Swedish Portable Sawmill
With the Logosol Sawmill M8 you can quickly produce high-class planks
and boards from your logs, in the length and dimensions of your choice.
The sawmill is simple to use – and easy to own.
If you have not cut timber before, the M8
is the perfect choice. You will quickly get
started and the sawmill is very easy to use.
The first day you will already have produced
a good-sized stack of planks and boards.
Visible scales and the possibility of sawing
in fixed steps make setting quick and
accurate. Everything is clearly described
in the book that comes with every sawmill.
The accuracy is impressive, no matter if you
are sawing boards for panelling or squared
logs for building log houses. The M8 can cut
all sorts of wood both from the forest and the
garden: oak, aspen, juniper, apple tree, cherry
tree, larch. The list goes on.
Strong and rigid frame
The sawmill is built of strong, anodized
aluminium, a material that gives it fantastic
qualities. Besides being forever rustproof and
storable outdoors, it is so strong and rigid
that it can easily take large-diameter logs. At
the same time it is so lightweight that you
can lift and move it by hand. The coating of
the sawmill gives a fine and dirt-repellent
surface, which also prevents snow and ice from
sticking to the sawmill. The sawmill is almost
maintenance free, and it will work when you
need it, for decades.
The log ramps and the log beds with
integrated winches enable you to cut timber
without much effort. The log comes up to
a level that makes it comfortable for you to
secure it on the sawmill. The compact design

makes it even easier when the log is to be
turned over, since you then can come close to
the sawmill and have a good working posture.
But another feature that is just as important
for your convenience is that the boards come
at an easily accessible waist level, making
them easy to lift from the sawmill.
In other words, the Logosol Sawmill not only
saves your time, but also spares your back.
Fixed log supports are fitted at an exact angle
to the log beds. The fixed supports save time,
as they never require resetting between the
saw cuts, and you do not have to adjust the log
clamps. This gives you even better accuracy, as
the log that is sawn into boards is supported
from the log bed and up to the topside.
In addition, the design of the sawmill makes
it suitable for sawing in the winter. All
important functions of the sawmill are raised
from the snow cover and the sawdust is thrown
out away from the sawing spot. This is an
important quality in the winter, since sawdust
acts as a reinforcement and makes the snow
hard as stone. When you have finished you can
easily move the sawmill from the spot.
Mobile or stationary production
Many of our customers have their sawmill for
stationary use. You can also take your sawmill
with you and put it up on the spot where the
logs are, in the forest, on your backyard, or
anywhere else.
The Logosol Sawmill is easiest powered by an
ordinary chainsaw. The typical saw unit is a

Stihl MS660, which with its seven horsepower
and thin guide bar cuts the timber quickly
and gives a fine and smooth sawn surface.
With such equipment you can saw five metres
a minute from a 15 cm (6”) thick squared log.
The big electric saw unit, Logosol E8000,
with automatic feeding, doubles the speed,
and with the bandsaw you can even saw 15 m/
min (50 ft/min).
But technical data is one thing, working in
practise is another. The timber is not only
to be sawn up; it should also be stacked. In
addition, new logs need to be rolled to the
sawmill and, above all, you need a coffee break
now and then. We who use the sawmill can
from experience say that we produce between
two and four cubic metres (850-1700 board
feet) sawn timber in one working day, and if
you get help from a friend you will produce
even more.

M5 is a developed version of the original Logosol Sawmill, introduced in 1989,
which has now reached its optimal function.
M5 is the most sold model of all Logosol Sawmills, so there is no doubt that it
is a good sawmill.
If you are not going to saw that much, or if
you are going to use the sawmill for log house
moulding, you can save some money by choosing a Logosol M5. It lacks some features that

WOODWORKER’S MILL
New possibilities are opened up for woodworkers.
Around your neighbourhood there are
lots of timber, just waiting to be cut. In
towns and cities park trees are thrown
on the dump, and in the gardens fruit
trees are felled and burned on bonfires.
In the forest there are ash, sycamore,
pines, oak, and other types of trees that
many would class as brushwood, but we
woodworkers value so highly. It would
be a great shame not to take care of
these treasure chests of wooden workpieces.
Logosol’s Woodworker’s Mill is a fantastic tool
that maintains very high quality down to the
last detail. Each component demonstrates selfconfidence. The Woodworker’s Mill, which is
made of an anodized aluminium alloy, weighs
under 50 kg and is completely maintenance-

free. Despite its low weight the Woodworker’s
Mill lifts logs that weigh 500 kg, by a wide
safety margin. You can slice up the workpiece,
quarter saw it or cut rough-edged boards. You
can use the mill for edging or resawing, and
you can take diagonal cuts in different directions. There are an abundance of mounts and
accessories that enable you to adapt the Woodworker’s Mill to different purposes. The limitations are few.
Reliable design
The construction is made of the same components as the M8 sawmill. By shortening the
sawing length, you get a very sturdy and easyto-handle frame for preparing woodworking
material or different ways of special sawing.
The sawing length is 2.4 m, but you can easily extend it. Woodworker’s Mill can easily be

upgraded to a M8 Sawmill. In its standard version the sawing length will then be 5.5 m.
Easy to use
The accuracy is impressive. You can produce
everything from 0.5 m thick beams to millimetre thin sheets for making tiny boxes. Logs
are rolled onto the sawmill from a working
height of 55 cm. With the built-in winches
you can single-handed lift the logs up to sawing height. The finished workpieces lie accessible at waist height and are easy to lift off. As
a result, you not only save time, but also spare
your back. The saw runs along a stable guide
rail and gives you good results from the very
start. Visible, plain scales and fixed steps make
the adjusting of the sawmill’s settings both
easy and accurate. This is thoroughly described
in the manual that comes with the sawmill.

