How to configure WAN to WWAN Failover on AirCard Hub
How to configure WAN to WWAN Failover on AirCard Hub Pre-Requisites: 1. 2. 3. 4. Sierra Wireless AirCard Hub Sierra Wireless AirCard 760S PC, Laptop, Tablet or Smartphone to set it all up Ethernet to your fixed internet connection 1. Connect your fixed internet connection to the AirCard Hub via a LAN cable. Make sure to plug LAN cable into port that is marked blue on the back of the AirCard Hub like below: 2. Sit AC760s in the cradle and wait for icons on screen to show that its successfully using the Hub like below: 3. Log into the AirCard Hub via WiFi and open up the WebUI via an internet browser by typing http://swi.hub into the address bar like below: 4. Enable Power User mode by checking the Power User option 5. Click on Switch to advanced view to take you to login screen. 6. Log into the WebUI with user: admin pass: admin and click submit. 7. On the next screen you will need to switch the Hub to WAN mode. You can do this by selecting WAN from the dropdown list under the heading Ethernet Port Status at the bottom of the page: 8. When you see the below prompt click OK to continue: 9. If the settings were successfully applied you should now see CURRENT WAN like below in the list: 10. From the menus at the top of the page Highlight Internet Settings then select WAN 11. From the drop down list under the heading Fail-over Settings select WWAN Failover if WAN Link down and click Save You have no successfully configured the AirCard Hub to failover to AC760S if your fixed internet connection is down!!!!! You can test this by just unplugging the LAN cable to see if it switches to AC760S. It should switch over instantly.
