How-To Register Online if You are New to GSHNJ
Note* Because our system creates a unique match between your member name and your record in our database,
these steps must be completed for each adult and girl individually.
STEP 1 Create Profile, Login & Account
STEP 3 Add Information to Customer Profile
Go to the JOIN button on our home page Click on the New Members button
Next screen click on the green Become a Member button Then complete
Customer Profile Form for the person you are registering
• All fields with * are required
• If you receive a “duplicate customer” message, your information is
in our database. Please follow the Step by Step instructions “How
to Re-Register Online – if you are new to online registration and
have not created a login”
Create a user name & password – this is your future login, save it
• User Name must be different for every family member
• Password needs to be at least 7 characters and include both letters
and numbers
• Family members may use the same password
• You will be asked to provide an answer to a security question
Click on Create a Profile – your account and your profile are now created
You are now in your profile screen
Girls
Parent/Guardian Drop down box for custodial care, complete information
on all guardians; a phone number is required in the first phone number
field
• School Click the Add/Change button – Type the School Name or
partial school name – click Search button – click on the school name
to add to your record
• Pathway of Entry is Troop if participating in a Troop
Adults Add your position code if you are a volunteer (add as many as you need
for all of your positions in as many troops/SUs you volunteer)
• Click on Add Position
• Click choice in the drop-down
• Type troop number, or SU number for SU positions
(example: for Service Unit 52 type SU052)
• Click on Add Position button again to populate the field
Click on the SAVE button at bottom of the screen to continue

STEP 4 Pay by Credit Card
Carefully Select a Membership Option
• Selection 2013 covers membership from October 1, 2012 to
September 30, 2013
• Selection 2014 covers membership from October 1, 2013 to
September 30, 2014 – Note, new members will be covered for the
month of September 2013 with this choice
• GSHNJ is not able to provide a refund if incorrect Membership year
is selected
Click ADD TO CART
• Product detail will say “product successfully added to your cart”
Look in Mini Cart box on lower left side of screen
complete required fields (marked with *)
Click on CHECKOUT
Use your credit card to pay After payment is made an Order Summary with an
order number appears in a Payment Information Box You will receive an email
confirmation from [email protected] with the subject “Girl Scouts – Girl
Membership Confirmation” (SAVE) This is your proof of registration and it must
be submitted to your troop leader, by paper or email.
• MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted
• Adult annual membership fee is $15.00
• Girl annual membership fee is $15 and Council Service fee is $15;
for a total of $30.00 per girl
(shows as two line items on the check out page)
• Donations can be made with your registration
• Click on My Account in the upper left menu
• Log out (upper right corner) before registering another member
After October 1st your new membership card can be printed from your “My
Account” page.
