BACKGROUND TO NEW “WORLD OF CARS” ASSORTMENT
World of Cars is an umbrella franchise under which Disney will
include cars, planes, and other transportation related properties.
Disney Cars will retire in December 2013 to be replaced with the new
assortment, World of Cars.

• Disney’s films on “Cars” (2006 & 2011) “Planes” (2013) and “Fire
and Rescue” (2014) are brand extensions to The World of Cars
• “Planes,” the first in a series of films from DisneyToon Studios,
released August, 2013; “Fire and Rescue” will release July, 2014;
2015 may feature boats (TBD).
• Assortment can be periodically refreshed. New films offer a wealth
of new characters, adventures and locations.
• Stories will introduce an entirely original and hilarious crew of high
flying daredevils from every corner of the globe.

including Disney Channel’s Sophia the First, Minnie’s Boutique, and
Jake and the Neverland Pirates
• Disney Jr. premiered as a block of TV shows on Disney Channel February 14, 2011
• Programs received the highest rated year in 4Q with Kids 2-5, Girls 2-5, Women 18-49
• Sophia the First: Once Upon a Princess broke cable TV records
• Two-thirds of all preschool kids (66%) watched the Disney Junior block during the 4 th Q
• Disney Junior Online received 48.9 million total video on demand orders in 4Q12
• Disney Junior achieves an above average Q score of 41 with moms of kids 2-5 (avg. category
Q score = 24), ahead of Sprout (38) and Nick Jr. (31)
• For the first year ever, Disney Junior beat Nick in head-to-head preschool hours with K2-5 by
+2% in ratings
• Disney Junior has over 288K fans on Facebook to date
