Tillie Catherine Fuller
Fulbright, 81, a resident of
Greensboro died Wednesday March 26 at Beacon
Place. Mrs. Fulbright was
born August 4,
1932 in
Guilford
County the
daughter of
Jesse Anderson and
Alice Grey
Hamm Fuller. She was employed
with the J.C. Penny Co. for
15 years until her health
began to decline. She was
a member of St. John’s
United Methodist Church.
On December 4, 1950
she was married to John
Edward Fulbright who
preceded her in death on
June 10, 1984. She was
also preceded in death by
her parents; one son, Mark
Edward Fulbright; four
sisters, Mary Carpenter,
Margie Lyman, Doris
Coltrane and Marie Morgan and four brothers,
Dewey, Burton, Cyrus and
Jesse Fuller.
Surviving are one
daughter, Debbie Garrett
and husband Les of
Greensboro; one son, Barry Fulbright of the home;
two grandchildren, Sharon
Garrett and fiance’ Tu
Holmes, Misty Solomon
and husband Darron and
four great grandchildren,
Bridgette Hatch and husband Curtis, Dylan
Carmany, Joshua
Carmany and Christopher
Solomon.
Funeral services will be
held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at the
Hanes-Lineberry Funeral
Home Sedgefield Chapel
conducted by the Reverend
Mike Collins. Interment
will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family
will receive friends at the
funeral home on Tuesday
from 1:00 pm until time of
the service.
The family would like to
thank Nettie, Paula, Billie,
Molly, Chris and Hospice
and Palliative Care staff
for the assistance and excellent care Tillie received
at home during her illness.

Wanda was born July 2nd,
1953. She is survived by

until 11:00 am, one hour

Arthur was from Kingstown, St. Vincent,
Grenadies. He is the father of six children and
had one step-daughter. In
addition to his children, he
leaves behind his significant other, Mary Clement
of the home.

positive words to say. She
loved to praise the Lord
worshipping with her First
Baptist Church family.
Most importantly she
cherished spending time
with her family.
Funeral service will be
Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 2
pm at First Baptist
Church on 508 Apple St,
Burlington, NC. The Rev.
Dray Bland will be officiating with Rev. Dr. Richard
Styles delivering the eulogy. Family visitation will
be one hour prior to the
service with the family arriving at 1:30 pm. Public
viewing will be Monday,
March 31, 2014 from 1 until 8 pm in the Roy Blackwell Chapel, Blackwell Funeral Home; at other
times, the family will greet
visitors and friends at the
residence. Burial will be at
North Lawn Cemetery,

Marie Walker Morgan, 92,
of Winston-Salem passed
away March 29, 2014. She
was born in Randolph
County to "Doc" and Julia
Hoover Walker.
She was
a wonderful mother,
grandmother, aunt
and friend.
Mrs.
Morgan
was a long
standing
member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.
She took pride in her
beautiful flowers; loving
family; and being the best
country cook. Her family
took great joy in spending
many happy hours around
her table eating and having fellowship with one another. She loved her music
and enjoyed playing the
piano for her friends and
fellow residents at Arbor
Acres.
Mrs. Morgan was dedicated to her family. Upon
leaving Western Electric,
she became a homemaker
and devoted her life to her
children and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband(s),
James Franklin Byrd and
Dwight Lindsay Morgan;
and a large family of
brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her
children, Laura Byrd
Leach (Matt), Bryan Byrd
(Tammy), and Danny
Octoviano (Vanessa);
grandchildren, Sarah
Leach, Kelsey Byrd, Jacob
Byrd, Brittany Lawson,
Danielle Brown, Michael
Octoviano, and Kenny
Briles; and numerous nieces and nephews that she
loved dearly and were the
light of her life.
A special thanks to her
friends and Monday lunch
buddies, Sue McCullah
and Becky Kindley.
The family would like to
extend a thank you to everyone who helped with
their mother’s care, including; Arbor Acres for the
many years of love and
care given to their mother;

"Frank" Franklin Rutledge, age 76 of 114 W.
Moore Street, Eden,
passed away suddenly on
Saturday March 29, 2014
at Lynchburg General
Hospital.
A graveside service will
be held 2 pm Tuesday in
the Meeks Section of
Woodlawn Cemetery.
Frank was born July 5,
1937 in Rockingham County to the late Andrew Martin Rutledge and Lillie
Barham Rutledge. He was
a member of Coolwell
Presbyterian Church in
Amherst, VA and attended
the First Wesleyan Church
in Eden. He was a retiree
of American Tobacco Company.
Preceding him in death
along with his parents was
a sister, Linda Gilley and
brother, Russell Wade
Rutledge and daughter,
Bonnie Rutledge.
Surviving is his wife,
Doris Adams Rutledge of
the home; daughters,
Rhonda Wright and husband Jeff , Dorinda "Kay"
Johnson and husband Ted
all of Eden; step-sons, David Wayne Adams and
wife Linda, Richard Lee
Adams and wife Annette
all of Amherst, VA.; sisters, Maxine Hudson, Jean
Carter, Patsy James, Carolyn Robinson, Dixie Edwards and Gail Powell; 8
grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren.
The family will receive
friends on Tuesday from
12 noon till 1:45 pm at
Fair Funeral Home before
proceeding to the cemetery. Other times the family will be at the home on

died unexpectedly on Friday, March 28th, 2014.
Brent was born in
Greensboro, NC on May 8,
1972.
He was
preceded in
death by
his grandparents;
Joe and
Mary Elizabeth
Gaines of
Bowling
Green, KY, Margaret and
Walter Sprange of Toronto, Canada and his beloved
aunt, Sharon Hatton also
of Toronto, Canada.
Brent served as a paramedic in Greensboro, NC
prior to attending the University of North Carolina
at Greensboro, where he
graduated cum laude in
Biology. Following UNCG,
he went to East Carolina
University to pursue his
career in medicine. For the
last 10 years, he practiced
as a Physician’s Assistant
in the Asheville, NC area.
Brent is survived by his
wife, Reeves Anthony
Sprange and two daughters, Lucy Gaines and Violet Elizabeth; his mother,
Rianna and George
Philpott; his father, Walter James Sprange and
Sheila Ramdewar, and his
brother Scott James
Sprange. He is also survived by his two step sisters; Sarah Coggins and
her husband, Trent, and
Mary Philpott and her
husband, Mark; his
parents-in-law Burwell
and Patt Anthony;
brother-in-law, Rob Anthony and his wife, Jen;
sister-in-law, Boyd Long
and her husband, Josh,
and many nieces and
nephews.
He will always be
known for the love he had
for his family, friends and
career. Brent was a devoted father and husband.
Reeves, Lucy Gaines and
Violet were the light of his
life. He was an amazing
story teller and the love he
exuded for his family and
friends was extraordinary.
He will be remembered for
his remarkable sense of
humor and fierce joy in
competition.
A funeral service will be
held at Central United
Methodist Church in Asheville, NC on Tuesday,
April 1st at 3 pm. Visitation with the family will
precede the service from
1:30-2:30 pm.

fund established for Lucy
Gaines and Violet in honor
of their father. For further