The log beds are independently adjustable, thus minimizing wastage of sawing

operation the lubrication is carried out
automatically. A solenoid valve controls the
oil flow, which is turned off simultaneously
with the saw.

Log rollers makes rolling the log onto the sawmill
and positioning it correctly even easier.
When sawing long timber, you can adjust your
M8 using a central extension (see page 19). Longer
distances between the log beds simplify log handling
and the precision is even better.
The log turner (see p.66) is a must for every one
that works with timber. An indispensable aid every
time you turn or roll a log!

THE GUIDE RAILS of the M2-M8 sawmills can
easily be extended 0.5 m or 1.0 m at the ends.
The M8 can also be extended 0.5 m in the middle of the sawmill so that the log beds are parted. Not only the guide rail, but also the adjusting
strut and the cross beam are then extended.
To extend the sawmill 2.5 m (M8 2 m) you fit
an additional half sawmill, complete with a log
lifter. For really long logs you can conjoin several
sawmills. The world’s longest plank was sawn on
eight conjoined Logosol sawmills.

Logosol began production of the Logosol Sawmill in 1989. Since then we have delivered tens of thousands of
sawmills to satisfied customers around the world. The first Timberjig was delivered in 1990. This simple but functional equipment is much appreciated by sawyers around the world. Many customers have, however, looked for a
product that is a little more outfitted than the Timberjig, but not quite as extensively equipped as a Logosol Sawmill.

e have used our customers’ and our
own experience to develop a system
where the base is a new, improved
Timberjig. A well thought out line of mounts,
guide rails, supports and other accessories,
which are all compatible with the Timberjig, makes it possible to extend and suit the
sawing equipment to your particular needs.
Adaptable
The components are divided into two lines;
one which aims at sawing normal-sized logs,
and one which aims at sawing oversized logs.
Most of the components are the same for the
different systems and can thereby be “re-utilized” for different applications.
We have put together four ready-made
packages that suit different purposes. When
you desire, you can upgrade the packages.

Worth knowing about Big Mill System
Saw as short logs as possible, and you
will have better precision and the work
becomes easier. The aluminium guide rails
can be conjoined and extended when
required. Guide rail sections are available
in lengths of 0.5 m, 1 m and 2.75 m (see
p.19).
When the guide rail is longer than
4 m, a guide rail prop should be fitted
at the middle of the log. If it is longer
than 7 m, two guide rail props should be
used.

BIG MILL Timberjig
The Timberjig saws quickly and accurately for a small investment.
You make your own wooden copies
of the components of Bill Mill Basic,
namely the guide rail and the guide
rail supports. The Timberjig comes with
mounts for making the guide rail and a
detailed manual for the entire Big Mill
System.
Many first-time users of the Timberjig are
amazed that it actually works as a small sawmill. You can produce your own planks and
boards by first sawing a beam and then cutting
it into the desired dimensions. The accuracy
usually lies within plus or minus a couple of
millimetres at the start, but practice makes
perfect. The more you saw the better the precision will be.
The Timberjig is suitable for logs up to 50
cm, but in practice there is no upper limit to
how big logs you can saw. Most chainsaws
with two bar bolts are compatible with
the Timberjig and the Big Mill System.

BIG MILL Basic
For higher precision and flexibility when choosing how to cut the log.
With Big Mill Basic you can cut logs into
rough-edged boards, or into cants that
can be used for building a log house or
be cut into edged planks or boards.
The Basic package includes a 2.75 m long
guide rail and two guide rail supports made
of steel. The supports can be set at 90 degrees
angles in four exact positions, enabling you to
cut right-angled surfaces. You can adjust the
height quickly and accurately with the help
of scales with fixed steps that facilitate adjustments.
The Basic system offers many possibilities. If the log is to be sawn where it lies, the
mounts can be screwed directly to the log
ends. The equipment can stay mounted on the
log until only the centre of the log remains.
This last part is sawn with the help of the
Timberjig, which is then guided by the sawn
surface of the previous cut. If you want a more
permanent work site, you just fit the mounts
and the guide rail to a “log ladder” that you
build yourself. The project log is easily secured
at a right angle next to the guide rail, which
can be raised or lowered. All instructions are
included in the detailed manual.
This system is suitable for both normal and
oversized logs. Bar lengths up to 90 cm can
be used. When fitting the mounts to the log
ends, the BASIC package is suitable for logs
up to 80 cm in diameter.

BIG MILL LSG
Two conjoined Timberjigs. Perfect for slicing up large logs.
This is how you do it: First, you fit something straight onto the log, e.g. a ladder or a
wooden constuction. This will guide the first
cut. Then you take the next cut, letting the saw
be guided by the sawn surface of the first cut,
almost like a cheese slicer. Maximum depth of
the cuts is 8 inches, or 20 cm. You can either
cut wide, rough-edged boards, or saw beams
that are then cut into ordinary edged planks
and boards, using one of the Timberjigs.
Provided that the first cut is perfect, the LSG
cuts large logs with very high precision. With
a 90 cm long guide bar, you can take 75 cm
wide cuts.

