This March, IKEA is embracing classic
elegance with new products that take their
influence from the light and calm side of
traditional European design.
Old world glamour. Vintage inspired
textiles give this look a feeling of
timeless elegance.

This soft and sophisticated look is
characterised by lots of textiles with
vintage floral and soft checked patterns,
ornate lighting and mirrors as well as
gracefully curvy furniture in white and
pastel colours.

Taking their classic inspiration seriously,
many of our new textiles use specially
selected vintage patterns leased from
the Museum of Printed Textiles (Musée de
l’Impression sur Êtoffes) in Mulhouse, France.
HÅLLROT, PÄRLHYACINT and RÖDBINKA quilt
covers, along with the INGMARIE curtain and
HEDBLOMSTER cushion, combine modern
comfort and function with authentic patterns
from the museum’s historical collection.
Supporting the look are delicately featured
light fixtures and small collections of framed
collages and mirrors giving an overall feeling
of light and calm with a healthy dash of old
world glamour.
