enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when
correctly adhered to.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard.
• Before turning on, ensure the electrical voltage and frequency of the circuit
correspond to those indicated on the appliance.
• The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm people without
supervision.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• CAUTION: To prevent damage to the appliance, do not use alkaline cleaning agents
when cleaning; use a soft cloth and a mild detergent.

Do not touch hot surfaces.
To protect against the risk of electric shock, DO NOT IMMERSE any part of this
appliance in water or any other liquid.
DO NOT OVERFILL, as boiling water may overflow.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. The
appliance is not intended to be used by children or infirm people without
supervision. Never leave an appliance unattended when in use.
Switch off and remove the plug from the power outlet before cleaning or when
its not in use. To unplug, grasp plug and pull from power outlet. Never pull cord.
Never carry the appliance by the cord.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug after the appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces.
Do not place any part of this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or
in a heated oven.
Allow to cool completely before cleaning and storing away.
Operate on a level surface. Operating the Hot Dog Maker on sinks, drainboards
or uneven surfaces should be avoided.
Do not use outdoors.
When using an extension cord with your appliance make sure the extension cord
is correctly wired and rated for its use.
Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the appliance. There are no user
serviceable parts.

First time use
Before First Use
• Wash the lid and Steaming container in hot soapy water, rinse and dry
thoroughly.
• Wipe the Body and Heating Rod with a damp cloth or sponge.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE MACHINE IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID.
Operation
Cooking Frankfurters

Place the unit on a dry, level surface.
Pour appropriate amount of cold water into the Water Bowl. Water should only
be filled to the maximum water level mark.
Place the Steaming container on to the unit, over the Water Bowl.
Place the Frankfurters into the Steaming container.
Plug the unit into a 230 Volt electrical outlet and turn on.
Switch on the Indicator Switch at the front of the unit and the indicator light will
glow, indicating the Frankfurters are cooking.
It is recommended that no more than 6 standard Frankfurters are cooked at one
time.Cook the Frankfurters approx..6-8 minutes. This time will vary depending
on whether the Frankfurters were stored in a fridge, frozen, the number being
cooked at once and the size.
Carefully remove the Lid.
Using utensils, remove the Frankfurters and serve, with any type of sauce or
condiments.
Caution: After cooking cycle is complete, the Hot Dog Machine and the Frankfurters
will be hot. Use caution when handling.

Remember to switch off the appliance after using.
The number and size of the Frankfurters changes the required cooking time:
More Frankfurters cooked at one time increases the cooking time as well as
larger Frankfurters also increase cooking time.

Warming the Bun

Place the unit on a dry, level surface.
Pour cold water into the Water Bowl.
Pierce the bun onto Stainless Steel Rod.
Plug the unit into a 230 Volt electrical outlet.
Switch on the Indicator Switch at the front of the unit and the light will glow,
indicating that the bun is being heated.
Take the bun off with care.
Caution: After cooking the Rod will be hot. Use caution when handling. Bread may
burn therefore the Hot Dog Machine must not be used near or below curtains and
other flammable material..

Serve your hot dog with any type of sauce or condiments.
NOTE : To protect the appliance from overheating, the user must pour some water
into the Water Bowl.

Homemade BBQ sauce
Ingredients:
1 cup finely chopped onion
4 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
1 cup water
Black pepper
Place all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes. This sauce will last for
months in the refrigerator and may be served hot or cold.
Homemade Tomato Sauce
Ingredients:
6 tbsp olive oil
2 onions, sliced
1 tbsp crushed garlic
1 kg ripe tomatoes, un-peeled, seeds removed
1 teaspoon dried basil or 1⁄4 cup fresh basil, minced
1 tbsp fr esh parsley, minced
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Black pepper
Cream (optional)
White stock (optional)
Horseradish cream or radish (optional)
Heat oil in a large heavy-based skillet. Add onion and garlic and cook over a low heat
until soft. Add next six ingredients and simmer for 45 minutes. Transfer to a food
processor and puree. Return to saucepan and simmer for another 30 minutes. The
sauce should be thick and smooth. If a thinner sauce is desired, add a little cream or
chicken stock. The sauce may also be seasoned with horseradish or relish.

Chilli plum sauce
2 tbsp oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 stalk of celery
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1 tbsp dry sherry
1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 cup plum jam
Heat oil in large pan, add onion and celery and cook over a medium heat until soft
but not browned. Remove from heat, stir in sauces, sherry and ginger, then add plum
jam and mix well. Return to a very low heat, stir until bubbling, being careful not to
burn the jam.
Chutney sauce
2 cups mayonnaise
1⁄3 cup hot mango chutney
Dash of Tabasco sauce
1 dessertspoon of fresh ginger, finely grated
1⁄2 teaspoon garam masala
Combine all ingredients and serve cold.
Chilli BBQ sauce
4 tbsp chilli sauce
1⁄2 cup onion, minced
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp cider vinegar
2 teaspoons dry mustard
6 dashes Tabasco sauce
4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 cup water
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring. Simmer for 10
minutes. Can be made up to a week ahead and refrigerated.

Honey-vinegar sauce
Ingredients:
2 tbsp oil
1 onion, minced
1-2 cloves garlic
1⁄2 cup tomato sauce
1⁄2 cup cider vinegar
1⁄3 cup honey
1⁄4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon salt
Juice of 1 lemon
Heat oil in a saucepan over a low heat; add onion and garlic and sauté until soft. Add
remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Can be made up to 2 weeks ahead
and refrigerated.
Original hot dogs
Ingredients:
3 onions, finely sliced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
6 red wine beef sausages
6 bread buns, halved lengthways
Tomato sauce, mustard, to serve
Preheat barbecue on high. Cook onion on lightly oiled grill plate for 5 minutes,
stirring, until soft. Add brown sugar and cook for another 2 minutes. Drizzle with
vinegar and cook for another 2 minutes. Season to taste.
Meanwhile, steam sausages in the steamer and warm your bun. Spoon caramelised
onion into each bun, top with a sausage and serve with tomato sauce and mustard.
Use any favourite sausage.

Beans and Hot dogs casserole
Ingredients:
1 large green bell pepper, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 can (about 454 grams) baked beans, undrained
1 can (340 to 425 grams) whole kernel corn, drained
1 can (227 grams) tomato sauce
2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 pound hot dogs, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
4 slices American cheese, halved diagonally
Preparation:
In a skillet, sauté onion and green pepper in vegetable oil for about 5 minutes, or
until onion is tender. Stir in beans, corn, tomato sauce, chili powder, and mustard.
Add sliced hot dogs and stir to blend ingredients. Pour hot dog and beans mixture
into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole. Bake at 177°C for 25 minutes. Arrange
cheese slices over the top of casserole and bake 5 minutes longer, or until cheese has
melted.
Beans and hot dogs casserole serves 6.
