ABOUT THE SOCIETY
Progressive Education Society was established in the year 1934 by Prof.
Shankarraoji Kanitkar, who was a veteran teacher and a social worker. The society
was established with an aim to provide education to all sectors of the community.
Today P. E. Society is headed by Hon. Dr. G. R. Ekbote who is the Chairman of
Business Council of Progressive Education Society. Under his able guidance, P. E.
SCOPE OF SEMINAR
This seminar encompasses the lectures of eminent resource persons and
interaction on importance and issues related to the Technology transfer and
implementation of Quality by Design in Pharmaceutical research. The regulatory
bodies have emphasized to build quality into the products during multi-phase
product development life cycle and to enhance product and/or process

ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Modern College of Pharmacy was established in 1998 by P. E. Society at
yamunanagar, Nigdi, Pune in the close proximity of the industrial belt of Pimpri Chinchwad. The name of Society and that of our college, typifies the Society’s
mission to be “Progressive” in education and “Modern” in technical knowledge.
The college has carved out a special niche for importing quality education in
pharmacy and research. Our College is approved by Government of Maharashtra,
All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India. It
is permanently affiliated to University of Pune. College is also accredited by NAAC.
College is recognised under 2f and 12(B) by UGC, New Delhi. Under the able
leadership of Principal Dr. P. D. Chaudhari, the college offers B. Pharmacy, M.
Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology & Quality
Assurance Techniques) and Ph. D in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry
and Pharmacology .
