Crouch, 53, of
Mechanicsville, passed
suddenly on September 17,
2013. She was a long-time
employee with Colonial
Body and Paint. Paige never
met a stranger, her home
was always open to
everyone and she was a
friend to everyone.
Surviving are sons, Travis
and Chris Koegler; sisters,
Shelia (Dean) Simmons and
Teresa (Michael) Sutton;
brothers, Tracy (Debbie)
Crouch, all of
Mechanicsville, and Danny
(Gail) Clark of King and
Queen; her faithful,
adventurous companion,

Charlie and Christopher.

Mechanicsville Chapel of
Bennett Funeral Home.

96, entered the house of
the Lord on September 15,
2013. She was born to the
late Spencer and Lucy
Smith on October 22, 1916
in Richmond, Va. She was a
1934 graduate of
Armstrong High School and
worked at Consolidated
Cigar until its closure. As a
long-time employee of the
Government Services
Administration, she retired
from her custodial duties at
the Richmond Federal
Courts Building in 1981.
Clarice was preceded in
death by her brothers, Ed
Richardson and Harold
Smith; brother-in-law,
Oscar Turner Sr.; and
daughter-in-law, Mavis J.
She leaves to cherish her
precious memory, her son,
Frank H. Jr.; daughter, Faye
O.; sister, Rose Mae Turner;
grandson, Frank H. III;
granddaughter, Bridget L.;
many nieces, a nephew,
and a host of other
relatives and friends.

COOKE, Charles P. Jr.,
94, passed away
September 4, 2013. Charles
was the son of Charles P.
and Florence A. Cooke. He
was preceded in death by
his wife, Lois W. Cooke; and
is survived by his three
sons, Charles P. Cooke III
and his wife, Joanne, of
Wilmington, Del., Ronald L.
Cooke of Gloucester and
Michael R. Cooke and his
wife, Deborah, of
Richmond; grandchildren,
Robin C. Gordon, Charles P.
Cooke IV, Theresa C.
Petruziello, Jennifer C.
Pugh, Christine C. Masiak,
Benjamin D. Cooke, Daniel
S. Cooke, Alissa K. Cooke
and Letitia A. Cooke; and 16
great-grandchildren. Mr.
Cooke was a choral music
teacher in Richmond City
Schools at Binford Junior
High and Chandler Junior
High, then at John Marshall
High School (1960-1970).
He finished his teaching
career at the Collegiate
Schools. He was organist
and choirmaster at All
Saints Episcopal Church
(1952-1988) and at St.
Paul’s Episcopal Church,
Hanover (1989-2006). Mr.
Cooke was a lifelong
member of the Richmond
Musicians Association,
Local 123, AFM, playing for
many years in various
dance bands, for cotillions,
etc. and as an organist for
Bennett Funeral Homes. For
many years he was a
volunteer at St. Mary’s
Hospital. Since 2008 he
had been a resident at
Westminster Canterbury,
Richmond, Va. A memorial
service will be held 2 p.m.
Friday, September 20, in
the Chapel at Westminster
Canterbury. The family will
receive friends from 5 to 7
p.m. Friday, September 20,
at the Central Chapel of
Bennett Funeral Home,
3215 Cutshaw Ave. A
memorial service will be
held 1 p.m. Saturday,
September 21, at St. Paul’s
Episcopal Church, Hanover
Courthouse. Interment will
follow in the church
