Folklorama is excited to celebrate our 47th annual
Festival in 2016. We continue to be the largest and
longest running multicultural festival in the world.
From July 31 to August 13, you will be amazed by
spectacular performances, delicious ethnic cuisine,

Folklorama’s 2016 theme is “Woven Together”. We want to celebrate the
experience of how multiculturalism brings our city and province together.
We are honoured to show Festival attendees and visitors from far and wide
that Folklorama’s mission to celebrate diversity is an essential part of the
fabric of all our lives.

Join us at the Scandinavian Pavilion as we celebrate the achievements
of Nordic women through the ages. 2016 marks the 100th anniversary of
women’s suffrage in Manitoba, however 1000 years ago Nordic women
had the vote. From the longhouses of Viking time to modern parliaments,
from the stage to the operating theatre, with pen and with voice, Nordic
women have played a leadership role in advancing society.
