PREPARATIONS are underway for an
annual festival of art, culture and literature
for children.
Talent Scan 2012, which begins this

living in Bahrain, with various programmes
being organised every other day until
December 16.
The event is being organised by the Kerala
Catholic Association (KCA) and will take place
at its grounds in Segaiya, at 9pm. Participants
are divided into four age groups and children
born between September 30, 2007 and October
1, 1994 are eligible to apply.
The contest is divided into two categories of
events – Talent Test and Talent Nite.
The various Talent Test events include poetry recitation in Malayalam, English and Hindi,
drawing and painting, pencil drawing, storytelling in Malayalam and English, clay modelling, oral memory test, general knowledge as
well as speech in English and Malayalam.
The Talent Nite will feature Christian devotionals and film songs – both in Malayalam,
vocal Carnatic music, instrumental music,
bharathanatyam, folk dance, cinematic dance,
mono act and fancy dress.
The winners of first, second and third prizes
will be given trophies and certificates.
Group Championship Award will be given to
the one who gets the overall highest points in
each group with a minimum of one first prize
and an A grade.
Ever rolling trophy will be presented to the
Kalathilakam and Kalaprathibha award winners. The Natya Ratna Award will be given to
the topper in all dance events, Sangetha Ratna
Award for musical events, Kala Ratna Award
for art events and Sahitya Ratna Award will
be given to the top point achiever in the various categories.
