How to access the ECS, Schooltool Parent Portal
1.) First navigate to the Schooltool Parent Portal site by either
going to the Eldred School‟s website or by typing in the following
URL into your internet browser.

To access the Parent Portal from the Eldred School‟s website,
• go to www.eldred.k12.ny.us (previously: http://ecs.schoolwires.com )
• Navigate to the JSHS Home page by using the “Select a School” pull
down menu.
Once at the JSHS Home page, simply on the Parent‟s Channel.
This will open the „Parent‟s Directory‟.‟ Then click on School Tool
Parent Portal.
Once on the Schooltool login screen, to set up your Parent
Portal account…
1.) Type in your email address in the “Username” field.
2.) Click Login.
3.) Then Click on “New User or Forgot Password.”
4.) Type in your email address.

5.) Within seconds your temporary password will be sent to your email account.
6.)Open the email from “Schooltool Password Recovery”
7.) Highlight the password.
8.) Right click on the highlighted password and select copy. It‟s important to
use the copy and paste feature as some of the characters used in the
password are not easily duplicated using your keyboard.

9.) Paste your temporary password in the login screen by
right clicking in the “Password” field and selecting “paste.”
10.) Then click login.

You will now be in the Schooltool Parent Portal.
It is important to change your password to something you are familiar
with immediately.
11.) To change your password, select the “Account” tab.
12.) Paste your temporary password into the “Old Password” field by right
clicking on the field and selecting paste. If the password doesn’t paste,
simply open the email again and copy once more.
13.) Then type in a password, make sure it is something you will remember
and retype it in the “Confirm” field.
14.) Click on “Change Password.” This will now be your account password.

If you forget your password, simply go to the login screen and
follow the process over again.
Once you are in the Schooltool Parent Portal you will have the
following tabs available to you to view information concerning
your child.
•Contacts
•Schedule
•Attendance
•Discipline
•Grades
