INTRODUCTION
Dear participants of Pajulahti Games 2014
Pajulahti Games is being arranged for the fourth time now, as the event has established
its place in the beautifully wintery Finnish area of Pajulahti. The athletes are happily
coming back year after year, and it really has a warming effect on the organising team
behind the event. It is a pleasure to be here again making this great event possible for all
the athletes, representing different sports.
An international referee clinic in goalball is being organised together this year’s Pajulahti
Games. Renewed international rules for years 2014 - 2017 will be valid from the
beginning of New Year, thus we want to give an opportunity to the referees to update
their knowledge on that matter. Some of the referees taking part in the Games will also
be appointed for the next summer World Championships held in Espoo.
On behalf of the organising committee, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all
the people making this event possible, especially Sports Institute Pajulahti, for creating
these great facilities for the competing as well as training.
A very warm welcome to everyone! Wishing you all a lot great moments of joy and
success in the Pajulahti Games 2014.

TRANSPORTS
Transports to and from the airport will be organized by buses. A member of the
Organising committee is waiting for your team at the airport with a sign: Pajulahti
Games. The transport schedule you will find on the attachment.
In Pajulahti you don't need any transportation. All venues are on the same area.

Team meetings
The teams can ask for meeting rooms from the reception or from the competition office.

Competition office (Map A)
Competition office will be in the main building, near the reception.
Only staff members can enter the competition office. All countries can have all the
information from there.

PROGRAM
6.1. Swimming and sauna (Map A)
The swimming pool will be available during the games, Thu - Sun 19:00 - 22:00.
Lakeside Sauna with ´hole in the ice´ will be available on Wed - Sun 18:00 - 22:00
Please, bring your own towel!
6.2. Fitness gym
The fitness gym will be available Thursday - Sunday 08:00 - 21:30.
6.3. Disco
A good competition needs a good farewell party. The disco will be organized on Saturday
21:00 – 23:00 in the dining room.
In the evening the organizing committee invites all athletes, staffs, referees and
volunteers to the farewell party with music, dancing and enjoying each other’s company!

Red Cross - First Aid services
The first aid service will be available from January 17th to 19th 2014 during the games at
the playing halls.

During the competition we have a room, with four massaging tables available. The teams

ANTIDOPING CONTROL
The Antidoping testing team might be present at Pajulahti Games.
According to the international rules, in case of athlete necessarily needing to use
forbidden drugs, a Standard TUE Application Template must be valid. This form must be
with you when you will come to Pajulahti Games.
