With 41 years of experience in all facets of facilies electrical engineering, David is a senior consultant providing Compliance & Facilies Consulng services for SSR’s clients. Before joining SSR, he was Senior Engineer for more than 10 years for the Boston-based Partners Healthcare System. He is an accomplished speaker, trainer, and author with considerable naonal exposure. He has spoken regularly at dozens of naonal and state conferences for 20 years and has been published over 50 mes. David chairs ASHE Task Forces and is also Chairman of the NFPA 110/111 Technical Commi5ee on Emergency Power Supplies. Ralph Graham, BS EET, MHA, CHFM is the Director of Ulies Management at University of Alabama Birmingham, in Birmingham, AL. In this capacity Ralph presently oversees the operaons of Ulies Services across the enre University campus, covering over 15 million square feet of hospital and campus buildings. Ralph has been with the university over 6 years serving as the Director of Hospital maintenance, the Director of Campus maintenance and now serves in the role of Director of Ulies Management. He has served in the healthcare field for over 30 years in 8 different organizaons in 6 different states. Ralph is a member of the Alabama Society for Healthcare Engineers serving as a board member and President in 2000. He has also been a member of the Georgia and Kentucky Sociees for Hospital Engineers. Ralph has been a member of ASHE since the early 80’s serving on several ASHE Commi5ees, and is serving on the board of the AHACC, for the CHFM (Cerfied Healthcare Facility Manager) Program Commi5ee. Ralph and Pam have been married for 33 years and have three children, Sean 28, Emily 27, Sarah 25 and two grandchildren, Cedric 5 and Ayden 2. Ed Tinsley, PE, CEM, LEED® AP, HFDP, CHFM, CHC is the CEO of Bernhard, LLC and an Execuve Managing Principal at TME. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Ed has more than 30 years of industry experience, both as a consultant and as facility manager for a large hospital. During his career, he has specialized in the field of energy conservaon. He has taught more than 150 classes on a variety of subjects including venlaon systems, high performance chilled water systems, MEP/FP systems, medical gas systems, project management, infecon control and risk assessment, energy procurement, performance contracng, commissioning, sustainable design, and energy conservaon. In addion, he has authored numerous magazine arcles and white papers on these subjects, including many secons of ASHE’s Health Facility Commissioning Guidelines. He is the recipient of the 2010 ASHE Crystal Eagle Award, as well as several other awards, including two Presidenal Awards for Leadership in Federal Energy Management, the ACEC Engineering Excellence Award and eight ASHRAE Energy Awards. Caleb Haynes, PE is a Principal/Branch Manager at TME in the Birmingham office. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He has 5 years of experience in healthcare and higher educaon consulng engineering at TME. During his career, he has specialized in healthcare engineering for new construcon, renovaon, retro-commissioning, and infrastructure projects. Caleb is also acvely involved in ASHRAE, where he serves on the society commi5ee for Young Engineers in ASHRAE and helps to plan and facilitate leadership development weekends for engineers all over the world. Edward Paulk is the Alabama State Fire Marshal. The mission of the State Fire Marshal’s office is to provide inspecon services, conduct invesgaons of fires and explosions, insurance fraud, prevent the commission of arson and related crimes, protect lives and property from fire and explosions, and provide visitors and cizens of the state a safe environment in which to live, work, and play.
