Gardener’s Sale Our annual Gardeners’ Sale is scheduled on the Saturday after Mother’s Day. Stroll through our farmer’s market style sale that features over 40 vendors selling plants and gardening-related items. Proceeds from the sale fund our community projects. Saturday, May 17, 2014 8 AM – Noon Aurora Transportation Center–Metra Train Station 233 N. Broadway (Route 25) RAIN or SHINE FREE Parking The Fox Valley Garden Club has plants from member’s gardens, as well as annuals and perennials from a nursery available for sale at reasonable prices. Additionally, over 40 vendors offer annuals, perennials, vegetable plants, garden and yard art, garden related crafts, bird houses and feeders, and more. Food is also available. Mike Nowak, Illinois Master Gardener and columnist for Chicagoland Gardening Magazine will be at the Gardener’s Sale talking gardening in his very entertaining style at 9:00 a.m. followed by a meet and greet. Mark your calendar for this special opportunity to hear this gardening guru talk all things green and in the garden. Mike tells everyone “I’m not really a garden expert, I just play one on the radio.” Yet he has been named as one of the Top 5 Male Green talk show hosts on radio. If you miss his talk, you can tune in to hear Mike as the host of “The Mike Nowak Show” on Sundays from 9 to 11 a.m. on Chicago’s Progressive Talk, WCPT 820 AM and 92.5, 92.7 and 99.9 FM.
