ride
height for improved ground clearance. The Phase 2 also features a luxurious cockpit
combining a dashboard of burled walnut and a centre console, as well as the curved
windscreen and wide up windows.
It is clearly the most comfortable, most weather-tight, and most luxurious model among all
Austin-Healeys. Comfortable and fast yet classically styled, the 3000 Mark III marked the
epitome of the open British sports car and is widely considered an iconic example of the
best of the era. The Austin Healey 3000 has been singled out by Quentin Willson as one of
5 cars tipped to buy now before prices soar.
This car was originally supplied to Montreal, Canada in 1964 and registered there in 1965.
In 1992 it was purchased in Georgia USA and exported to Ireland. The accompanying
Heritage Certificate shows it is a matching numbers cars in its original colours of BRG with
black leather and hood and amongst others was supplied with overdrive, adjustable steering
column, wire wheels, and heater. The car is to all original specification other than the leather
Moto Lita steering wheel. It has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration. Photos in
the file show the bodywork was very sound prior to the strip down. A new soft top has just
been fitted along with Continental tyres on refurbished wire wheels. Comes with copy of
original handbook along with the aforementioned Heritage Certificate, Dating Letter,
Technical Specifications and some receipts.

ROVER MINI COOPER 1300 cc ~ 1999

Direct from the streets of Yokohama comes this Japanese spec Rover Mini Cooper
automatic. Cars from Japan are renowned for their low mileages and thanks to their climate,
sound condition. Featuring a 1.3 Single point Injection engine with AP auto gearbox, this car
has a very high specification: airconditioning, full black leather seats with beige piping,
walnut dash and door cappings, black and beige leather steering wheel, front spots and
fogs, Minilites and fixed rear side windows are all to be found. Good condition throughout
with 4 new tyres just fitted. In the history file is the Japanese Auction sheet that shows the
car is a Grade 4 and that the low mileage of 72,000kms - 45,000 miles is warranted. Also
comes with the factory supplied leather wallet containing the book pack (in Japanese!)
Japanese Export Certificate and English translation, SAD document showing payment of EU
duty and VAT and also a copy of bill of lading. NOVA declaration will also be provided to
enable straight forward registration in the UK.

JAGUAR XJ6 SPORT AUTO - 3239cc ~ 1995
This outstanding Jaguar XJ6 has covered a total of 19,453 miles from new. Every bill and
MOT is included in the history file along with a service book containing 3 Jaguar service
stamps. Also included are the Jaguar bookpacks and handbooks and a spare key. This car
belonged to a Mr Morris who sadly passed away last year, ownership was then passed to
his wife who registered it in her name and is now selling the car. In the past 10 years the car
has only travelled approximately 1200 miles. Finished in red with beautiful cream leather
interior this Jaguar has clearly been very well looked after.

ALVIS SILVER EAGLE S.F 16/95 - 2148cc ~ 1935
We are delighted to offer this excellent example of a 1934 Alvis Silver Eagle S.F 16/95.
Powered by a 6 cyl 2148cc engine rated at 16.2HP. Coach builders Cross and Ellis. The
history file on this car is huge and includes the buff logbook, Alvis build sheet, record of all
previous owners from 1934 (10 inc the vendor) and photo records of the engine rebuild.
The car was collected by a previous owner of 26 years from Surrendell Farm, one-time
hideaway of Roddy Llewellyn and royal personage! A protracted but thorough re-build put
the car into good condition. All its numbers match, the registration mark, engine and body
number (Cross and Ellis no 4052) are all original, the latter being a rare survival on an Alvis.
The car is to original specification with the following known exceptions: 12 Volt battery
replaces the pair of 6 volts, a shield is fitted between carbs and exhaust manifold, an S.U
electric fuel pump replaces the mechanical pump and a modern temperature gauge is fitted.
During the restoration the bearings were re-metalled, crankshaft/flywheel assembly
dynamically balanced, timing chain tensioner refurbished. A P.D Gough stainless exhaust
system is fitted. The car was totally rewired and winking indicators added. Starter motor was
reconditioned.
The ash-frame was partly replaced with new ash members. The original rexine roof covering
was replaced professionally with new padding and vinyl. New aluminium wings and steel
running boards were fitted. All leather and wood trim is original and renovated. The door
inner skins and the interior panels were all put onto new plywood and new carpets and
headlining were fitted.

