SPECIFICATIONS
Glass tile is handmade in Aromas, CA of 100% recycled glass from the window and solar industries.
Glass tile qualifies for numerous LEED points. Each color is available in gloss or matte finish and
as with all handmade tile, some degree of variation is expected in each color. Please note color
variation chart in this spec sheet.

COLOR INFORMATION
• Available in 40 beautiful, contemporary glass colors in both gloss
and matte finishes. All glass colors are designed and hand-mixed
by Fireclay Tile using all natural color pigments. Natural variation is
inherent in color, texture and finish depending on the specific color.
There is a small element of variation in Crush colors due to how color
pigment reacts to heat. Crush colors are graded for variation. Note:

• Crush sizes will have subtle variation due to the handmade nature of
the product.
LEAD TIMES
• The Crush Series is made-to-order in approx. 2–3 weeks.
• Custom projects may take 6–8 weeks, please call a ceramicist to
discuss your project.
• Rush orders are available.
CUSTOM OPTIONS
• Custom colors are available. Please call or email with specific
instructions so we can best evaluate the project.
• Crush Recycled Glass Tile is made with 100% pre-consumer recycled
window glass collected within 20 miles of Fireclay's glass factory.
• The Crush firing process is substantially more energy efficient than
other glass tile manufacturers’.
• Crush may qualify for MR 4.1/4.2: Recycled Content (1–2 points), MR
5.1/5.2: Regional Materials (2 points), EQ 4.2: Low-Emitting Materials
(1 point).
• Fireclay packs materials in recycled cardboard boxes and on recycled
pallets or crates. We use compostable peanuts to pack Crush.
CONSIDERATIONS
• Avoid abrasive cleaners and chemicals, which may scratch or damage
the glass tile surface.
• Avoid un-sanded grout.
MANUFACTURING INFORMATION
• Crush Recycled Glass Tile is 100% manufactured by our expert team of
craftsmen in San Jose, California 95110.
INSTALLATION
• Please visit fireclaytile.com for detailed instructions.
• We recommend using white thin-set mortar, mixed with a liquid latex ad
mixture. Mastic is not an acceptable setting material for glass.
• Glass tiles should only be installed over cured and stable substrates.
We highly recommend that a crack suppression membrane be used to
prevent shrinkage or movement of the substrate to prevent cracking
of tile.
• For cutting, we recommend using a Diamond Blade wet saw, rough
edges may be smoothed with a sanding stone.
