Who is it suitable for?
Radiofrequency is suitable for all clients who are concerned
with lifting and firming the skin and refining the appearance
of fine lines and wrinkles. It can also be used as a
preventative treatment for skin that is starting to show signs

How does it work?
The Sheerwave hand piece (flat and rounded applicator) is
slowly rotated over the target area transmitting radio waves
through the upper layers of the skin to the dermis, heating
the dermis to between 40 & 50 degrees Celsius without
burning the skin surface. The sensation is absolutely great, as
if you are having warm stones rotating on the surface of the

What should you do before treatment?
You should try to avoid doing anything that will irritate your
skin immediately before treatment. This includes sunbathing
(natural or artificial). Practitioners are unlikely to treat
someone who has sun burn for example, as they would be
more likely to suffer pain from the addition of heat to the
already damaged skin; however an established tan would be
fine.
How many treatments are recommended?
A course of 6 to 9 treatments is recommended with
treatments every 8 days to 4 weeks. After the course of
treatments, maintenance treatments are recommended
every 12 weeks.