BRISTOL 401 - 1971cc ~ 1953
This very rare Bristol motor car is being entered by the second owner from new. He acquired
the vehicle in 1989 from the first registered keeper Mr Coulthwaite. The vendor has
maintained the car to a very high standard. Comes with a photographic record of the re
spray which was carried out around 9 years ago, showing that the car was taken down to
the bare metal. Also comes with the original handbook and the registration number is
original. The Bristol owners club state that upgrades to cars on the 400-406 are worthwhile
additions and this lovely car has the benefit of Dunlop disc brakes which are servo assisted
and were fitted by the first owner. The second owner has fitted overdrive and has uprated
the engine and we now believe it to produce 120BHP+. Other upgrades include fitted
webber single choke carbs, cosworth pistons and a livelier cam. To be critical we thought
the engine was a little lumpy, mainly because it has only done 206 miles since the rebuild.
The car needs to be run in and set up properly. The car is not concours but it is in absolutely
superb condition with a lovely patina. The vendor purchased from the Bristol owners club a
copy of the workshop manual which is 5 folders long. The history is split into two folders, one
from the first owner and the other from the second. The car is finished in British racing green
with cream leather interior. Benefits from a new roof lining and re chroming of the bumpers,
headlight surrounds etc. A very rare opportunity to acquire a 2 owner, genuine mileage
Bristol.

AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 - 2912cc ~ 1960
This car represents the very first version of the Austin Healey 3000 and is finished in the
popular colour combination of Ice Blue over Old English White. The car comes with a copy
of the heritage certificate. Extras listed in the Factory records of October 1960 and
confirmed by the heritage certificate include: Overdrive, wire wheels, heater, Adjustable
steering column, laminated windscreen, miles per hour speedo, stainless steel exhaust. The
car has an upgraded black mohair convertible hood and Tonneau cover along with the side
screens and spare wire wheel. The car was also recently fitted with 4 new Vredstein classic
tyres. Comes with workshop manual, Thor Copper headed wire wheel spinner hammer and
the original owner's handbook. Was owned and maintained to the highest standard by a
USA owner for the last 30 years from 1984 until 2014 when it was purchased in the USA by
the vendor and brought back to the UK.

MG B - 1798cc ~ 1966
This MGB was registered on a Bournemouth number plate when new and supplied to the
first owner by Knott brothers in Charminster Road. The registration document shows only 4
keepers from new. The car was purchased by Roger Taylor classics in around 2000 and
given a ground up restoration at a cost of £10,000 plus. After this is seems the car has been
used sparingly (approx 2000 miles) before being laid up in dry storage for several years.
You may note that we are only able to give approximate dates as sadly all the paperwork
referring to car has been mislaid. Only recently it came up for sale again and was
sympathetically recommissioned to a high standard with every effort to keep it in original
condition as possible. It is believed the speedometer reading of 2664 is all the car has
covered since the original restoration. Finished in black with red leather/ piped black
upholstery. Comes with full and half Tonneaus (unused), a set of five knock on chrome wire
wheels and new tyres, a new hood and Motolita steering wheel.

DAIMLER 2.8 SOVEREIGN AUTO - 2792cc ~ 1972
This is an increasingly rare series 1 Daimler Sovereign with the iconic 2.8L XK engine. The
registration number KKX928L is the original number. First registered on 1st August 1972
and purchased by the late Mr Clark in Buckinghamshire, the car was later inherited by his
son T.F Clark in 1977. Included in the history file is a letter signed by T.F Clark dated 1981
(when he sold the vehicle) confirming the then mileage of 18,650. In 1984 the car moved to
the Isle of Wight and made its home with a hotelier named Mr Davidson in Shanklin, by the
end of this year the documented mileage was 33,677. MOT certificates verify the mileage in
February 1982 as 23,648, 1984 as 31,621 and 1986 as 35,880. The last tax disc purchased
for the car expired on 29th February 1988 where the mileage remained at 38,724. During
the 1990's, work was gradually carried out while the vehicle was off the road including new
pistons and rings, skimmed head and re-grounding of valves, new head gasket set and new
timing chain tensioners. Two new front wings were also purchased and fitted in 1995. The
car was purchased in 2006 by a Mr Lewis as part of a house clearance and as an unfinished
restoration. The car was then dry barn stored for over 7 years on a farm in Wootton, Isle of
Wight where the owner had planned to restore the car further. The current owner and
vendor purchased the car in August 2013. Upon purchase he was informed that the then
owner has passed away mid way through the restoration and his widow had decided to sell
the car on. Since August 2013, the car has been stripped down and its restoration has
continued. All of this has been documented in a huge photo album. Work included a bare
metal respray to its original colour of Jaguar British Racing Green, re-chromed bumpers and
over riders, many new parts including reconditioned auto gearbox and torque converter, new
brake servo and reconditioned master cylinder with Jaguar kit. The carb has had automatic
enrichment device (AED) replaced with a manual choke. The car has been Tetra
undersealed and also benefits from a stainless steel exhaust system. All the tyres are new
including the spare. New Monroe front suspension dampers, new performance HT leads,
recommended Champion plugs and battery. Various electric components such as the
voltage regulator for the instrument panel, relays, distributor cap/points, new indicator arm
and switch were also replaced. This is a real historic vehicle and a piece of our motoring
heritage preserved for many years to come, surely an investment for the future.