Due to the guide rails, you can easily take

centre of the log. After that, you can use the
LSG without guide rails, since you then have
a wide and perfectly plane surface that guides
the cut. You can also continue to use the guide
rails if you rotate the log half a turn and cut it
from the other direction. The guide rails can
be rotated around the log in fixed 90 degree
steps. Raising and lowering is also done in
fixed, accurate steps. This enables you to saw
edged boards, if desired. The double guide
rails can also be fitted together so that you can
cut twice the length with the Timberjig. In

LOGOSOL SHARPENING ROBOT
A completely new automatic chain sharpening machine.
The sharpening robot revolutionizes
the work with chainsaw mills, and you
get the luxury of always having a perfect chain on your chainsaw. If you want
to, you can even take upon yourself to
sharpen your neighbours’ chains.
Besides sharpening automatically, it also sharpens the chain amazingly well. Without having
any scientific evidence, we can state that the
edges of the cutting teeth feel sharper than on
a new chain, and this is clearly noticeable when
you are sawing. It can sharpen both 1.3 Picco
chains and ordinary 1.6-3/8” chains or 0.325
chains. Both the top-plate angle and the sideplate angle are adjustable, so it sharpens ripping
chains as well as cross-cutting chains.
The machine sharpens one side of the chain
at a time. This means that after a while you
have to reset the angle of the sharpening head

and move the chain one tooth forward to
sharpen the other side of the chain. It sharpens
ten teeth per minute. Sharpening one chain
takes approx. 1.5 minute per side. Starting
and resetting the sharpening head take about
half a minute.
Every Logosol Sawmill owner knows that
you should sharpen the chain frequently, but
only file off a little, just so that the teeth get
their sharpness back. This is, of course, no
problem for the sharpening robot. What is
more impressive is that it can easily fix a chain
that has been damaged by nails in the timber.
Regardless of how much take-off you choose, it
will not burn the teeth.
When sawing, you do not always have access to electricity. Due to the fact that the robot is powered by 12 V you can run it with a
car battery. One battery is enough to sharpen
several hundred chains. You can also run it

with a starting aid for cars, which you can get
cheaply. An ordinary battery charger is also an
option. The sharpener comes with a detachable
power cable with strong clamps.
The best is if the chain has an even number of
teeth, i.e. just as many right teeth as left teeth.
The number of links is then exactly divisible
by four. In that case you can let the chain run a
couple of turns on each side. Every turn makes
the chain sharper until the grinding disc does
not touch the teeth any more. If the chain has
an odd number of teeth, or if you only want
to grind the chain one turn anyway, you fit a
small clamp on the chain, which automatically interrupts the sharpening process after
one turn.

It is always easier if you have a
comfortable working place. Fasten
the guide bar with a clamp when
sharpening, and use a filing vice if you
have an electric saw and are sharpening manually.
Don’t forget to change
sprocket!
The best is if you alternate between
four chains using the same sprocket.
When the chains are worn out, you
change the entire set including the
sprocket.

BAND SAWMILL

Logosol Norwood LM Pro, known as the LumberMate Pro in North America,
is an entirely new sawmill that has all the advantages you would otherwise
find in a significantly larger and more expensive band sawmill. This mill delivers what you expect from it, and gets the job done quietly and efficiently.
T
he band wheels are cast in steel, and they
are large- 20.5” (520 mm). The track
where the blade runs is coated with an
extremely tolerant plastic material that reduces
noise level and blade wear, thanks to the fact
that it repels debris. The blade guide is also
uncompromising. The blade is led through
the log by double sets of ceramic blocks above,
below and behind the blade, which is standard
today on industrial band sawmills. The wheel
and blade guide make the band sawmill able
to work effectively while avoiding excessive
stress. The result is a band sawmill that cuts
more precisely at a greater speed.
High capacity expands the possibilities
The LM Pro saws through the thickest logs
without difficulty. The band sawmill can handle logs up to 33.5”(85 cm) thick. This means
that those unmanageable pieces of wood suddenly turn into perfect cutting timber. Impressive tabletops up to 27.6” (70 cm) wide can be
cut in one piece thanks to the large band opening and the precise blade guides. As you would
expect, both the petrol and electric models of
the LM Pro are equipped with automatic water cooling, making board cutting easier than
ever. Both variations are also equipped with
a saw brake that quickly stops the saw band
after every cut. This not only increases safety,
but also boosts capacity since you can now return the saw head more quickly. The saw head

