FUNDED GRANTS
• In partnership with VALOR, a private Victim-Witness Assistance program organization
based in Washington, D.C., and our Victim's Certificate Program at California State
University-Fresno, we were awarded a $125,000. Department of Justice grant to establish
the first National Victim Assistance Training Academy in Washington, D.C. in August,
1995. This program provides advanced training to coordinators of victim-witness and
victim advocacy programs throughout the United States. Funding has continued for the
Academy every year since 1995.
• Undergraduate Fellowship Grant. Awarded by the Honors College at Ball State. I
worked with students designing and implementing a research project involving the study
of violent behavior. 1989-90.
