How to interpret the Structure-Function Report
How to interpret the Structure-Function Report Examination: This section refers to the examination dates and the time span between HRT and HEP examination. HRT RESULTS Moorfields Regression Analysis (MRA): Sectoral classification based on the relation of rim to disc area globally and for each sector considering the age of the patient according to Moorfields Regression Analysis. The ratio of the neuroretinal rim area is compared to the respective normative database. Green checks indicate normal results, yellow exclamation marks indicate borderline, and red X´s indicate outside normal limits. Please note the temporal inferior and superior are most sensitive for detecting early damage. Test Information: This section displays information about the test time and date, the kind of stimulus, stimulus size, test pattern, pupil diameter, refraction and tools used during visual field acquisition. Patient Performance and Global Indices: This section displays the total number of False Positive and False Negative catch trials as well as Fixation Losses during the test. The section of global indices summarizes the VF status. Mean Deviation (MD) and Pattern Standard Deviation (PSD) as well as the Glaucoma Hemifield Test (GHT) help the clinician evaluating the visual field. HEP RESULTS Sensitivity, Total or Pattern Deviation: The color-coded upper graph displays the patients´ threshold values in decibel. The lower graph can be chosen to show either the grayscale, the probability maps of the Total or Pattern Deviation. The Structure-Function Map: HRT and HEP results are conjointly displayed as a double ring system. Two rings are projected on the reflectance image of the ONH. The inner ring represents the structural measurement of the HRT, the outer ring represents the visual field result of the HEP. The color-coding of the two rings is consistent to the Moorfields Regression Analysis (MRA) and follows the principle of traffic signals. A green sector when “inside normal limits”; a yellow sector when “borderline”; and a red sector when “outside normal limits”. How to interpret the StructureFunction OU Report Patient Data and Examination: This section displays general patient information as patient name, gender, date of birth, patient ID and ethnicity. Examination dates are given as well as the time span between HRT and HEP examinations. HRT RESULTS Moorfields Regression Analysis (MRA): Sectoral classification based on the relation of rim to disc area is given for each sector under consideration of the age of the patient according to Moorfields Regression Analysis. Measured values are compared to the respective normative database. Green checks indicate normal results, yellow exclamation marks indicate borderline, and red X´s indicate outside normal limits. Temporal inferior and superior are most sensitive for detecting early damage. Table lists six most important stereometric parameters as well as probability values. Sensitivity, Total or Pattern Deviation: The graph display may be chosen by the operator and either show the grayscale, the probability maps of the Total or Pattern Deviation. Test Information, Patient Performance and Global Indices : This section displays information about the kind of stimulus used, strategy and test pattern. It also displays the total number of False Positive and False Negative catch trials as well as Fixation Losses during the test. The section of global indices summarizes the VF status.
