Bullseye for Caroline
C&O Warranty Administrator Caroline Baldry has just returned from representing Great
Britain in the European Field Archery championships in Terni, Italy. This was the first time
that Caroline has represented her country, which is a fantastic achievement for someone
who first picked up a bow only 8 years ago. Caroline was one of a team of 18 archers from
Great Britain. Members of the team took part in team and individual disciplines as part of
the week-long event. Caroline competed in the ladies individual recurve category, achieving
a very creditable 13th place.
‘It is the ultimate goal for any sportsperson to represent their country, to be competing
amongst the best in Europe and alongside Olympic athletes was an incredible
experience,’ said Caroline. Caroline now has her sights set on competing in the 2014 World
Championships.
Field Archery is a challenging sport that takes place in varied locations, for example in
woods or on mountain slopes, and requires the archer to adapt to each new situation.
Caroline’s trip to Italy was made possible in part by sponsorship from both C&O, New
Holland, Somerset County Archery Association and Grand Western Archery Society and
support from family and friends.

Ploughing Matches
New Holland have launched a new online community, open to
all farmers and everyone with an interest in farming, ‘My New
Holland’ offers all the functionalities of a virtual community,
providing a meeting place to share information, experiences
and opinions on topics related to farming and machinery.
C&O have been supporting ploughing
matches across our region with
Blandford YFC and the Isle of Wight
ploughing match already having
taken place. We’re looking forward
to supporting matches on the Isle of
Purbeck and across Wiltshire over the
coming months.
The feature that will make ‘My New Holland’ stand out from
other online communities is the Special: a guest expert – a
recognised authority in their specialty – will be invited to hold
a discussion on a topic of their choice that is relevant to the
farming industry. All My New Holland members will be invited
to contribute their comments, opinions, material or images,
driving the conversation forward with the guest expert. Topics
will cover a wide range of topics ranging from conservation
agriculture to efficient farming practices. Each discussion will
be open for a number of weeks; subsequently a white paper
will be produced and made available for downloading.
Owners of New Holland equipment can also gain access to
extra premium content that will help them get the best from
their machines. They can register the machines they own in
their profile and download their models’ operator manuals and
useful material from our training courses.