JAGUAR MK II - 2800cc ~ 2002
Mileage: 700 miles Not Warranted
This is a truly special and unique Jaguar MKII. The previous owner spent in excess of
£60,000 rebuilding this car into a usable everyday classic using two highly regarded
professional restoration companies. The previous owner already had a mint MKII 3.8 auto
that he used sparingly and so he set about having another car professionally converted to
run on diesel. He sourced a near perfect totally rust free car from New Zealand (cars there
are also RHD) and had it shipped back to the UK. The car itself was a very early MKII
example, it was actually number 1500 off the production line making it a 1959 (first year of
production car). A letter from the heritage trust is included in the history folder confirming
this. Once back in the UK the car was totally stripped to bare metal with every part removed
and either reconditioned or replaced with a new part. The underside of the car is testament
to how thorough the specialist were when carrying out the restoration, it really is like new
underneath.
The original 3.8 litre Jaguar engine was sent away and reconditioned and returned on a
sealed crate, where it still is now. This of course gives an option should someone wish it to
be returned to original spec in the future; there is some paperwork to accompany the
engine. The restoration work was carried out by Grace Jaguar and James Watt Automotive
in Staffordshire. James Watt alone spent over 397 man hours on the car and that excludes
the interior which was carried out by Hampton Coachtrimming at great expense. Invoices for
this work are included in the history file. The leather seats were beautifully reupholstered
and the suede headlining and sun visors are perfect.
This is without doubt one of the very best examples of this iconic Jaguar saloon. The car
gives the new owner the option of a reliable 2.8 Nissan turbo diesel with great MPG or
returning it to its original state using the rebuilt Jaguar 3.8 engine supplied (NB purchaser
will have to source manifolds and carburettors). Whatever your preference, in terms of
condition this car offers a massive saving on restoration costs as all the work has already
been completed professionally and to a high standard.
The car comes with a history file including photos, V5, several sets of spare keys and a book
on the history of the Jaguar MKII. Number stamped on original engine: LA6104-8 (LA stands
for 3.8)

ROLLS ROYCE SILVER SHADOW - 6320cc ~ 1968
This early Silver Shadow Convertible was supplied new by Mann Egerton Ltd, Norwich to L
A Trafford Esq of Mulbarton Lodge, Norfolk originally registered to 'GCL 11'. In September
2002 the Rolls-Royce was registered in Ireland, passing in 2006 to Robert Archibald of
County Carlow. The immediately preceding owner had all the interior woodwork restored by
A J Hickman of Lichfield in 2013 and then commissioned a mechanical refresh to include a
brake service by PJG Autos of Bristol, which included new callipers, new master cylinder,
new discs, etc. The steering box seals were replaced at the same time. The last registered
keeper purchased the Shadow in August 2014, since when marque specialist Phil Murray of
Devises has fitted new window seals, adjusted the wheel bearings, fitted new drive shaft
universal joints, installed new carpets and made all the windows function properly. Finished
in Regal Red with matching mohair hood and beige leather interior. Comes with two driver's
handbooks and a supplement.

TRIUMPH TR4A - 2138cc ~ 1965
This Triumph TR4A is an original RHD UK car. Finished in signal red with matador red
interior. Has been in current ownership since 2012. Comes with an extensive history file
which includes bills for over £12,000 which has been spent on the car in the past 4 years.
Key features include unleaded head, stainless steel exhaust, alternator conversion,
telescopic rear shock absorbers, Kenlowe fan, recent clutch, black mohair hood in very good
condition and original tonneau, original seats and door cards, new walnut dash, new inertia
reel seat belts, refurbished painted wire wheels with a recent set of Vredestein classic tyres
with new wood rimmed steering wheel. In 2013 the car was given a full body overhaul. All
four wings were removed and both inner and outer sills were replaced prior to a full respray.
The main body tub and floor pan were in good condition and a photographic record of the
work in progress comes with the car.

