SynchroDisk is supplied including full power electronics. There is a choice of CT, ART,
ABB, and other drives, especially selected to get the highest dynamic results from its
powerful motor. Both drive-level as well as external motion control can be used, depending on your selection of control system. And… it comes as a fully adjusted and commissioned kit. I/O is fully prepared for future standardization, covering all known digital
and analogue signals used in the market. Internal processor and full redundant software
components control the two brakes and all safety functions such as the integrated load
cell, the slack-wire detection, end switches and automatic speed ramping.

Its permanent magnets ensure absolute stability on brake release, a consistent speed
result regardless the load, and superior synchronised behaviour between engines.
The drawback of standard synchronic motors, a whistling high-frequency noise, has been
completely eliminated due to the large diameter and low nominal speed of the motor shaft.
The motor’s special alloy works as a natural heat sink and therefore no forced cooling is
needed. The drum is also an extra acoustic filter since all motor parts are contained within.
Therefore, SynchroDisk’s acoustic noise is extremely low, eliminating the need for special
machine-chambers.