is self-locking vertically. Taken together with
the other fine-tuning controls of the saw, this
makes it very easy to cut a board. Set the saw
height; saw, return. That’s all it takes.
Reliable rail construction
The broad self-bearing rail is designed to be
more than able to manage the weight of the
enormous logs that the band sawmill can tackle.
7/32” (5.5 mm) plates are form-pressed under
400 tons of pressure to optimise the torsional
stiffness of the construction. This produces a
rail that is lightweight but strong and capable
of remaining as straight as an arrow even under the largest logs. The LM Pro band sawmill,
with its stable saw trolley, saws very quickly
compared with other band sawmills of the same
size. Powerful motor alternatives are naturally
part of the reason behind this, but that is not
the whole secret. In order for the band to be able
to saw smoothly and without energy losses, the
bandsaw wheel and blade guide must be rigidly mounted. The LM Pro’s saw trolley is very
powerfully dimensioned, with four steel wheels
positioned at a wide distance from one another.
This provides effective steadiness for the blade.
Innovative electrical operation
The LM Pro E-Twin (LM Pro Electrical Version) is started by the push of a button, and its
power is impressive. The first motor accelerates the band from rest to 68 mph (110 km/h)
in one second, then the second motor turns on
automatically, and the motor package is ready
to deliver at full power. 10.7HP(8 kW) is sufficient for most jobs, but there is also a 16
HP(12 kW) configuration. Both options can
be started and run on a 50-amp electrical supply.
...and innovative electric feed
Logosol’s patented E-37 friction feeder has
now been adapted for the LM Pro. You can
control both the saw motors and the feeder
unit from the control panel located and the
end of the powerful guide rail. Feed pressure
is adjustable and feed rate is automatically
adjusted to resistance. This provides comfortable sawing that maximizes sawing speed. The
board is lifted from the block by a smart pair
of brackets when the saw is reversed, and then
sits in a nice stack next to you - you hardly
even have to budge. It’s almost too good.
Quiet cutting
What you’ll notice the first time you use your
Logosol LM Pro is the sound. This is a band
sawmill that runs quietly and without vibration. The petrol-driven variety with its securely rolling four-stroke engine, is friendlier
to both you and your environment. And if you

Taking care of the bandsaw blades is important. They will last longer if you change
blade after having cut 10-20 logs, and then
recondition the blade you have used. Start
with cleaning and rust protecting the blade
with universal oil, Naturally, the cutting
teeth must be kept sharp, but it is just as
important to grind the gullets, where small
cracks can occur in the material. When
the cracks are ground off and the teeth are
sharp again, the blade should rest at least
one day in order to let the steel recover. After that, the blade is like new again. If you
grind off 0.1 mm (1/128”) every time you
sharpen the blade, you can sharpen it approx. 10 times.

LOGOSOL LM410
Log Molder and Beam Planer – a Log House Molder unprecedented
A unique log house molder that can do
something no other molder can: besides
being a log house molder, the Logosol
LM410 is also a jointer/ planer for beams
of dimensions up to 60 cm x 60 cm (24’’
x 24’’).
It has to run on rails. The track width is adjustable, which makes the molder fit on most
brands of band sawmills, e.g. LT10 and LT15.
For Lennartsfors, which has significantly
narrower rail width, you need an adaptor to
make it fit, but the adaptor is for free. The
cutter head is 410 mm (16”) wide and laterally adjustable. You can use both planing
and molding knives The planing knives are
included. The knife sets in the current price
list include the knife gibs. You do not have to
remount knives between machining the upper
and lower side of the log. There are two models: Environmentally friendly petrol engine
and 3-phase electric motor.
The chip hose and the power cable are held
in place by the wire that is suspended between
the posts. The wire kit is also compatible with
the chip duct of the bandsaw and with the
trailer kit.

With a board edger you will significantly
increase your production, no matter if you
have a Logosol Sawmill, a band sawmill
or a circular sawmill. Handling timber
becomes more efficient and rational when
finishing roughedged boards in a separate
machine. Set the desired width and send
the timber through the edger. A quick
and easy operation.
Patented Design
Its design, with one circular sawblade coming
from above and one from the machine table,
gives a controlled sawing process. The project
board is pressed against a long straight edge
after the fixed sawblade. This aligns the board
and gives very straight cuts.
Unlimited width of the workpiece
The circular sawblades can be laterally adjusted from 30 to 210 mm, but the workpiece can
be much wider than that. When the machine
is open on one side of the machine table, there
is really no limit to how wide boards you can
edge.
We think that this twin-blade board edger
is the missing piece for you as a small-scale
sawyer, the missing piece that will help you
work efficiently.
Energy Efficient
The board edger is primarily used for edging
boards that come from the outer parts of the
log, and they are normally under 30 mm.
By limiting the cutting height, you can use
smaller circular sawblades and motors. This
gives low operating current, which can be of
great importance when running your sawmill

The integrated feeder consists of two big serrated feed rollers, which both pull in and feed

The Logosol Combi Grinder sharpens all
types of saw chains and the majority of
bandsaw blades. The mechanism is run
by compressed air. The design is both
sturdy and user-friendly, and the result
is a more accurate and even tool grinding.
Vibration-free sharpening
The automatic sharpener Combi Grinder
has its natural place in all businesses that
offer sharpening of harvester chains, for example. A unique advantage is that it can be
equipped with an accessory for sharpening
bandsaw blades.
To get a perfect sharpening process, there
is a belt transmission between the motor and
the grinding disc, which takes away any vibration. The machine is easy to use with a
default proportion between tooth depth and