MG MGA - 1600cc ~ 2013
This superb example of a very rare 1959 MGA Twin Cam Roadster has been fully restored
by the vendor since being imported into the UK in 2012/13 from Beverly Hills USA. This car
has been subject to a complete strip down and rebuild, the body has been removed from the
chassis the engine has been sent away to specialists. The car is finished in old English
white with red leather interior which is all brand new. The vendor is a retired military
engineer who delights in restoring classic English sports cars for his own satisfaction. This
car is truly exceptional. Included in the history file is a folder of invoices dedicated to the
restoration with major bills totalling over £7000.

JAGUAR MK IX 3.8 ~ 1959
This Mk IX Jag is automatic and has power steering. The Heritage Certificate confirms it is
a matching numbers car. A letter from the previous owner who was a retired garage
proprietor states that he purchased the car in 1979 at 51,000 miles from an American
gentleman who kept the car in the west of Ireland to be used for two months of the year.
Over his 37 years of ownership he states that he had the body repainted, the underbody
rustproofed, the woodwork restored, the gearbox overhauled, the timing chain and
tensioners replaced along with a new petrol pump, tyres and stainless steel exhaust. Very
recent work include new screen rubbers front and rear along with a boot retrim. Being an
Irish car it was never subjected to salt on the roads and was kept in a motor house. It is very
much a ‘survivor’ car rather than one that has been freshly and overly restored. Comes
complete with large tools in the boot and the two sets of small tools stored in the front doors
along with the original handbooks. Currently registered in the Irish Republic. We will provide
NOVA declaration and assist with registration in UK.

TRIUMPH TR3 - 1991cc ~ 1957
This is an original UK RHD car with original reg no. V5 shows 2 former keepers. While in
previous ownership of 21 years the car underwent a full body off restoration with no expense
spared. The body was restored by North Devon Metal Craft. New steel panels as required
no panel patching was carried out. The engine was rebuilt with a balanced crankshaft and
high port lead-free cylinder head. Gearbox and over drive rebuilt. Chassis which is excellent
was refurbished and all running gear rebuilt before fitting of body and respray. Interior
finished in beige, leather seats with red piping. New side screens, mohair hood and tonneau
cover. Sits on excellent chrome wire wheels. In the last 2 years the following upgrades have
been fitted, high torque starter, rack and pinion steering, front disc brakes, electric fan,
narrow belt conversion, spin on oil filter. Very low mileage since all work carried out. Large
comprehensive file including invoices, old MOTs, old style logbook, photos and rebuild CD's.

TRIUMPH TR7 CONVERTIBLE - 1998cc ~ 1982
This Triumph TR7 has been fully restored. New front wings, front panels, adjustable shocks,
new interior, MG TF alloy wheels, new tyres, stainless steel exhaust, Texalarm vehicle
alarm. History file includes around £3750 worth of invoices plus the cost of bodywork/paint.
Last registered keeper for 26 years.

MERCEDES 300SL-24 AUTO - 2960cc ~ 1992
This has to be one of the nicest 300SL's 24V on the market today. Finished in arctic white
with black leather upholstery. Everything is right about this car, including the complete tool
kit and first aid kit (all unused). Comes with a full book pack and importantly full service
history, 12 service stamps all main agent and Mercedes specialist, which supports the
mileage of 54,000. Also has the benefit of electric roll over bar, cruise control, ABS and the
correct hard top and soft top which is as new. These 6 cl twin cam 24v have plenty of power
and they are good on fuel. The vendor has owned this car since June 2013 (4 previous
owners) and the only reason he is selling is that he has purchased an XK150.

