This statement should be completed and signed by entrants participating in the preparation of the research paper. Declaration and statement of authorship 1.
I/we hold a copy of this research paper, which can be produced if the original is lost/damaged; 2.
This research paper is my/our original work and no part of it has been copied from any other organisation or individual work or from
any other source except where due acknowledgment is made; 3.
No part of this research paper has been written for me/us by any other person except where such collaboration has been authorised
by the ASF and is clearly acknowledged in the research paper; 4.
I/we have not previously submitted or are currently submitting this work for any other competition or award;
5.
This research paper may be reproduced, and/or communicated for the purpose of detecting plagiarism;
6.
I/we give permission for a copy of my/our marked work to be retained by the ASF for review by external parties;
7.
I/we understand that plagiarism is the presentation of the work, idea or creation of another person as though it is your own. It is a
form of cheating and is a very serious academic offence. Plagiarised material can be drawn from, and presented in, written, graphic
and visual form, including electronic data, and oral presentations. Plagiarism occurs when the origin of the material used is not
appropriately cited. Enabling plagiarism is the act of assisting or allowing another person to plagiarise or to copy your work; and

Instructions to applicants 1.
Send your research and the completed cover sheet (“Application Form”) to [email protected] by the closing date and
time;
2.
You should ensure that attributes identifying the author directly or indirectly are removed from the submitted research paper; 3.
Each submission much be submitted electronically, in Microsoft word format, with the file name saved as the title of the paper which
also corresponds to the title in this Application Form;
4.
Only the Application Form should contain identifying attributes;
5.
Each piece of research will be uniquely numbered by the ASF executive office upon receipt; and
6.
Judges will not know the identity of the winning author/s until the prize has been awarded.

Prize Rules, Terms and Conditions 9.
Criteria
a. Open to all of the industry, both members and non‐members:
b. Joint entries are eligible (i.e. more than one author);
c. Any topic is admissible or one can be selected from the ASF suggested topics list (refer to the ASF website www.securitisation.com.au).
Industry, regulators, government and academia can submit topics of interest to the ASF to be included on the research list for
candidates to consider;
d. Submissions are to be made to the ASF along with a properly completed Application Form. Each entry will be admitted to the judging
panel anonymously;
e. The judging panel will be drawn from the ASF faculty and ASF membership; f.
The ASF reserves the right to publish any or all research papers on the ASF website (www.securitisation.com.au);
g. Winners will be requested to submit a short article about their research for the Australian Securitisation Journal, and be available for a
presentation at the annual ASF Securitisation Conference if required; and st
h. Applications must be submitted by midnight July 31 annually to be considered for inclusion and awards at the forthcoming
conference. Otherwise they will be held over for the following year, subject to the ASF continuing with the award.
10.
Appeals a. There is no appeals process; and b. The judges’ decisions are final and not open to challenge. 11.
Intellectual Property and Other Legal Matters
a. It is the ethical and legal duty of applicants to ensure, and warrant as such, that:
i.
their work is unique and original to them;
ii.
any references are acknowledged;
iii.
there is no risk of defamation or slander in the work; and
iv.
there are no other legal risks reasonably arising;
b. The author retains ownership of the research, however grants the ASF the authority to reproduce, republish, reference and use the
research with references to the author; and
c. The ASF reserves the right to publish any or all research papers on the ASF website (www.securitisation.com.au).
12.
Publicly Funded Research
Research that may, is, or has already received public funds to develop, in whole or in part, the work is permitted provided that it does not
give rise to unmanageable conflicts of interest or preclude the ASF from using the material in whatever way it so chooses.