PH260 – a small planing mill
Four-cutter planer for small businesses or the serious DIY enthusiast
Producing panelling and moldings from
sawn lumber is a simple and profitable
way to refine wood. Logosol PH260
planes and molds four sides at once.
You can quickly and easily produce all
imaginable standard and custom-made
moldings. As it is easy to reset the cutters, PH260 is perfect for short customized series.
One difference between PH260 and traditional multi-cutter planers is that the upper cutter
and lower cutter are suspended in both ends.
Due to this, the machine is extremely stable,
even though it has considerably wider cutters
than most large planers. The machine table,
where the lower cutter and the side cutters are
fitted, is made of heavy cast iron. The machine
chassis is made of 4 mm (5/32”) sheet steel.
It doesn’t get any smoother
It is impossible to see any difference between
a board that is machined in Logosol’s planer/
molder and one machined in an industrial
machine costing tens of thousands. The only

difference is that the more expensive machine
is faster. With PH260 you can machine about
1600 linear feet per hour. With a large industrial machine the output is several yards per
hour. Logosol’s two year warranty also applies
to machines that is used for continuous industrial operation. The reliability of PH260 is
very high due to thermoguards that prevents
each of the five electric motors from being
overloaded
A wide range of moldings
PH260 can handle everything from timber
beams to picture frames. You can choose from
a wide range of standard molding knives or
order your own custom-made knives. Both
standard and specially designed molding
knives are reasonably priced.
Cut deeply
The cutters can handle sizeable depths. This
makes it possible to cut deep and beautiful
patterns. PH260 also has a remarkable capacity when it comes to poorly sawn lumber. The
upper cutter can plane to a depth of 8 mm
(3/8’’), plus the molding depth, in one single
operation, and the side cutters can cut even
more.
Use other cutter system
When delivered, the planer/molder is ready for
squaring. It is set up with HSS planing knives
in the upper and lower cutters, and 50 mm
(2”) HSS planing knives in the side cutters.
The 30 mm (1 3/16’’) spindle diameter of the
side cutters enables you to choose from a number of other cutter systems that are available
on the market today.

PH360 – industry in sleek format
A stable four-head planer/moulder for
professional production. This completely new machine has its place in environments such as woodworking shops, timber yards, homebuilding facilities and,
naturally, in the construction trade. One
and the same machine can mould everything from fine trim work to timber
blocks with outstanding results.
The powerful cast iron table is the heart of the
machine, guaranteeing vibration-free operation. It is bolted onto a stable steel base with
solid foundation support. The bottom cutter,
side cutters and integrated feeder tables are
set into the cast iron table. The top cutter and
feed rollers sit in a separate support that is also
integrated into the cast iron table by way of
oversized trapezoidal bars.
Changes size according to material
If you are planing small materials, such as panels and strips, the top cutter support lays close
down to the table. If you want to feed in fiveinch housing timber, the top cutter support
shifts to a higher position above the table, and
the machine changes height both internally
and externally. The machine can shift up to
9”(230 mm) in height!
It is often a good idea to try to get started

quickly with production when you get your
machine home. PH360 essentially requires
nothing more than a good chip extractor before you can get started with your first piece
of work. You can even mount it on wheels.
But this is a machine that is meant to have a
system built around it. The feeder tables are
at a set height so they are easy to extend and
adapt to manage the massive volumes of wood
the machine is capable of processing. Having
a fixed hose system for chip management also
makes for a significant improvement. Keep
things organised, clean and straight, and then
you’ll keep your productivity up!

comes to roughness.
Sufficient capacity
All the settings you need can be found on
the same side of the machine, which means
that the machine can be set up close to a wall,
thereby saving space. The handles that set
height and width have gauges, so you can easily read off measurements down to a fraction.
The lever for rapid setting of the straight
guide is easily accessible from the feed table,
and therefore also close to the control panel.
There is a separate start, stop and lamp for
each cutter and for the feeder unit. There is
also an extra button for your chip extractor so
that the entire process can be controlled from
where you are standing. We knocked off the
entire wish list in one go!
Each of the machine’s cutters has its own
large motor, sufficient for every imaginable
type of processing of every possible type of
wood. Feed rate is continuously adjustable up
to 98 ft/min(30 meters a minute). A realistic
feed rate for one person to handle is around
20 ft/min(6 meters per minute), while two
people can handle a speed of approximately
49 ft/min(15 metres a minute) to keep up a
smooth work tempo. The machine can run
on a 60-amp electrical supply. Keep in mind
that power is also drawn by the blower, so
you should also have a 40-amp supply for the

DH410 – planer with
a width of 410 mm
Logosol DH410 has a lot in common
with our PH260. The machine is built
on the same principles and most of its
components are the same as PH260’s,
which means that it is a very stable
machine with a cast-iron machine table and separate motors for each cutter
and the feeder. Both the machines also
have the same type of knives and cutter
heads.
The difference is that DH410 works with two
cutters instead of four. Four-sided planing is
made by running the board twice through the
machine, while you only machine the board
once when planing and dimensioning two
sides up to a width of 310 mm and a height
of 100 mm.
The DH410 is primarily bought by customers who want a machine that can produce
the same result as a four-sided planer/moulder,
but can accept that the production takes a
little more time. One advantage of the DH410
when compared with the PH260 is that you
get a reliable planer with a width of 410
mm. Some of our customers have rebuilt the

