Flexible System Integration
The Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000
XRS Open Autosampler features a versatile
automatic, open architecture sampling
platform for easy access to samples and all
components of the autosampler fluidics.
The UltiMate 3000 XRS Open Autosampler
is integrated into the LC system by an
autosampler table which is adjustable in
height. All other UltiMate 3000 modules
are placed below the table, so each
system configuration with a height of up to
64 cm (25.2 in.) neatly fits underneath the
autosampler.
The UltiMate 3000 XRS Open Autosampler
is equipped with an ultra-high pressure
injection valve (125 MPa/18,130 psi) for
UHPLC and UHPLC-MS applications.
Furthermore, it offers the possibility of
adding up to two additional valves, arranged
in a vertical stack, that can be used as
switching valves.
Both XRS open autosampler configurations
provide an outstanding sample capacity
for high throughput applications. The
OAS-3300TXRS accommodates a maximum
of six normal or deep well plates,
6 × 54 2-mL vials, or any combination of
these formats. The OAS-3600TXRS can
handle up to 12 normal well plates.
Reliable sample thermostatting ensures the
integrity of temperature-sensitive samples.
The sample temperature can be set between
4 °C and 40 °C.

Ultra-Low Carryover
The UltiMate 3000 XRS Open Autosampler
features the Dynamic Load and Wash (DLW)
station which provides an efficient way of
reducing carryover even when working with
complex samples.
Up to two washing solvents, delivered by
integrated micro pumps, effectively wash the
entire sample path, including the injection
port and valve and the outside and inside
of the sample needle. Wash timing for each
solvent and wash cycle options are software
selectable. The use of the DLW feature
in the XRS Open Autosampler results in
extremely low carryover (typically <0.003%
for chlorhexidine).

Chromeleon™ software has the capability to integrate full instrument
control for the complete range of UltiMate 3000 LC modules with
other software. Thermo Scientific Dionex DCMSLink provides the
integration with mass spectrometry software from Thermo Scientific’s
Xcalibur software, as well as Analyst® and HyStar™ software.
Additionally UltiMate 3000 instrument interfaces are available for
Thermo Scientific Atlas software and Empower™ software. These
solutions provide Chromeleon’s advanced instrument control
capabilities in the user’s familiar software environment.