JAGUAR XJ-S CONVERTIBLE AUTO - 5343cc ~ 1989
Supplied new by H R Owen in Chelsea London in 1989 .This XJS is a 5.3 V12 auto is
finished in Westminster Blue with cream leather/blue piped heated sports seats/ contrasting
carpets and a blue mohair electric hood. It comes with its original service book/bills and is
fully stamped. In Ireland, it was kept on display in a Jaguar dealership showroom for 14
years. There is only 41,146 miles on the clock, backed up by its service record and test
certificates.The car was imported into Ireland in June 1996. The spec includes cruise
control, abs,air/con,central locking, head lamp power wash, power steering, grey over red
waist line body stripe. The car is in excellent condition and had a valid roadworthiness test in
Ireland until recently. Original radio not fitted but included and also the original tonnou cover
for the soft top when its open. This presents a great oppurtunity to aquire an appreciating

This this rare Mercedes E220 has been serviced every 3000 miles on average with total fluid
changes including PAS fluid and filter. Was used for anual touring holidays whilst in previous
ownership and has barely been used by the current owner and vendor in the past year. High
spec including 4 speed automatic gearbox , full grey hide, PAS, heated seats, wind
deflector, original Blauplunkt music with 10 CD changer, electric aerial puddle lights,
illuminated vanity mirrors, headlight protectors, AMG style alloys, over mats, air-bags, glass
heated rear windscreen, rear arm rest, leather steering wheel, sportline gear knob, original
tool kit. History file includes Old MOT's, invoices, bills and 7 service stamps. Very original
car. Finished in silver with grey leather trim.

FIAT 500L - 649cc ~ 1971
Imported to the UK from Italy in the 1980's, this Fiat 500L was then believed to have been
laid up for around 17 years. It was eventually purchased by a classic car enthusiast who
restored the car and then purchased by the vendor (logbook showing 3 registered keepers
since arriving in the UK). The vendor tells us that during the restoration the engine was
upgraded to 649cc, a synchromesh gearbox was fitted along with a new fuel tank, new tyres,
roof and upholstery. Included with the paperwork is a new MOT with no advisories, some
copies of Italian documentation and a certificate of provenance from the Fiat 500 club.

MERCEDES 190E 2.5-16 - 2497cc ~ 1990
The Mercedes-Benz W201 was a compact executive saloon car manufactured by
Mercedes-Benz from 1982 to 1993. Supposedly, Mercedes spent over £600 million
researching and developing the 190 and subsequently it was deemed ‘over-engineered’ in
an era when Mercedes engineering was widely revered.
Mercedes wanted to build a race going version of this car to partake in the Deutsche
Tourenwagen Meisterschaft (DTM) which had to be based on a road-going model so the
190e 2.3 16v was born. This was later updated to the 190e 2.5 16v in 1988
Apart from the performance increase over the standard 190e, there were other notable
changes over the standard 190. The body-kit reduced the drag coefficient to 0.32, one of the
lowest CD values on a four-door saloon at the time, whilst also reducing lift at speed. The
steering ratio was quicker and the steering wheel smaller than that on other 190s, whilst the
fuel tank was enlarged from 55 to 70 litres. The Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox was unique
to the 16-valve and featured a ‘racing’ gear pattern with a ‘dog-leg’ first gear.
This excellent 2.5 16v manual car one of only 5743 produced, is offered with only 77k miles
from new. Finished in Blue/Black metallic and desirable black leather interior, the car
presents and drives very well. It has been well-maintained with 18 services, 10 of which
have been performed by Mercedes Benz dealers. It also comes with a fresh service and a
new MOT with no advisories. Lastly, it includes a nice number plate referencing the DTM.
This is a great opportunity to buy a low mileage 80’s real classic, sure to prove a worthwhile
investment.

Rare example of a Vauxhall Victor 101, believed to be 1 of 5 known by DVLA. Shown at the
Dorset steam fair where the vendor tells us it generated alot of interest. Comes with a few

TRIUMPH STAG - 2997cc ~ 1973
Owned by the vendor since 1988, the mileage on this Stag is now reading 86,240. Due to
the vendor having owned the vehicle for 28 years it is believed the mileage is correct,
however prior to his ownership there is no history so we cannot warrant it. The car was
restored in 1991 and has spent much of its time in a garage since then. New master
cylinder, new clutch cylinder, holley 4 barrel, 4 branch stainless steel manifold and stainless
steel exhaust. Comes with old logbooks, various MOTs dating from 1988 (68,611 miles) to
present. NB: Logbook states the car is an auto but it is a manual.

JAGUAR XJ-S CONVERTIBLE AUTO - 5343cc ~ 1989
Finished in blue with cream leather interior and wooden dash. History file includes loads of
Jaguar invoices which show the mileage from 1991 at 19,233 to 1999 when the mileage was
79,398. MOT history shows the mileage in 2006 at 90,512 to present 106,152. The mileage
is now reading 106,431. Because of this it is believed the mileage could be correct although
there is not enough history to warrant it.