The Soloplaner has become much appreciated
by woodworkers and sawmill owners. The
possibility of resawing and moulding in one
single operation has solved a lot of problems
and saved many working hours.
The forerunner, the Soloplaner SH230, has
been a great success since its introduction over
10 years ago. It has been much appreciated
for its versatility and simplicity, which make
it almost indispensable once you have experienced its benefits. In the successor, Logosol
has taken the sawing and planing functions
to a new level, which is even better suited for
bigger projects and all types of woodworking
workshops with high standards.
Resaw through Thick and Thin
Originally, the machine was built for dimensioning of planks and boards in one pass. The
timber gets planed to the set thickness at
the same time as it gets resawn to the right
width. This function is spot on and feels indispensable in all building projects once you

and wet wood without any problems with
feeding it through.
A Safe Resaw
The machine can also be used as a resaw without the planing function. The Soloplaner has
attracted much attention from the building
trade, since it eliminates the operation that
causes most serious hand injuries at construction sites, namely the use of a resaw. When
using the Soloplaner, the workpiece is quickly and safely fed through the machine and is
with accuracy resawn into the set dimensions.
Quarter Rounds from Boards
Use the full potential of the machine and fit
moulding knives in the cutter head. You can
resaw, square, plane and mould at the same
time! Examples of products that can be made
in one single operation are quarter rounds,
floor decking and some mouldings. More
advanced mouldings like panelling or crown
mouldings can require two or more goes
through the machine. You can even produce
wide floor boards with tongue and groove!
Professionally Sturdy
The machine is built around a sturdy cast iron
table that is suspended by trapezoidal bars in
the steel chassis, which stands firmly on the
ground. A 5 hp motor runs both the cutter head
and the circular sawblade. The feeder is run by
a separate motor with bevel gear. The heavy design with vibration absorbing cast iron ensures
accurate resawing and a perfect planing result.
Adapt the Machine to the Business
The machine is ready to use in its basic design,
the circular sawblade and the planing knives are
fitted and set so you can quickly get started with
your production, but there are already a number
of accessories for the machine. Extra side stops
and extension tables for the in- and out-feed side,

Keep sharp with the
Tormek method
The grinding stone revolves slowly, no more
than around 100 rpm, dipping into a water
bath as it does so. It has everything needed
to ensure perfect sharpening! All jigs and
accessories fit both the T-7 and T-3. We
recommend the Tormek T-7 if you need to
sharpen HSS steel for Logosol’s machines,
as its bigger motor can deal with higher
grinding pressures. Both models have highquality motors and shafts made of stainless
steel. T3 has a strong plastic stand, and the
stand for the T7 is made of steel plate.

JOINTER/PLANER H410

A jointer/planer is the base of the joinery
shop. When you are jointing or planing
the timber you are laying the basis for
the following work. The better planer,
the better final result you will get. So,
this is a machine that is well worth going in for.
Logosol’s jointer/planer is built the same way
as the professionals’ many times more expensive machines. It has precision-processed machine tables of cast iron, a stable side fence and
double motors. Here you find the power to
joint and plane the hardest sorts of wood.
Heavy precision in a compact format
With the help of a lever the front jointer table
can quickly be adjusted for a cutting depth of
between 0 and 10 mm. The rear jointer table
can be micro-adjusted. The table is fully 310
mm wide, which allows jointing of wide and
thick timber. The side fence is very stable and
can be adjusted from 0 to 45 degrees. Since
you do not have to alter the machine between

the machine to keep its settings. Other planers
have to be altered between jointing and planing operation. With this jointer/planer you
do not have to fold away the jointer table or

lot of time, and at the same time you get outstanding precision and capacity.

To start with, you have a perfect jointer/planer,
but it is also equipped with a side cutter. The
construction is completely unique. You plane
the width and thickness in one single operation. With the side cutter you can also mould
the timber. This means that you can make
tongued and grooved flooring, for instance.
When you are using the machine as a moulder,
you machine the timber twice in order to process the workpiece on all four sides. Compare
this with a standard jointer/planer or a vertical
milling machine, in which you have to machine the workpiece at least four times.
The efficiency and the precision increase dramatically when using the multi-planer instead
of a traditional jointer/planer or a vertical
milling machine. The reason for this is that
the workpiece first is machined on two sides
by the jointing operation, and then it can be
planed and mould on the remaining two sides
in one single operation. This is of great use to
you if you, for example, are producing joinery
components.
You do not need any extra floor space, since
you at a reasonable price get both efficiency
and several valuable operations in one and the
same machine. Due to this the multi-planer

So, you can mount two additional knives when
you want an extra fine surface finish. Normally, the two additional knife slots are used for
moulding knives. Even though the maximum
protrusion of a moulding knife in the horizontal cutter is 2 mm, it is possible to produce
several different profiles on the plane side of
the workpiece.
Reliable feeding
In its standard design the machine is equipped
with two ribbed steel rollers in front of the
cutter and a rubber roller on the out-feed side.
If required, the machine can be equipped with
only rubber rollers. A separate motor runs the
feed rollers via a robust chain transmission,
which gives a very reliable feeding. A steplessly adjustable feeding is available as an option.
The entire machine is built around the
heavy cast iron table to give as high stability and durability as possible. The machine’s
simple but robust design makes it secure and

