Description: Do you own a loom but don’t know how to use it? This is the class for you!
We’ll be learning techniques for warping, creating a balanced fabric, removing your
project from the loom, and finishing.
Homework and Supplies: Bring loom with 8 dent rigid heddle, warping peg, shuttles,
table clamps, threading hook, scissors, darning needle, loom instructions, 3 brown paper
grocery bags, and 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn. You will need approximately 200
yards of each color. We suggest Vintage or Comfort, 1 skein in light color and 1 skein in
dark color, or 1 solid and 1 variegated color.

foundation chain! Foundation stitches allow you to work the first row of stitches by
themselves and it results in a stretchy start that is perfect for garments. These are

Wrong! From keeping track of rows to flagging increases and mistakes, there are so
many ways stitch markers can make your knitting easier and faster. Let’s open up a
whole new world with these little plastic beauties. As an added bonus you will receive a
sampler package filled with different types of stitch markers and other useful counting
devices.

Description: Our beautiful shop sample is receiving rave reviews around the shop. This
cuddly sweater is exactly what you need as the weather turns cold. Heidi Kirrmaier hit
one out of the park with this sweater; it is a great knit and an even better fit. In this class
we will explore top-down raglan structure, stitch patterns, and pattern reading.
Homework and Supplies: The sample was made in Cascade Longwood, an aran
superwash merino. Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted is also an excellent yarn for this
garment. Please purchase your yarn, pattern and needles from the shop, and knit and
block your gauge swatch before the first class.

neglected when shopping for yarn and starting a project. In this class we will learn about

Description: Cabled Aran Sweaters are all over the runway this fall, but why not take the
trend a step further and make one for yourself? The cable pattern is enough to keep you
interested but simple enough to execute without too much attention. The gauge is large,
making this a fun as well as fast knit.
Homework and Supplies: Please bring a blocked stockinette gauge swatch at least 4"
square. You will need the book Vintage Modern Knits, yarn and needles to achieve
proper gauge, cable needle, stitch markers and holders, measuring tape, row counter,
tapestry needle, and scissors. The shop model is being knit with Berroco Remix.

Description: Knitting is a dynamic process between the yarn, the knitter, and the needles.
This class focuses on the needles! Are you curious about those new carbon fiber needles
or even the square ones? What is the deal with the sock sizes? All of these questions
and more will be answered in this class. Different needles can make your knitting tighter
or looser, and we will discuss why that might be necessary.
Homework and Supplies: You do not need to bring anything to this class, but please
come ready to knit.

Description: Everybody makes mistakes, but more experienced knitters know how to fix
them. In this class we will learn several different methods for fixing common mistakes, as
