Spring is a little slow coming this year so we have added a few more classes to help pass the
days until Spring actually arrives! Drop by and see the class samples that are on display.
We are planning a quilting retreat this spring to be held on May 23, 24 and 25 at the Stanley
bridge resort. Rhoda Moore will offer a “Cutwork table covering” workshop done on
embroidery machines for those embroidery machine fans that want to learn how to do more
with their machines. We will also have our own Joyce Doyle teaching a quilt workshop called
“Milky Way”; this is a great project to use up those 2 ½ inch strips that you have been saving.
Suzanne will be offering a Beginner friendly project, “As Time Goes By” a calendar cozy that
offers an embroidery option, machine appliqué option or simple piecing option. Workshop
spaces are limited so register early. Registration must be received by May 5th to be able to
attend the retreat.
We will be continuing with “Kids Sewing Club” which has changed to Monday afternoons
from 4:00 until 5:30pm. Embroidery Club will continue to meet once each month for those
interested in polishing their machine embroidery skills. Bring whatever project you want to work
on and Suzanne will help you in areas you are uncertain about. It’s a great chance to learn
more about your embroidery machine as well.
If a class requires that you purchase a pattern or book, it will be stated in the class description.
We offer a 10% discount on supplies used in our classes. In addition your purchases get
added to your Honey Bee Club. Not a member of the Club, just inquire at the shop and we will
get you signed up. Machines are provided for our classes free of charge.
All classes must be paid for at least one week in advance of the start date of class. A paid
registration holds your place in the class. If insufficient registrations cause us to cancel the
class, your class fee will be refunded. In the event you decide not to attend a class you have
registered for, and you do not contact us at least one week prior to the start of a class your
registration fee will not be refunded. We also ask that you refrain from wearing scented
products due to allergies. We look forward to having some fun with you at Quilting B & More
this winter.