Dimensioning Saw PS315
An extremely stable dimensioning saw with high precision.
Every hobby joiner who has a table saw
knows that the saw does not always deliver the expected precision. At the same
time, everyone who has bought boards
or laminates sawn by a professional
knows the value of millimetre precision and straight edges with even surfaces. The pros use dimensioning saws
that cost as much as a new car. Logosol’s
dimensioning saw gives exactly the
same results, but at a considerably lower
price.
Logosol’s dimensioning saw is in the main
built from one single piece of sturdy cast iron,
which gives excellent stability and vibration
damping. The precision-processed saw table,
next to the circular saw blade, goes down under the sliding table, which means that all
parts that affects the sawing are connected to
the cast iron table. The table is supported by a
firm steel-sheet under frame.
The heavy and stable sliding table runs on
sixteen tempered steel balls with the impressive diameter of 19 mm. The balls run in

tempered steel tracks in an aluminium profile, which is firmly bolted to the cast iron.
This design gives a stable and almost unreal
smooth movement, even in the dustiest environments.
Saw blade and fence
The circular saw blade can be precision adjusted both in height and angle (0-45 degrees). It
is vibrationlessly run by a quality motor of 3
kW via a Poly-V belt. When maximally loaded the motor delivers nearly 6 kW.
The resaw fence, which runs along a steel
bar, has micro-adjustment for fine-tuning the
width in tenths of a millimetre. The fence can
be mounted standing or lying, depending on
the height of the workpieces to be sawn. The
angle fence on the sliding table can be mounted on both sides of the table, so that you can
choose between pushing the workpiece with
the fence or pushing the workpiece against the
fence. All sawing angles are, of course, adjustable.
The dimension saw PS315 comes completely equipped with a universal saw blade
of 315 mm, a stable SUVA guard for the saw
blade, an extension table for the sliding table
and the out-feed table. There is a chip extractor connection under the saw blade, and also
the blade guard can be connected to a chip
extractor. As accessories there are additional
extension tables for the sliding table, clamping devices and saw blades suitable for different purposes.

THE FLOORING FACTORY
We have what you need, starting from the log right to the end T&G
Formerly, you had to have expensive
industrial machines for producing
mouldings and wood flooring. Logosol
changed this 15 years ago when introducing the first planer/ moulder that
was reasonably priced.
The result you get is at least as good as the
products the DIY store offers. But – if you
want to produce wood flooring of the highest
class there are two unsolved problems:
• Wood flooring has to be dried down to
a moisture level of 10-12 percent. Air drying takes a long time and the timber can get
warped and crack.
• Today there is no good small-scale method
for rationally producing tongue and groove
on the
ends of
the flooring boards.
Here is the news from Logosol that will
solve the problems:
• Fence with clamps and moulding knives
for producing end tongue and groove in
MF30. Put two boards together so that their
top sides face each other.. Then you mill both
simultaneously, and you get the exact same
result each time. The knife also makes the
edges beveled.
• The Sauno kiln. It dries the timber using high temperature and steam, exactly as
the compartment kilns at the large sawmills.
The method is also called relax drying. A welltried construction that has been on the market
for almost 20 years. You can only get a genuine
wood feeling from a solid wood floor. Now you
can make the floor yourself.

– Belongs in a class by itself
The efficiency and the operational reliability of Logosol Laks frame saw make it belong in a class by itself. For
20 years the frame saw has become more and more improved, not by adding more technology and more smart
functions, but by making small adjustments to the frame angle, the flywheel and the mechanical feeding. This
has rather led to the machine becoming more genuine.
T
he heart in the frame saw is the frame
with up to twenty sawblades that are
pulled up and down with a balanced flywheel as a counterweight. The frame, the flywheel and the mechanical feeding work in perfect harmony, and this can be observed when it
is sawing. The sound level is low and reminds
of a puffing steam locomotive.
Many small-scale sawyers who today use a
circular sawmill, a band sawmill or a Logosol
Sawmill can reach industrial capacity with the
help of the Logosol Laks frame saw.
The logs should be sawn on two sides before they are fed into the Logosol Laks frame
saw so that the timber is edged before it is cut
into boards. This gives a controlled process
and minimal handling of the timber. Without
ado the cants are turned into sawn products.
Pleasant on the working site
The environment around the sawmill is pleasant. It is neat and tidy. What little sawdust
that comes from the thin blades, is transported
away by a relatively small sawdust extractor.
An additional nozzle vacuums the top side of
the cant so that the boards become completely
clean after they have been sawn.
The Logosol Laks frame saw relentlessly
works away, without interruption or trouble,

