New J&J Ultra Light Dump Body
Bernie Fetter, an owner/
operator, recently took
possession of his new
J&J dump truck. The
ultra light steel body
is one of J&J’s most
popular dump truck
bodies. This one is 18½
feet long, 96 inches wide
and 60 inches high.
The truck also features
light panels on both
sides of the truck. The
top panels are polished
aluminum and the bottom
panels are polished
stainless steel. The body
is mounted on a new
Kenworth chassis.

Mid-Atlantic Waste Systems, an
authorized municipal distributor
of J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers,
ordered two steel material haulers
for a customer in Maryland. The
bodies are 17 feet long, 96 inches
wide, 42 inches high and were
mounted on Freightliner trucks.

J&J half round aluminum dump bodies are used primarily in
paving applications, hauling asphalt, gravel and other similar
materials. A stone and lime firm recently purchased five of these
dump bodies which were mounted on their Peterbilt trucks.

It was a beautiful day at Latrobe Airport in Pennsylvania when this picture was taken of
Unity Township’s new J&J dump trucks. The medium-duty dump bodies are mounted on
International trucks that were provided by Hunter’s Truck Center in Butler, PA.
The Unity Township Public Works Department maintains approximately 140 miles of roads.
Duties and responsibilities of the road crew include paving, winter maintenance, ditch
cleaning, removal of fallen trees along with many other tasks.

Economic Stimulus Act
On Feb. 13, President Bush signed the Economic Stimulus Act
(ESA) of 2008 into law. It includes significant incentives to
encourage equipment purchasing this year.
First, the ESA temporarily reinstates bonus depreciation.
Companies that buy equipment in 2008 will be able to
depreciate an additional 50 percent of the cost of assets placed
in service this year. As with the depreciation bonus enacted in
2002, only new equipment is eligible. For more information,

New Trucks for DelDOT
J&J Truck Equipment, in conjunction with Barr International, recently provided custom flat
bed sign trucks to the Delaware
Department of Transportation.
The trucks are installed with
generators, tool boxes, sign
holder and post storage compartments, and several other options. The trucks will be used by
the highway department during
road maintenance and construction projects.
