CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION
Accreditation
The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.®, Office of Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council
for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
CME Credits
The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.®, Office of Education designates this educational activity up to a
maximum of 12.5 Category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours
of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Disclosure Statement
As a sponsor accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Education (AACME), the American Urological Association Education
and Research, Inc.®, Office of Education must insure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in all its sponsored educational
activities. All faculty members participating in a CME accredited, sponsored program are expected to disclose to the audience any
significant financial interest or relationships with commercial supporters. The intent of this disclosure is not to prevent a speaker with a
significant financial or other relationship from making a presentation, but rather to provide listeners with information on which they can
make their own judgments. It remains for the audience to determine whether the speaker’s interest or relationships may influence the
presentation with regard to exposition or conclusion. When unlabeled uses are discussed, they are also indicated.
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The Joint Annual Meeting of the Northeastern and New England Sections of the American Urological Association, Inc. is designed to
provide a forum for communicating to the members and guest physicians the developing state and the art of science of urological
techniques, evaluations and procedures. The program will include original papers presenting new information addressing pertinent
clinical topics. Panel discussions and point-counterpoint sessions on topical issues allow for participants to openly discuss procedure
and techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss presentations and address questions to authors. At the completion of
the Joint Annual Meeting, participants should be able to apply this new information on research and techniques in their daily practice.

7:45 AM: Depart Fairmont to the Dockyards
8:30 PM – 12:30 PM: Nonsuch Island Tour
12:30 PM: Depart Dockyards to the Fairmont
In 1951, the world’s scientific community was stunned by an announcement from a small island off the coast of Bermuda. The Cahow, a
bird that was thought to have been extinct for more than 300 years, had been re-discovered on a 15-acre island called Nonsuch. This
island became a global example of ecological restoration. Board the R/V Stommel, a 40' research vessel, and take a 45 minute ride to
Nonsuch Island. Once ashore, you will hear an introductory talk about the island's history and then enjoy a tour of the various habitats on
the island, with much discussion of the Cahow bird and its recovery from near extinction. Don't forget to take advantage of the many photo
opportunities and gorgeous scenery! You will end the walking tour at the beach dunes, where those who are brave enough are welcome to
take a swim.
COST: $78.00 per person (Please note that a portion of this fee goes to the Nonsuch Island Preservation Fund)
Minimum of 12 guests/ Maximum of 24 guests
IMPORTANT: Access to the Island requires some agility. There are also several flights of stairs and the terrain is quite rough in
places. Sneakers are suggested.