hour after hour. To keep it working, the sawn
boards have to be carried away, and a new cant
has to be sawn within only a few minutes. In
practice, the Logosol Laks frame saw is, despite
the low feeding speed, in almost every case the
quickest on the working site.
The blades are replaced quickly
After 8-10 hours of operation, or after about
100 logs, the tungsten-carbide toothed sawblades are to be removed from the frame and
then sharpened with the sharpening machine
that always comes with the Logosol Laks frame
saw.
The blades are mounted in fixed positions
in a comb-shaped holder. This is an excellent
system, which makes replacing blades a quick
operation and ensures that the blades always
come in exactly correct position. The entire
procedure takes less than 20 minutes.
All Logosol Laks are powered by an 11 kW
electric three-phase motor. The model 330 can
also manage on 7.5 kW. If you do not have
access to electricity, all the models can be run
by a 23 hp, environmentally friendly combustion engine. Here we have maybe the world’s
highest capacity per used energy mass; around
500 linear metres/litre of fuel or, with electricity, 100 linear metres/kWh.
The first really efficient sawmills were
frame sawmills. In former times they
did not have the possibility of building a
saw and then equip it with a suficiently
strong motor. Instead, they had to content
themselves with the energy a water wheel
could deliver. The frame saw is a superior
construction that with minimal efficiency
losses and without interruption cuts the
logs.
That this is environmentally friendly is
obvious. In addition, it does not require any
extraordinary installations or fuses. For some
people this is just a matter of saving money,
but in many places around the world it is a
prerequisite.

Overall, this is a good investment both in
the short and the long run. The Logosol Laks
frame saw is cheap to install and it has high
productivity from the first moment. Due to
the sturdy construction and the smooth running, it does not offer many surPrice (£)es. The

STACK CUTTER PK1500
Cut board stacks cost-effectively – with impressive precision
The stack cutter cross-cuts board stacks
with great accuracy. The 150, 135 or 120
cm long guide bar is steered by the bar
nose holder. The chain is an standard
3/8” cross-cut chain driven by our powerful 5 kW, 3-phase electric motor E5000.
In line with Logosol’s philosophy, we have examined a function that earlier cost a fortune
to accomplish, and produced a smaller and
lighter solution. In this case a stack cutter that
takes the cut linearly vertically, a feature that
normally only found in larger industrial machines. The advantages of cutting linearly is
that the capacity significantly increases both
as regards sawing speed and the size of the
board stack. Logosol’s stack cutter has a relatively low weight since it is mainly made of
aluminium. Three large wheels make it easy to
move the machine by hand. One of the wheels
is adjustable in height, and with the help of
fixed sight the cut can be aligned. With the
stack cutter comes a 2 m long measuring rod,
which is a good means of measuring the length

of the stack.
Why spend time cutting the boards one by
one? With Logosol’s stack cutter you cut the
entire board stack at once. Just adjust it to the
desired length and then let the stack cutter do
the job, quickly and efficiently. What used to
take a whole day can now be done in half an
hour; what used to take an entire week you can
accomplish in half a day. It is easy, it is fun and
you can spare time for doing other things.
If you regularly cut large amounts of timber
into length, the easiest way is to do it with a
stack cutter. It saves time. You are also spared
from monotonous tasks that strain your body.

– templates for building with plank timber
POTTING SHED, SAUNA, WOODSHED, garden
cabin or garage. Building with plank timber is a
very quick method that provides finished inner
and outer walls for simple structures. With the
right equipment you can construct the framework for a small cabin – in a single day!
The Linus System provides templates to make
things simple. The process is very quick and
produces tight seals. A hand router is used to
produce the saddle in the side of the timber, the
notch is sawn out and the corners are bevelled

When working with the Logosol Sawmill, you spend about half the time rolling timber to the sawmill and taking
care of the sawn timber. Consequently,
we saw an opportunity to considerably
increase the daily output with an improved equipment for handling logs.
Whenever you are going to roll or turn a log,
no matter if it is on the Logosol Sawmill, in the
forest or on the timber stack, this tool will really
do itself justice. Comparing ordinary cant hooks
with the log turner is the same as comparing the
adjustable spanner with a reversible ratchet. You
keep the log in a firm grip through the whole
process, which makes it impossible for the log

Maximize the output
Many of Logosol’s machines have motors that run at maximum output. This means demanding requirements in

To check if a cable is in good condition,
the current must be measured by an ammeter
at full load. It is not sufficient to measure if
there is voltage in the glove.
When the function of a cable is impaired,
the machine can generally still be used, but
the output is reduced, the motor gets hotter
and the risk of the electronics breaking down

increases considerably.
Unprotected cables can often be damaged
if run over by a vehicle. On hard surfaces
stones can be pressed in, and on soft surfaces
the cable can be stretched out between the
tyres. In both cases the cable gets damaged.
If you are uncertain of the cable’s condition –
replace it!

Universal Oil
This releasing oil is primarily used for cleaning
and preservation. It dissolves dirt and rust, drives
out moisture and leaves a protecting film after
the solvent has evaporated. It is not actually a
lubricant, but it is a must for correct maintenance of the machines.

heads, shafts and other parts
that are not rust protected.
Lubrication of chains that
have stiffened.
Cleaning and winter preservation.

the friction discs of the electric
feeder.

Super Flo
A really Hi-tech lubricant. The surface becomes
drier and smoother than when using
ordinary oil, which is a good quality
in dusty environments. Super Flo
can be used on the planer tables
to give smoother feeding through
the machine. In addition, the
teflon does not affect the surface
of timber that is to be painted.

Silbergleit is a proven lubricant for wood processing machines, used by industry and trade users as

Plano is a glue press clamp used to make panels
by gluing together battens or boards. As the
name implies, these come out completely flat
thanks to the smart design that aligns the panel
at the same time as the glued joints are pressed
together. The wall mounting feature also makes

if you want to make really wide panels. Panel
