Begins with ….
HOLIDAY PARADE WITH SANTA
Meet at 1st Ave NW and Main Street. Children will light the
way as the Austinaires, Santa Claus, and a cast of holiday
characters march from the corner to the Town Center stage
to light the downtown Christmas displays. Free glow sticks
will be distributed to children by Chamber Ambassadors.
See “Bruiser” the Austin Bruins Mascot, Merry Elf and
other holiday characters walking the streets throughout the
night!
KICKOFF ACTIVITIES
•Free Photos with Santa by Mary Landherr Photography;
located in the Town Center Building. Candy cane treats for
the kids.
•Live Entertainment on Stage, including the Austinaires,
Taylor Bliese and our emcee; Jerry Girton. Songs from the
Pacelli Choir’s, “Swinging Into Christmas” show.
Sound provided by Imagery Sound.
• Horse-drawn Sleigh Rides.
•Captain Kirby Train Rides.
•Musical Entertainment in Town Center including the
The North Star Brass Quartet, the Austin High School
Student Ensemble and Ecumenical Bell Ensemble. Plus, the
magic of Jim Jayes.
•Free Hot Chocolate & Cheese samples donated by the
Dairy Association and served by Mower County Dairy
Princesses, in the Martial Arts building.
•Free Face Painting by Matchbox Theatre located in the
Martial Arts building.
•Christmas at the Paramount, 7:30 p.m. Jane Taylor
Academy of Dance “Christmas Show” with scenes from the
Nutcracker Suite. Come warm up with us! $1 donation
requested to the Paramount Fund.
•Donut Connection: Stop in for a FREE scoop of ice cream
or free cup of coffee.
•Yoga Studio of Austin, Free treats & crafts for the kids!
Coupons for yoga classes & massages for the adults!
Merry Elf, a magical, colorful personality will light up
the downtown area from 5:30-7:30 p.m. handing out
treats to the children.

VISIT WITH KAUS RADIO PERSONALITIES LIVE
Starting November 18 and running through December 20; DJ’s
will be broadcasting from the Bradley bank building, corner of
Main street and Second Ave, inside one of Austin’s most unique
commercial buildings. We’re promoting a silent auction for the
Austin ArtWorks Center and having a coloring contest for the
kids. We will have featured guests 9 a.m.– 3 p.m. MondayFriday throughout the holiday season. Stop in, take a break; say
“Hi” and join the conversation on KAUS AM 1480 Radio, the
“Voice of Mower County.”

the Austin Area Art Center will be having their annual art and
