Advertising must be direct to the consumer, for one or more stores situated in the state of Wisconsin and/or the Upper Peninsula, having the same name or identification and offering a similar service under a single ownership or control. B. The rates also apply to advertising of public consumer services, charitable organizations, established community welfare services, civic programs and political advertising. C. General rates apply to wholesalers, distributors, franchisers, manufacturers, gasoline and oil producers, utilities, air and cruise lines, national media networks, interstate transportation companies, telecommunications, mail order and other advertisers not clearly identified with regular retail channels. D. For position requests please refer to the retail revenue rate grid. In no event will adjustments, reinsertion or refunds be made because of the position in which an advertisement has been published. No orders accepted on a position or omit basis. E. Adjustments for errors will be made only for the area of the ad involved and in proportion to lack of service to the advertiser. On multiple insertions, credit for errors will not be given after the first insertion. Advertising placed on a no-proof basis, including alterations submitted after deadline, is done at the advertiser’s risk. Claims regarding errors in an advertisement must be made within thirty days of publication. Claims regarding billing errors must be made within 60 days of the date in question. All make-good ads must be run within thirty days of approval. Not liable for unpublished ads. (Ads not published) F. Unused composition, excessive correc- tions and late alterations are charged at regular production rate schedule. A maximum of 2 proofs are issued without additional charges. Advertising cancelled after final reservation/cancellation deadline will be charged at 25% of regular space rates. G. Tearsheets will be issued via email in electronic format. H. Publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertisement at anytime. K. The advertiser agrees to indemnify and hold the newspaper harmless for any claims arising out of the publication of copy submitted by the advertiser. The newspaper will not be liable for failure to publish any advertisement. L. Advertising contracts and rates are for individual local advertisers. The newspaper does not accept local brokered advertising. M. All retail display advertising expenditures listed on page 3 of this rate card are credited toward fulfillment of the advertiser’s investment commitment contract. These dollars are net dollars, after all discounts, credits and advertising agency commissions have been deducted. N. Incorrect rates on insertion orders that do not correspond with the current rate card in effect, will be regarded as clerical errors. The advertisement will be published and charged at the applicable rates in effect at time of publication. O. Claims for adjustment, refund or reinsertion are not allowed because coupon advertisements have been published back to back. P. The newspaper will not be responsible for advertiser’s material left thirty days after publication. Q. Rates are subject to revision. Contract advertisers will be informed by letter 30 days prior to any changes in or additions to this rate card. R. It is a violation of both Federal and Wisconsin State law to use a complete rendering of the current American Flag in any form of printed advertising. Older versions, such as the original 13 star flag, are acceptable. The current flag, however, maybe partially rendered as long as all 50 stars and 13 stripes are not visible. The statutes governing the flags use are: Title 36, U.S. Code 173184 and Wisconsin Statute 946.6. U.
